Location: Grand Marais, Minnesota, USA (Airport option: Duluth International Airport)
Accommodations: Lakeshore Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath (Sleeps 6)
Come enjoy this wonderful lakeshore cottage up the Gunflint Trail from Grand Marias. Our cottage is located on beautiful Loon Lake adjacent to the BWCA. Loon Lake is known for BIG fish, the question is whether or not you can catch them! You will have your own private dock for swimming, fishing and watching sunsets. There is a canoe provided so you can explore the lake. We can arrange motorized fishing boat rental or bring your own boat to the launch just down the road from the cottage
Take advantage of direct access to the Boundary Waters Canoe and Wilderness Area (BWCA) from our cottage. The BWCA is one of North America's largest wilderness areas with over one thousand lakes and streams within its boundaries.
When you're done playing outside, come inside to relax and get comfortable in your private, classic knotty pine cottage. We have two bedrooms and a newly remodeled bathroom. One bedroom is furnished with a pillow top queen sized bed and the other bedroom has a double bed and pine bunkbeds. Our living space allows you to continue to enjoy the lakeview from our large picture window.
We feel confident you will enjoy your stay and exploring the area. Don't forget to get your camera ready for the moose and other wildlife often seen on the drive up to our cottage on the Gunflint Trail.

"Spent a long weekend here with 2 boys 7&10 and a 3 ½ year old girl….did not know what to expect. It turned out great! Fishing was a blast 4 walleye 20-26 inches and a nice northern 35-36 inches plus smallmouth bass. We will be back" The walkers, Rhinlander,WI

"Thanks for sharing this amazing place. We spent a short week here with our 2 children, we had a blast. The kids caught fish(all small, but fun for them) One morning we watched a mother moose and her calf from the dock. It is truly a special place here. We made many memories that we will cherish for a long time to come."

"Three of us went on a BWCA trip four years ago together and loved the canoeing and hiking but wished for showers and beds. This cottage was the best of both worlds! We canoed into Canada via Gunflint Lake, hike all over the area including eagle mountain and took in the night sky with more stars than you can ever see in Minneapolis, thanks for the charming place to get away from the city and appreciate God’s creation” Becky,Candi,Pam&Gwen Minneapolis,MN

"What a magical place! We knew it the minute we walked in…….we canoed everyday, slept like babies and fell completely in love with Loon lake. Thanks for offering such a cozy, peaceful bit of comfort for our days of exploration. We will all cherish some wonderful memories" Simmert family Minnesota

"This is a great place to stay, it felt like being at a friends cabin-very cozy pleasant. We loved the glorious sunsets on the lake, the inquisitive chipmunks, the brilliant stars, the warm days and cool nights. For two city girls we couldn’t have asked for a better north woods cabin"

"This is exactly what we were looking for. Secluded quite and on a lake, but not camping. Your place provides views of nature at its finest. We saw a huge bull moose and a bear.Awesome! Incredible night sky. We’ll be coming back for more, next time I’ll bring my fishing pole." Ty&Ericka Minnesota
