Villa Cerretalta is in a wonderful position on a small hill surrounded by Brunello vineyards, within the national park of Val D'Orcia. The property is set between the cities of Montalcino and San Quirico D'Orcia (both are about 10 Km away), yet in few minutes you can reach the little town of Torrenieri (5 Km) where you can find the nearest shops, supermarket and restaurants. <b>At guests' disposal:</b> Baby bed and highchair available on site free of charge. Motor vehicle access to the house: 3 km via unpaved road. Originally Villa Cerretalta was built as a typical Tuscan farmhouse and was converted into a private house by the current owners. Part of the main building is dated back to the 15th century, whereas the other was rebuilt in the postwar period because of the damages it went through. The fully renovation of the estate has been respectful of its history, preserving the original structure of the house and as many architectural characteristics as possible. Some pieces of antique furniture in traditional Tuscan rural style have been included as well. The Villa is about 500 sqm on ground and first floors. Ground floor: From the courtyard you enter a large hallway that leads through archways to the other rooms. The kitchen is equipped with cabinets, a built-in gas hob, dishwasher, microwave oven and fridge/freezer. There is also a wooden table and chairs. There is a huge lounge room with four characteristic brick columns, several seating areas with armchairs and sofas, a brick built fireplace, a large wooden dining table with many chairs and two other smaller tables. A big arched wooden double door leads to the cortyard. Another room with a brick column in the centre is for leisure use and it includes a billiard-table and a table football. There are also two bathrooms with shower and a small laundry room with washing machine. A brick built internal staircase leads to the first floor. First floor: As soon as you walk up the stairs, there is a lovely small area with a writing desk, two chairs and a computer for the guests' use when the internet connection is requested (service to pay on the spot). There is also a two-seat sofa. A long corridor with typical Sienese terracotta tiled floor leads to four bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with shower and the other with shower/bathtub, plus another bedroom that has an en suite bathroom with shower and an independent entrance. Across the hallway there is a sizable dining room. The main characteristic of this space is a large brick built open fireplace, in addition to a big wooden table with chairs, two armchairs and the TV set. This room has also an independent entry from the courtyard through the main external flight of stairs. An original ancient wide arch (that has been recovered during the restoration of the house) opens into the fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, cupboards and a wooden table with marble top. At one side of the dining room, another smaller hallway leads to other two bedrooms and a large, fully-equipped bathroom with an oversized shower.
