Moon River, a Sea Ranch style, 1965, 3 bedroom 2 bath house, is an enchanting 1800 square foot, redwood and Douglas fir house on a bend on the Russian River.
The hot tub on the deck has the very best panoramic views of the river. In the evening it sparkles in the light of the Japanese lanterns. The stainless propane BBQ is large enough to cook a turkey, not to mention a whole salmon...or...this year, perhaps a chunk of halibut!
And the river is at your feet. Moon River is on a short, quiet little lane on the less-well-traveled side of the river about a mile and a half from downtown Guerneville.
It is a nature paradise! There is always something beautiful to look at: Great blue herons, Egrets, Ospreys, White swans, Cormorants, ducks, and even the rare river otters can be seen fishing and playing in the water in front of Moon River. Bring your binoculars!
The riverbank has native Russian River plants, trees, shrubs, flowers and grapevines, which will turn beautiful colors in the fall.
All three of Moon River's bedrooms have new, plush carpeting, and each has a comfortable queen-sized bed. There are art deco throw rugs, high-quality (and washable) linens, antique Japanese furniture and cool 60s lamps.
At night, the great room glows due to wall sconces, which cast light up and down. There is control in the mood you want to create, thanks to sophisticated wiring, and many three-way switches.
We offer two canoes and a single river kayak, available for your enjoyment when the summer dams are in (June through September).
