Edinburgh Villa is a unique offering! Stay in a 4 bedroom Victorian house with enclosed gardens and English Conservatory in Edinburgh City Center. Prestigious area of Edinburgh called Murrayfield at the foot of historical Corstorphine Hill and surrounded by sites North, South, East & West!
Walking distance to the zoo, shops, formal parks, and 10 minutes by bus route will drop you off right on the Royal Mile. Perfect size of accommodation for those requiring a bit more space than a flat/apartment and modern living in a lovely, comfortable, Victorian Scottish house with period detail throughout. Parking here isn't a problem either.
A conservatory with comfy wicker furniture leads from the kitchen and offers a wonderful area to sit, eat crumpets and plan your day!
We are also located opposite a 18 hole golf course open to visitors and with golf club rentals.
The house retains many period features, including decorative fireplaces, mosaic tile foyer, iron scrollwork and more.

On the ground floor there is:

Conservatory which is a peaceful retreat and overlooks the walled garden.

Upstairs there is the large master bedroom with an ensuite shower room, a further double bedroom and two single bedrooms. All bedrooms have wardrobes. There is also the second full bathroom with bath.. and heated towel rail! There is a pull out bed which sleeps a 7th person (suitable for a child only). This is an additional 50GBP per week. Please note the house sleeps a maximum of 6 adults.
Exterior: The house has a wonderful fully enclosed back garden with old roses, lupins, heathers, hebes, sweat pea and even apples and berries in summer. There is also a small lawn and a very unusual patio area made with Edinburgh cobblestones. Plenty of parking spaces!
There is a swingball set for the children. The front garden is also gated.
We are located in Edinburgh City Centre. Driving in the Princes Street/castle area is not recommended due to little to no parking. The best method of visiting these attractions is by using the highly efficient Edinburgh bus service. A main bus stop is a 2 minute walk from the house and double decker buses frequent the stop every few minutes during the day, and frequently during the night. The bus trip is only 15 minutes to the castle and drives you past historic monuments and buildings.
Within a 5 minute walk is an 18 hole golf course, there are 2 other golf courses less than 1.5 miles away. The Edinburgh zoo is only 0.7 miles, a co-op grocery store (five mins) and a library (10 mins). A large park on over 47 manicured acres with wonderful formal gardens and topiarys, specimen trees, an Italian garden, and a glassed winter garden with exotic plants is just 15 minutes walk, perfect for picnics! There is also a child's creative play area and open land for ball games etc. Asda supermarket is five minutes by car.
The International Airport is an easy 10-15 minute drive.
Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The city centre which boasts it's landmark castle high on a volcanic rock is surrounded by parks and offers many other sites to see and things to do. The castle overlooks 2 busy streets, the cobbled 'Royal Mile' running from the castle to the Palace of Holyrood house and home to old cathedrals, ecletic shops, eateries, pubs and historical attractions. The worlds famous Princes street is Edinburghs busiest high street with shops including Marks & Spencers, Boots, Jenners department store, Barbour, HMV and much more.

Deposit: A deposit of 30% is required when booking your vacation. The remaining rental balance and security deposit will be required 8 weeks prior to check-in. Reservations made 8 weeks or less prior to check in require full payment. Payment can be made by cheque, bank transfer or credit card via Paypal in GBP (there is a slight additional charge for Paypal). Guests who fail to pay their final rental by the due date may lose their booking and their deposit.

An additional security/damage deposit of 150GBP is required and will be fully refunded providing there are no damages. The party leader agrees to accept full liability for all loss or damage caused by any member of their group during the occupation of the house.

100% of deposit refunded if cancelled at least 12 weeks prior to check-in. 50% of deposit refunded if reservation cancelled at least 8 weeks prior to check-in. No deposit refunds for 8 weeks or less.
