Year Purchased: 2002
As travellers ourselves, we understand the benefit of having space to relax and visit with family and friends. We first shared our house in 2002, shortly after we had moved in. We were going to be travelling for 6 weeks and it didn't seem right to leave the house empty. Later that summer, we held our wedding reception at the house and personally enjoyed the advatages of having the open layout and private backyard. When we travel, we continue to share this property with visitors to the Calgary area. We have come to appreciate its size and location; as I'm sure you and your family will, too.
Why the Owner Chose Calgary
We enjoy theatre in the downtown, golf overlooking the city core, tennis in the summer and skating in the winter, as well as hiking - all within minutes of our house. It is centrally located and offers easy access to transit and many major attractions within the city, as well as direct access to the gorgeous Rocky Mountians. It is located 5 minutes from 2 public golf courses/driving ranges; walking distance to the community recreational facilities and tennis courts; and only blocks from three playgrounds.
The Unique Benefits of this House
This property has an open floor layout on the main floor, yet offers significant privacy in the bedrooms. The back yard is surrounded by trees and creates a comfortable space both during the day and into the night. The property seems to come alive when family and friends join together in celebration - from showers and weddings to reunions and sporting events.
