Claudia was very prompt and attentive in her communications and very easy to work with. The cabin was as advertised. The lighting is a little challenging and took a little getting use to. The setting and cabin were snug and comfortable. You are in the country and several miles from food or other town amenties so bring it along if you need it. Plenty of pots and pans and other kitchen utensils so cooking in is a great way to enjoy a morning before you go out exploring Vermont. Overall my wife and I enjoyed our stay and Claudia's hospitality very much. Set up to have pets with you and when we come next time we may bring along our little dog so she can enjoy the walks along the country roads around the cabin

We love this cabin !! It's rustic charm and peaceful setting bring us back year after year ! It's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy all that the Stowe area has to offer. The fact that it's dog friendly sealed the deal for us, and now our two Golden Retrievers blast out of the car and race to roll in the crunchy Autumn leaves !! Claudia is amazing !! She genuinely warm and welcoming, truly an insprational woman. The cabin has everything you need for your stay and it is spotlessly clean and organized. There are lots of books that beg to be held and two great rocking chairs on the front porch. The wood stove is perfect for chilly nights ! The Stowe and Morrisville area is ideal for us..we love the hiking, golfing and variety of restaurants ! If you are looking for a peaceful retreat with your dogs, this is surely the place for you !

found claudia's cabins here on VRBO, and they were a great find. we rented one of the 3 cabins on her property for 3 weeks this past august. they were on different parts of the grounds, so you could not see or hear any of the other cabins. when we arrived, claudia greeted us with some provisions for dinner in the fridge, as we had arrived late. and she greeted us the next morning with some fresh eggs from her chickens! claudia showed us around the 2BR/2BA cabin that i understand she built with her own hands. the cabin sits at the edge of a woods and has a nice front porch from which you can watch the hummingbirds that come every day. the place was rustic with a lot of natural local wood materials, but it was very comfortable. the cabins are conveniently located mid-way between downtown stowe and downtown morrisville, so it was very easy to drive a few miles either way to all of the nearby attractions. claudia was also very helpful, told us where we could get organic meat and vegetables and whatever else there was to do. if you stay, don't miss the weekend farmer's market in the summer and the nearby "Bee's Knees" restaurant. we are hoping to come back next summer.

The cabin was perfect and so dog friendly! Cabin is actually an understatement - it's like a home away from home. Very roomy with so much more than you'd have at a local B&B. And what can you say about Claudia - the best hostess we have ever experienced. Our two pups loved when she came around with hugs and rubs and treats. This was the best place we've ever stayed at while vacationing. Highly recommended for those of you who travel with your pets. There is a nice fenced in area for those dogs that can't be off leash, but for those that can they can roam freely. We will surely be back sooner than later!

My husband and I stayed in Claudia's cabin at the beginning of September and had a wonderful time. I've recommended it to everyone I know! It was an absolutely perfect place for my husband and I and our two dogs to stay. The cabin was so nice and rustic and was also very clean. The pantry was stocked and we were able to pick fresh vegetables from the garden, which was awesome. The dogs loved the fenced in yard and the surrounding open fields and just enjoyed hanging out with us. We enjoyed sitting outside on the porch, reading and just plain relaxing. The setting was idyllic and Claudia was soo incredibly kind and so very helpful, as well. The cabin is also only a 10 minute drive from downtown Stowe, which also has a lot to offer. We had such a great time, we can't wait to go back!!

My husband and I rented Claudia's Cabin for an entire week and we have only the nicest things to say about our stay. The property is beautiful, the cabin is warm and cozy, and it is the perfect size (We had 2 couples and our dog and could've slept 2 more comfortably). The cabin had everything we needed and more. The fenced in yard was great although after Claudia showed us around the property, we not only didn't need the fence, we didn't need a leash! The location was great but the best part of our experience was Claudia's hospitality. She made us feel welcome and at home. I would recommend Claudia's cabin to anyone, and I am looking forward to going back! There is no better place to stay in Stowe!

We had such a lovely time, the cabin had everything we needed, was quiet, clean, and was generously stocked with all sorts of yummy food. Great accessibility to all our favorite activities - hiking, snowboarding, and dog walking, Claudia was a gracious hostess and made us feel more than welcome, more like family. Highly recommend this location if you want to experience the real Vermont.

We've stayed at Claudia's Cabins several times now, and we always look forward to our next visit to Vermont. Her cabins are inviting and comfortable, exactly what we need to get away from it all, whether we bring the whole family or it's just the two of us. Claudia welcomes our family and our dogs as friends. We originally checked out Claudia's Cabins because we could bring the dog(s). We love the wood-burning stove to warm us up when we visit in winter or a swing in the hammock on the porch in summer. Actually, we've visited during every season, and anytime is the right time. We go to hike at Smuggler's Notch, ski, relax in the cabin, and just spend time together with our kids. There are dozens of restaurants in Stowe when we want to go out, and none of them disappoint, but Claudia recommended the Bees Knees this summer and it was a delicious meal and a fun time. You can go for some Vermont cheddar, some maple syrup but don't forget a maple cremee. Yum. I only have the choices above to rate my visit to Claudia's, but if Heavenly was a choice, I'd pick it.

This is the cabin to stay in if you're visiting Vermont. The location is great - a 10-minute drive to Stowe but far enough out that you have lots of privacy and room to enjoy the scenery. The cabin is so comfortable (and we had five adults) and has everything you need. The sauna is great after a day on the slopes. Claudia is a great hostess and is dedicated to making sure you enjoy your stay. The only downsides to staying here is that you'll wish you're vacation was longer and you have to figure out how to get back as soon as you can.

My husband, daughter and my 2 Berners stayed at Claudia's cabin for 4 days and what a beauitful place to stay. Starting with the very friendly emails and phone calls, I felt that I have known Claudia all my life! We arrived late at nite to a beauitifully lite cabin so nice and warm with the wood stove burning. She even had food in the fridge so that we could have a bite to eat since we were arriving so late. The cabin is so warm and friendly and felt like my own home. The fenced in back yard was really a nice added feature and Koda and Kenai loved the snow. Everything about our visit was just perfect and Claudia is the nicest person could ever meet. Thank for so much Claudia for such a nice relaxing get away for me and my family. We always come up to Stowe every winter for a week get away, and I will never have to search again for the most perfect place to stay as I have found it here with you...and my berner boys are welcome too! Thank you again for everything! See you soon. The Noniewicz Family (Paul, Jackie, Lindsey, Koda and Kenai)

We wanted a pet friendly place to stay when we took our son skiing for his birthday. We certainly hit the jackpot!!! Claudia is so terrific and her cabin could not be more welcoming (as is she) and comfortable. Pet friendly doesn't even come close!!! Rufus, our pug, discovered the joys of running free through the snowy woods and I discovered the fun of snowshoeing!!! Even our snowboarding son was slow to leave the cabin for the mountain!! My only complaint is that we weren't able to stay a lot longer!! Such a cozy, serene, relaxing place, so nice to come home to after a long day on the slopes! We will definitely be back again - I'm already planning the next time!!! Thanks so much, Claudia! Joyce, David, Adam and, most importantly, Rufus

My girlfriend and I and another couple stayed up in vermont at claudia's cabin last winter and all I can say up until now is how much we keep talking about how we're dying to go back. It was so beautiful, cozy, romantic, and "so vermont" as claudia stated. The cabin is perfectly tucked into the woods and when it snowed it was just amazing. The fireplace is so warm, the cabin has everything you need and the beds so comfortable, we just didnt wanna leave. And last but not least, Claudia is such an amazing and sweet person to meet and stay with that we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in vermont on future trips. Thank you for everything. Much Love, Raja & Stephanie

We have had the great pleasure of staying in the cabin twice over the last few months. The location is secluded, yet close to everything. Claudia is a joy as well as a wealth of information! Her restaurant suggestions were all great hits with our diverse crew. Guinness loves the place almost as much as we do! WE can't wait to head back this winter.

Thanks again so much for your warm hospitality Claudia, we loved the "green" cabin and the entire property, it's a little slice of emerald-colored paradise tucked in there in the mountainside. From watching the kids and dog run through the meadow out back and chilling around the place to using the cabin as a starting point for all our summertime VT daytrips, we had an ideal time. Hope to see you again soon, maybe if we can sneak a weekend during ski season! -The Hineses of Brighton Mass.

My three children, our dog and I spent Memorial Day weekend in Claudia's older cabin. It was amazing! We had such a wonderful time on our first visit to Stowe. Claudia was so welcoming and the cabin was private and had so much character. She made us feel as though we had arrived at our own family cabin! It was a quick drive into town and Burlington was just about half an hour. We will definately be back in Fall/Winter.

Well, we have never yet stayed in Cladias Cabin, although we have heard great things about it and read the many positive reviews on this site. We look forward to renting it for a long weekend in October 2007, and also look forward to all of the accomodations and amenities that await us.

We stayed in Claudia's cabin, Jan 20-27, 2007. It was our first visit to Stowe and Claudia made it a family trip that was magical. Her encouraging e-mails prior to our visit, the warm cabin with a fire the night we arrived when she waved from the window and came out to give us welcoming hugs, to the delivery of Ben and Jerry's ice cream on the final night from her and Rik when it was below zero was a true gift of her generosity and love. We felt like family and the week was a great time of skiing and renewal. We will return for sure in the future. Many thanks to Claudia and Rik!!

What a beautiful place this was and perfect timing! With the 3 to 4 feet of snow that had fallen a few days before, it was like a winter wonderland! Claudia had the cabin all nice and warm and the refridgerator stocked too! We enjoyed cooking on the wood stove and sitting on the porch enjoying some wine. The dogs loved romping in the snow, too. Claudia goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is a pleasant one and the fact that we can bring our dogs with a fenced in backyard is an added bonus. Thank you so much, Claudia. We hope to see you again in the summer!

Christmas in the cabin was wonderful. Claudia had everything ready for us. The cabin was warm and toasty, food in the fridge, Christmas lights and even a tree with presents. If she could have only produced snow............... Never the less, the long weekend outstanding. I loved the claw foot tub to soak in. The dogs loved the animal friendly enviroment. My two year old did not want to go to sleep he was having so much fun. My husband and I stayed up late watching movies and resting by the wood stove. Santa even found us! I would most definetly recommend Claudia's cabins. We stayed in the older one, but peeked in the windows of the unoccupied newer one. Both are nice and spacious with all modern convienences. We can't wait to return.

Claudia's cabin is the dreamiest place in the world. We (4 adults and the 2 tots) had simply the best time on our weekend vacation there. Claudia is the nicest person, and she really goes well out of her way to make you feel at home. Claudia, you are the true host. Thanks for everything.

This quintessential log cabin is so cozy! The wood stove heats the whole place and smells wonderful! Claudia is a great hostess, the place was immaculate. She even bought milk, oj, eggs and bread for us! Everything was way beyond our expectations! The dogs loved the area and the freedom of running around without a leash! We will definitely be back!

Despite a few rainy days during my 8 day stay to see Vermont's glorious fall foliage, absolutely nothing could dampen the good vibes of this cabin. It is hard to put into words, but I immediately felt a connection with this older cabin from the moment I opened the front door. It was a perfect match for me and my three Jack Russells. Although I have stayed in Claudia's newer cabin and loved it, this older cabin has completely won my heart and will definitely be my top choice in future visits! And yes, I am already thinking of my next retreat to this wonderful place. Finding Claudia's rental properties has been a dream come true for me because I can finally go on vacation and have my pets with me, safe and sound! The cabin is a gem but the real treasure here is Claudia who has a true gift for understanding people who love their pets!

Claudia, Thank you soooo much for your warm hospitality. You are truly a wonderful hostess and you have now gained faithful and forever renters and friends!! Your cabin was warm and inviting, and the fact that you had some food already in the fridge made it truly seem like you welcomed us with open arms. We also appreciate how welcome you made the dogs feel, they were very happy and content labradors, and extremely happy about the fenced in back yard and the big meadow and stream they got to play in all weekend. We are looking forward to our next visit already!! Thanks again for everything. See you in October. and NO...YOU ROCK MORE!!!! Ü
