Magnificent, tastefully renovated farm house for rent, 4 bedrooms, with pool. Sleeps eight.
The house is set in a small hamlet between the villages of Gordes and Roussillon, in the heart of some of the most beautiful countryside in the Luberon. The hamlet of "Les Yves" is surrounded by cherry orchards and vineyards, and is overlooked by the hilltop village of Roussillon. The villages are close at hand but Les Yves feels far removed from the bustle of the tourist spots.
Shade yourself from the hot sun under the traditional "platane" tree on the cobbled courtyard. Go for a swim in the stone swimming pool. Cook outside in the shaded "cuisine d'été". Or let the cool colours of the interior sooth your eyes.
Two of the four bedrooms have double beds. The others have two single beds each, to sleep a total of eight people. All rooms have been recently redecorated to a high standard.
There's a very large fully equipped kitchen, with an archway giving on to the living room. If you're visiting in the colder months an open fire gives good cheer.
The living room comes equipped with large TV, DVD player and stereo, and a good collection on CDs. |
