The pictures do not do this villa justice. We were amazed at how beautiful the villa was. Everything is up to date and very comfortable. The back porch is a very lovely way to wind down and end the day. It was a very short walk to the beach and everything was so close by. I love it's central location making it easy to get to either side of the Island in minutes. I will definitely be back.

A home away from home at Christmas

We just complete our (2 adults and our terrific dog Scruffy) third stay at this wonderful villa. As with our earlier visits the villa met our every need. We bbq'd on the patio and made complete meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The villa was impeccably clean and comfortable. The neighbors are all very friendly and Donna is so accommodating when our travel plans are changed by snowy weather. We can't think of anywhere we'd rather spend our Christmas. The opportunity to golf and walk the nearby beach simply adds to experience. Very quiet complex that is centrally located close to stores and restaurants.

The villa in Stones Throw was a beautiful, clean, comfortable place for our family to get away for a week's vacation at the beach. We loved the ability to bring our dogs, which is a rarety nowadays. We also have a 2 year old son and enjoyed the ability to use the wagon to carry him and all our stuff down to the beach. He also enjoyed not having to walk back after a long day on the beach! :o) The 5-minute walk to the beach is an enjoyable one and doesn't even feel like it takes that long. Donna was very helpful and kind during the booking process as well as during our stay. The nearby area (including dining and shopping) was easy to navigate and had all the places we could want to go. We will definitely suggest this villa to friends and relatives and we hope to be able to stay here in the future ourselves.

Stayed in villa 6/11-6/18/11. This was our 2nd year staying in this villa. Once again.. it was perfect. The villa is set up with everything we needed. It is very clean and the owners are so sweet and very accommodating. We like being able to BBQ and prepare meals. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities. The whole complex is very peaceful and quiet. The walk to the beach is enjoyable and mostly shaded. We appreciate being able to take our dog, so she can enjoy the walks on the beach with us. We are already planning our trip to stay again next year!

My husband, two sons, and one dog just spent a quick weekend at Stones Throw. The villa was spotlessly clean with brand new fixtures. The decor was far above ordinary Hilton Head rental. It was also nice to have a king-sized bed! Owner Donna was extremely helpful and very quick to answer all my questions. She went above and beyond to make sure we would be comfortable there. I definitely recommend this villa!

We are so lucky to have found this place! My husband, myself, our two teenage children and our shih tzu stayed in Donna and Jose's villa in the beginning of March. We travel every summer and winter and this was honestly one of the cleanest and well stocked rentals we've ever had the pleasure to visit. Donna and Jose were gracious hosts and the villa was a leisurely 3 minute walk to the beach. Book this place - you will not be disappointed!

Pleasant & Relaxing for All

This was the first time we took a vacation with the dog - our three year old Shih-poo. We found the people to be so nice - not only those who lived at Stones Throw - just in general on Hilton Head Island. So may loved dogs. How great was that!!!! The condo was very nice and very convenient to all. We walked down the block to the dog friendly beach and went the other way to Carrabba's Italian Grille - some really nice waiters there and good food. The hot apple crisp with vanilla ice cream dessert is "The Bomb." There is also miniature golf there if you don't play the real stuff. Also a short drive to the movies for a rainy day. Just a really nice vacation with stuff to do or not to do.

Thanksgiving

Just wanted to let you know that our stay was one of the best we have ever had on Hilton Head. This was the first time we ever took our Westie on vacation, and I don't know who had the best time,our dog Ebby or my wife and I. We found the Condo to be just as you described, just right for the three of us. It was really nice to have everything you need to cook, or just relax and eat out. The short walk to the beach was great. Letting Ebby run on the beach and meet all or the other dogs was the highlight of his trip. Again I would like to thank you for having such a nice place to stay and relax over the Holidays. We are looking forwards to possibly coming back next year. We stayed at the condo/townhouse the week of Aug. 7th, 2010. Although the photos and information are thorough we were pleasantly surprised by all the little touches that helped make us feel at home. The beds are comfortable and bathrooms clean and pretty. The kitchen has all the tools needed to relax and enjoy your vacation. The beach wagon helped make the walk to the beach a pleasant one. Our doggie Mikey was happy to head out each morning and Folly Field welcomed dogs until 10:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m. Thanks again for the use of the wonderful condo! We hope to come again! Great Stay at Stones Throw!!!

We had a great visit to HHI this year. The main reason was our great stay at Stones Throw. We had EVERYTHING we needed in the condo. It was cozy and decorated in great taste. This was the first time we did not have to carry our luggage up flights of stairs. We were able to just walk right from our car to the front door of the condo. Our dog had a great time!!. He loved to being included on this trip. It was very helpful to have the wagon to carry our beach stuff in. The Stones Throw community is very friendly and loved the private pool which was never crowded. The Lugos have a lovely place and we will definitely consider visiting their place again in the future. Our family really enjoyed our stay at this villa. It was nicely decorated and very clean. We enjoyed having a washer and dryer there, rather than in the building somewhere. The villa is in a quiet, wooded area that is very relaxing. The pool was never crowded and was very convenient to our villa. We would love to stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone!

My husband and I needed a vacation, and this condo was it! So close to the beach, and extremely clean! Bed was comfy and living area was nice! Our dogs came along with us, and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area. The beach was wonderful and the surrounding area was beautiful. Try going to the Fish Haul Park just down the street - great bird watching! See you next year, if not sooner!

I recently returned from vacationing in Hilton Head and we stayed in Donna's Villa. This was mine and my Chesapeake Bay retrievers 3rd trip to Hilton Head. It was my boyfriends 1st. We had a really fantastic stay at the villa. Donna made sure the villa was a home away from home and supplied just about everything we could ever think of to make our 7 night stay comfortable. The complex is completely pet friendly. Many people had dogs there and they supplied plastic bags outside to clean up after our pet. The beach was really close, walking distance and the beach allows dogs as well. Thank you again for a wonderful stay Donna and we will definitely stay at your villa when we return to Hilton Head. We had an awesome stay in this villa. Upon arrival, there was a "welcome" notebook with all information one needs for Stone Throw and HHI. All the comforts of home were seen to, also. Our 14 1/2 year old LOVED his bedroom...and the pool. We all enjoyed the short scenic walk to the beach. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Lugo for renting us your home. We will definately be back next year.

This was our 4th year staying in Hilton Head, and our first in this condo. We really enjoyed our stay. Our son announced it was the best place we've ever stayed. It gets the stamp of approval from the 12 year old! We love the lay-out, the bike trails, the beach, it's the best vacation spot for us.

Our stay here was perfect...townhouse perfectly located just a few minutes walk from a fabulous beach, and easy access to great restaurants, golf courses and shopping. We felt very much at home and comfortable in this very well equipped townhouse, stocked with everything we needed, even needle and thread. We were lucky to find this great, pet friendly, unit in the Folly Field area. A short walk to the beach (the beach had ramp access; a BIG plus, as out welsh corgi was confined to a wheel chair) The unit had plenty of linens and was well appointed. Bikes were available and there was a small tool kit in the closet. This is a unit we will definitely look for again should the occasion arise.

The villa was absolutely lovely! It was a short walk to the beach, beautifully appointed, and boasted friendly, quiet neighbors to boot. Donna thought of every convenience, from scented soaps to a beach wagon for dragging all the essentials to the beach. The kitchen is adorable, the furniture in the living room comfy, and the two-story layout great for families. We could not have had a better time. WE highly recommend this rental!

We had a wonderful experience at Stones Thrown. The complex was quite, attractive and situated in a perfect location, very close to the beach as well to restaurants and attractions.
