Lake Michigan Beachfront, Spectacular Sunsets!
4/5

They've thought of everything!

Of course, the best part of this cottage rental is the view! Whether eating breakfast looking out over the low bluff from the dining table or lounging on the beachside deck watching the spectacular Lake Michigan sunset, the view's the best. Second best, though, is how well supplied the cottage is. Truly, the owners have thought of just about everything: kitchen utensils, games, linens, plus sound electronics throughout. We really appreciated the iPod docking station. The cottage is clean, functional and well maintained. We enjoyed the Audubon walks and biking in the area. The Blue Slipper restaurant just north offers exceptional Italian food. Shops in Manistee provide good diversion if the weather fades. The Visitor's Station in Manistee offers excellent help with the area. We recommend the house walk through the historic district. Indeed, the owners have a file of many, many opportunities in the area. We would recommend this property for families or couples with this caveat: The cottages in this area are a bit tight, and having a big or noisy group on either side would likely have changed our opinion. For our week, though, the neighbors were easy to "live with." It would be a great place for groups of families who enjoy vacationing together to rent among these cottages. We did note that the exit directions were unclear as far as what was expected with linens etc. We assumed as we've done in other rentals upon vacating. Overall, this is a good choice as a vacation rental.
