Nice area, disappointing problems

On the Plus side- Turtle Bay is a pleasant, clean, quiet area on the North Shore. The condo unit is in one of the older buildings, but clean. Parking is close and entry and exit easy. The building was quiet, no problem with noisy neighbors, etc. On the Minus side- Arriving late Friday night, we had plumbing problems with the units only toilet. Condo Management was prompt at sending someone out, it was the weekend and only untrained help with no tools was sent. Even after the weekend, only untrained help was available though with only slightly more equipment (like a plumbing snake). Apparently the real plumber was on holidays and the problems persisted through our entire stay! Hopefully management has resolved the problem. We found the bed too firm, but that's a matter of taste. Though not a big distraction, the unit is quite close to the Kamehameha highway so you do get some highway noise. Fortunately the highway is usually quiet at night. I'm not sure if it's a regular occurence, but in the trees outside the condo everynight there was a Myna bird convention! They were loud from dusk until dawn! Some would call it close to nature. Some would call it sleep disruption!

Owner response: We installed a new toilet after their stay. we have talked to our management company about the need to be proactive when there is a problem such as the plumbing problem. We are very proactive when we are made of a problem. we apologize for their inconvenience.

We had a wonderful stay on the north shore. Although we knew very little about surfing before our arrival, your selection of DVDs (most filmed nearby) helped us to get right into it and more fully appreciate the skill of the competitors at the nearby surf competitions. Also loved all the movies filmed at the Turtle Bay resort. Great visits to the shrimp stands, Polynesian village, saw a sea turtle, loved the golf course ... Only complaint was not enough time - I could have stayed a month. Thanks so much!

We had our little ones with us, and this condo had everything to help make our trip easier and convenient. I would definately recommend this condo to all my friends and family.

I just hope that they keep the country how it is and don't let some politician and or developers come in and try to change this piece of serene property.

The location was convenient, it was clean, well appointed and there were no surprizes. It was everything we expected it to be and served as apleasant starting point for our vacation. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good value on Oahu's north shore.

We really enjoyed our stay, everything we needed was there with some extra stuff too(golf clubs,mats and umbrella for the beach, boogie boards, maps, menus, ethernet connection) the management should have a sunday number. we highly recommend this condo if you want to stay on the north shore for a reseanable price.

We had not visited the NW side of Oahu in 30 years way back in 1946. We were so pleased to be able to rent your fine condo. This was a great way to end our vacation.Jean and I thank you for the use of your North Shore condo, surrounded by lovely greenery. Your home-away-from –home is very comfortable, and we had a very good time.The Turtle Bay hotel complex and area are delightful, and we had a breakfast and two dinners on the beach. Another breakfast was at the golf course restaurant.

We have just returned from our vacation in Hawaii last night at 11:00pm. We'd like to thank you very much for renting your condo to us. Your condo had all the conveniences of home and it was very, very cozy. Overall, your condo is just wonderful...the location, the pools, the BBQ (we had two days of barbecueing), and Ted's Bakery (we got to see the actor John from "Lost" there). My sister, 2 cousins, and a friend rented condos on the west side and compared to theirs your condo was very homely, cozy, comfortable, relaxing, inviting, and we'll surely recommend your unit to anyone who's going to Hawaii.
