  My family and I stayed at The Dolphin Inn during September. Coming from all over Virginia it was important for us to find a home away from home and that is exactly what we found as it had countless amenities and extras. We have been staying in the Outer Banks for many years in many nice places, but this is the last place we will stay- We loved it!!

  We arrived and were most pleased with the accommodations. We were able to relax and to enjoy the area as well as the house. It was indeed a very restful week. I have rented homes similar to Dolphin Inn in Fenwick Island, Delaware on a couple of occasions. The Dolphin Inn is an excellent alternative to the Delaware accommodations. Thanks so much for the opportunity to enjoy this home.

  The "Dolphin Inn" is a gorgeous beach house! The owners are very responsive to meet your needs to ensure your perfect vacation experience. The home has been thoughtfully and tastefully decorated with unbelievable attention to detail. Take time to review the amenities provided on their website. The rooms are large and comfortable. The home layout with three levels is perfect allowing privacy for everyone. The bedrooms on the upper and middle levels each have a sliding glass door to the balconies so you can go outside and not disturb others in your party. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. Centrally located to stores and restaurants I am certain everyone will have an enjoyable vacation. Once you are settled in, please take a few minutes to read their welcome binder that provides you with detailed information about the area. I highly recommend this home for your vacation. It will be a memorable vacation!!

  This was the first time I had planned a family vacation for my extended family. The stakes were somewhat high as my In-Laws would be travelling from the West Coast to be here. Everyone was very impressed as even with the rather large number of small children (My two kids + my sister's four kids - all are under 7) there was ample space and it was obvious that the owners went out of their way to make sure the house was adequate at not only housing, but entertaining both small kids and adults. We also had Thanksgiving dinner at the house and the kitchen was stocked well enough to make and eat the meal without needed to bring cooking utensils from home. We used to Marina to launch our small fishing boat (free of charge) and we snagged a few nice sea trout from underneath the 158 bridge. We also collected and ate at least a bushel of the best (and largest) oysters I've ever eaten (Raw, Steamed, Grilled and Baked). We got those from down near the Oregon Inlet when the weather turned too sour to continue gigging for flounder. The house even had an oyster knife. My in-laws commented at how thoughtful the owners had been at furnishing the house and the amenities that were included. We're currently discussing coming back to stay in the Summer. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. My sister commented that she would be willing to pay twice the price asked in retrospect to do it again... and she's the cheapest person I know. Did I mention the location is perfect? It's out of the commercial area but close enough to Harris Teeter and Wal-Mart to grab stuff right before dinner. Duck is only a few miles up the road and is a very neat little town with a great vibe. 5 Stars for sure.

  We had such a fantastic time in the Outer Banks and the Dolphin Inn made our stay nothing short of wonderful ! We thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities the property offers along with the beautiful decor and spacious layout of the home. It's a pet friendly property which, is a huge plus for us dogs lovers. The owners couldn't have be kinder or more willing to go out of their way to ensure we had a great stay at their property. Our daughters had the time of their lives on the beach building sand castles and exploring the sand dunes with wild horses ! The mini golf courses and go cart tracks made for a couple of fun evenings out for our entire family. There's so much to see and do in the OBX and we look forward to returning again next year to make some more amazing memories !!!

  My family and I recently stayed at the Dolphin Inn and could not have been more satisfied with our experience. The house was very clean and well kept, kid friendly activities were nearby, and the owners were extremely helpful and accomadating. Jorge is very friendly and wants to ensure you have the best vacation possible while staying at his house. He keeps in touch with you and offers much advice on where to dine and where to go for fun activities, especially for the children. Whenever I called him, he could not be happier to help answer any questions I had. We did have an issue with the hot tub not working when we first arrived and he was able to have it fixed within 2 days, amazing turnaround time....with that said, we definitely will be returning for another family vacation next year!

  Jorge and Suzannah were the most accommodating people I have ever delt with. Their superb home was jus right for our impromptu family vacation. This was our first time to the Outer Banks and we were nervous walking into an unfamiliar situation but Jorge was a patient guide and provided a house that was certainly more than we could have hoped for. Every room was perfectly clean and comfortable, the living areas were large and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked with any appliance most people could need. The porches were perfect for early morning cups of coffee overlooking the beach just down the road and the pool and hot tub were just perfect. I will definitely try to visit as many times as they will have us!

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dolphin Inn!! Jorge and Suzannah have added so many thoughtful touches!! 11 of us traveled from New Hampshire and Vermont to enjoy the Outer Banks the last week of April, and it was a fabulous family vacation!! This rental property exceeded all of our expectations and it is an absolute must if you are traveling to the Outer Banks!!!! The Dolphin Inn is a family vacation dream with the perfect amount of space, great lay out and incredible amenities!!! Much thanks to Jorge and Suzannah!!!

  My parents, my fiance, and I stayed at the Dolphin Inn this March and had a wonderful time. This house had incredible features from the hot tub, to flat screens in every room, to a deck with an incredible view. We love to cook and this house had a great kitchen with some pretty handy supplies. The house has very easy access to a beautiful spread of beach. The grocery stores and other shops are convenient to get to but definitely not too close for comfort. The four of us had an incredible time and hated to leave. We sure hope to get another chance to visit the Dolphin in, ZERO disappointments, a truly perfect get away.

  The important question and answer: Would I stay here again? Definitely. It was a GREAT vacation spot. We had a hodge podge of friends and children ages 5-12, coming from as far away as Buffalo NY, and the house worked perfectly for us. It was mid-April and temps were only 55-75, so the hot tub was used everyday. Big enough to hold 5 adults comfortably, maybe 6, provided you could get the kids out of it. The house was exactly as described on the website and laid out in a really useful way. The backyard is really private. Rooms and furniture were up to date and more than comfortable. The house was spotless and all mechanical stuff worked. The top floor was the gathering place and filled with light, open to kitchen, dining and living room tv. Loved hanging out on all the decks/porches. Brought our dog--what a great amenity the outdoor kennel is! The owners were WONDERFUL to deal with! They were so helpful in so many ways, not the least of which was recommending things to do and good places to eat. Can't say enough good things about this place--the owners have thought of everything and they truly care about visitors having an awesome stay. One drawback on the location: although it is an short walk to the beach, the house is on the soundside of the Outer Banks, so crossing Duck Road to get to the beach was a little bit stressful with the younger kids. It's just a two-lane road, but it was busy. Someone more familiar with the Outer Banks would have known this, but we didn't. Otherwise, its location in Southern Shores is perfect: quiet beach, but close to everything for sightseeing and going out; a little less chaotic than Nags Head. Duck shops are within walking distance even (2 miles maybe?). Would definitely recommend this place!
