House was just as described. We are so glad we did this instead of hotel. David and France the owners are very nice people, an absolute pleasure to deal with. We were visiting relatives and friends in the Queens area, and this house was very convenient and comfortable for our stay. Supermarket, Chinese take out, Pizza, Laundromatt, closeby. Ample parking on street in front of house. Computer use, telephone use, David and France left eggs, milk and bread in refridgerator to make us feel right at home. Very comfortable bed, and thank goodness air conditioning was strong, as it was very hot in NY during the time we were there. We will definately want to stay here again. My relatives were coming to New York for a family event,and I needed a place that could fit 8 people comfortably and be affordable. This house does just that! The house itself was clean and quiet and in a safe neighborhood. The fully equipped kitchen made it possible to eat a proper breakfast and cook whenever necessary. The grocery store was a 5 minute walk from the house. We took the express bus from the house right to Manhattan which was easy and convenient. The hosts were very helpful and accomodating. We liked this house because the pictures of the house on the website are exactly how the house looks. Coming from Scandinavia we have a high standard of hygiene and this house was extremely clean, which was a big relief because you never know what you’re going to get. It was our first trip to Manhattan and we were travelling with kids so we worried about getting around but the express bus is only a block from the house so it was easy. The house was also quite spacious so at the end of a big day of sightseeing, we felt like we could relax. The house is quiet at night and the beds are very comfortable. Ein sauberes Haus mit 3 Schlafzimmern, ein Bad und ein Gäste WC. Von Ausstattung her entspricht das Haus wahrscheinlich ca. 2 Sternen nach deutschem Standard. Lebensmittelläden sind zu Fuss zu erreichen. Das Haus ist direkt neben einer sehr befahrenen Stadtautobahn. Nachts hatten wir die Fenster zu und die Klimaanlage an. Küche ist gut ausgestattet und es gibt einen großen Esstisch. Das Haus hat keinen Garten. Die Schlafzimmer haben Doppelbetten, 2 sind ca. 140 cm breit sind und 1 etwas breiter. Im Wohnzimmer gibt es genügend Sitzgelegenheiten und einen großen Flachbildfernseher. Es stand ein PC mit Drucker zur Verfügung. WLAN gab es auch. NYC Subway ist ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuss zu erreichen. Halt ist Briarwood – Van Wyck (Linien E und F). Man kann auch mit dem Bus zum Subway-Haltestelle fahren. Bushaltestelle ist ca. 200m vom Haus entfernt. Man ist in ca. 30 bis 45 Minuten in Manhattan. Die Vermieter sind sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich und entgegenkommend. Sie bemühen sich sehr, dass man sich willkommen fühlt und eine schönen Urlaub hat.Did you find this review helpful?
