Relax in the Asian bathroom spa equipped with a fireplace, sauna, two-person Japanese soaking tub and glass brick shower. Wake up in the morning and wander into your private meditation garden for coffee - sit in nature listening to the sounds of the ocean and the birds. Or sip coffee on the deck listening to the waves and looking at the ocean.
When you are feeling more energetic walk 200 feet to a beautiful, wide, sandy beach that goes on for miles. Enjoy the master craftsman woodwork and Zen-style influences throughout this beautiful home. Includes Internet access (wireless and ethernet)for those who must be web enabled - and Cable TVs and CD/DVD player for your inside entertainment needs.
The second bedroom is a sleeping loft above the detached garage - great separation of space for older children or another couple. It has a sink, refigerator, TV/Cable, a small futon, and a double bed. The bathroom for this is downstairs in the garage. A deck connects the master bedroom and the second bedroom. (Cleaning fee is reduced if you don't need/use this room)

Rate Details (In US Dollars)
Summer Rates (June-Aug): $199/night or $1350/week (2-3 night minimum)
Rates Sep-May: $149/night or $899/week - the third night is free except
during holidays and other high-usage times. Two night minimum.
$250 refundable security deposit via check due before arrival
Pets require additional deposit and cleaning fee.
8% for taxes and fees + $65 cleaning fee per visit - $50 if loft is not used
Deposits: 1/2 due upon reservation; remainder due 30 days prior to arrival

Why the Owner Chose Yachats
This house is so unique - the design, craftsmanship and feel of the place immediately drew me to it. I also knew the owners because they also owned businesses in Yachats that I had been to and enjoyed. Ocean beaches have always been special to me - and Yachats is my favorite place on the Oregon Coast - and it's only 2 hours from Eugene where I live. So when this came up for sale - I snatched it up.
Everyone that stays here recognizes the special qualities of the Zen Beach Retreat House - usually guests feel very relaxed and excited at the same time to be in such an unusual, high quality home - without the high price.

What luck to find this on the Internet. We love the Zen Beach House. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are lovely. I can't stop admiring the window over the kitchen sink. We enjoyed the tub every night and will miss it when we leave tomorrow. We did not venture far away - walked on the beach, reading, knitting, meditating and photo shopping. All needs are met. Thank you.

Well - What a wonderful surprise to walk through the door and find such a perfectly appointed West-East place to retreat. Being from the Big Island of Hawaii I have a tendency to believe that all venues will pale in comparison. How great to be proved wrong.

Spent four great nights here on a 'arts/music/meditation' retreat. Brought my keyboard for composing, Soraya brought her camera and watercolors. Between extended morning and evening meditation sessions, we worked on our art and music and got out for some nice hikes. Major chill out from my life as a high-school teacher (spring break).

The house becomes home so effortlessly. We love the many beautiful touches and the easy comfort. Outside angry storms gave way to sunshine and a great orange sunset. Yachats has long been our favorite place on the Oregon Coast and the quiet retreat this house provides makes it even more special. We hope to return. We are Happy & Deeply Grateful!!!! Married on Neptune Beach where the sun came out from a goggy coast. Wedding dinner at the Waterfront Depot in Florence. Wedding eve sauna and soak, wedding night sweet Suite and glorious bedroom loft...honeymoon, Japanes alters everywhere, peaceful garden and way cool we could bring our adored Standard Poodle with us. Thank you for making this home so beautiful (the website doesn't reflect how special this house is- 10x better in person we think.
