Why the Owner Chose Cookeville

Cove Creek Cottage was home to me for six years. I thought I needed a much bigger home so I opened the cottage up for rental. It was an immediate success and I could never "move back home". The location and amenities surrounding Cove Creek and the short drives to two small towns make it a very unique rental.

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin

Escaping the rush of day to day is what I enjoy most about Cove Creek. When I pull thru the gate and am suddenly surrounded by nature, with noone in site, I truly start to unwind and feel as though I'm 1,000 miles away from the world. Cove Creek is my little place of "healing" mentally, physically and spiritually...the cottage is God Given !!!

Great Weekend Retreat!

Guest: J & C (Nashville, TN)
Date of Stay: 07/15/11 Review Submitted: 07/23/11

What a great little cottage! We enjoyed a rainy night in (very cozy to hear the rain on the roof and falling through the forest all around), the waterfall in the backyard, and hiking to other fantastic falls and views in the private parks. Ate at 2 great restaurants in nearby Cookeville recommended by the owner, Renee, who was wonderfully helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Owner response:J & C Thrills me to know you found our great getaway close enough to home to escape for a weekend ! Thank you much for the kind words and look forward to sharing my paradise in the mountains with you and your family next time. Renee

What a perfect place to unwind. Very secluded and the house had everything one would need. The bunkhouse area and waterfalls were the highlight of our stay. I truly can't say enough about how great the place is. Renee was very accommodating, and we look forward to staying here again next year. Darrell Asheville, NC

WOW! If you ever need a place to retreat - to relax - to unwind this is it! Thank you Renee for the most wonderful vacation we have had for years! Loved your area - loved your cottage - loved the whole experience. Super hiking trails and awesome ledges; very clean cottage, contemporary lodge-like and oh so comfy! Thank you for making us feel so "at home!" You are the best! We plan to be back in April to see those waterfalls and flowers. Can't wait!

This place is magnificient! I'd be surprised to hear that anyone did not love it. The house is charming, and parts of the property (particularly the creek, waterfall and cave area) are beautiful. We'll be back. Highly recommended.

We had a fabulous mini-spring break at the cabin! My 6-year-old thought we were world-renown 'explorers' when we went on the many wonderful hiking trails behind the cabin and in the private park! And the ready-to-light bonfire was such a great touch! Nothing tastes better than hot dogs and smores with the sound of a private waterfall in the background! Thanks, Renee, for a great get-away!

My husband & I stayed at this picture perfect cabin at the height of the Fall leaves turning & we could not have been happier. Upon our arrival on a late & rainy night, Renee led us into the property where she had candles glowing in every room. Just what these weary travelers needed. The scenery was unbelievable. You don't have to leave the property to have a great time. We had a sunset picnic at one of the overlooks, we sat by our own waterfall and bonfire(that was ready & waiting for us), we even watched a little college football on the big TV by a roaring fire. This cabin is everything the website says it is...and more.

Renee, Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful property with us. The house was so nice and welcoming, especially the wood fireplace. The weather was cold and rainy and we didn't get to venture to the parks & trails. The cave and waterfall behind the house an extra treat. Looking forward to visiting again soon! Linda & Fred the bottle of wine for our honeymoon was extra nice Thanks again

Excellent location to get to many popular waterfalls. The home is beautifully decorated and set back off the road for privacy. Hope to be back in the spring for the flowers and the roaring waterfalls.
