Situated in one of the most idyllic part of Tuscany and hidden among secular holm-oaks, pines, vineyards, olive groves, ponds and creeks, Palazzo Sarteano, an historical farm of 220 hectars, has that special charm of Etruscan sites. <b>At guests' disposal:</b> There are 7 different independent accommodation on the Farm. Six of them are within walking distance, which makes it the parfect place to be rented by a group (wedding, small meeting etc..) and still have a big privacy. The Castle sleeps 12; Elisabetta sleeps 10; Bernardo sleeps 10; Bachiarro sleeps 4/6; Sant'Elena sleeps 3/5; Bernardino sleeps 2/3; San Pietro (more isolated and not published) sleeps 6/8. There is a big swimming pool in the Farm with magnificent view on vineyards and hills, 10x20mt. At the end of an oak-lined drive stands the large medieval residence with its elegant loggia and bell tower, its chapel painted with frescoes from the 16th century and its lovely inner courtyard. Wi-Fi internet connection available free of charge in the pool's area. <b>Distances:</b> The farm is located close to Sarteano (6 Km), to Chianciano (4 Km), famous for their thermal waters, and to Chiusi (about 10 km, train station), rich in fascinating archaeological sites and near the border line between Umbria and Toscana. This area offers not only healthy vacations and a variety of outdoor activities, but is also an interesting departure point for learning about culture and traditions of this region. The property is only 4 Km from the Highway A1, making it a centre for major sightseeing. Florence, Perugia and Assisi are all very accessible, Gubbio and Orvieto less than one hour drive away. Rome can be reached both by train from Chiusi, or with two hours drive. The Valdichiana is an excellent holiday base, opening up both the Siena region and the Umbria region around Lake Trasimeno. This was one of the most important domains of Etruscans; the town of Chiusi was a point of exchange before Rome was founded. Any nook of the countryside can hide a treasure: a little church with an unknown artistic work or an ancient memory of a battle. The nature, makes this zone very various and unique. This cosy apartment is near the Castle but with independent entrance from an ancient arch. External stairs lead to the apartment located on first floor.
