Our well-appointed home, walking distance to the Kirkwood Ski Area and year-round resort, offers spectacular views of Red Cliffs and the High Sierra. Well-suited for both the avid outdoorsman and the committed couch potato, our house has a large central living area, a dining room table that seats ten, and great indoor/outdoor flow.
WORLD-CLASS HIKING and MTN BIKING abound in the area near Silver, Kirkwood and Caples Lakes. Kayakers, anglers and boaters have access to miles of shoreline. Lake Margaret, Woods, Winnemucca and Shealor Lakes are accessible to any hiker, age 6 to 86.
WORLD-CLASS SKIING awaits at Kirkwood, just 1/2 mile walk or shuttle ride down the approach road. Cross country enthusiasts and snowboarders will find the right terrain as this ski area gets the most snow in the lower 48 states!!
Perfect for a ski vacation, romantic getaway, family reunion, or retreat, our cabin has something for everyone. The house is equipped with all the comforts of home for those who want to read a book or spend the day at the spa, while others tackle the great outdoors. Access to the Homeowners Association amenities are available - pool, weight room, hot tub, showers. There are tennis courts and a delightful playground as well as a general store.
Our four-season home at high altitude offers modern convenience in a comfortable atmosphere. No berber carpet or granite countertops here. You will find a setting from which you can enjoy one of nature's coolest playgrounds, the High Sierra. Play Scrabble, do puzzles, watch movies, or admire waterfalls and birds from the deck. Relax in your own style, while others hike, bike, ski, or play in the snow. We can orient your party to pristine wilderness with ample maps and field guides. We are base camp for Sierra Club snowcampers, Pacific Crest and Tahoe Rim Trail hikers, annual Wildflower lovers, Death Ride participants and onlookers, as well as home to vacationers who seek affordable powder skiing and peace near a resort. Our family rented this cabin the week of New Years and we had the BEST time. The cabin was spacious, clean and in the perfect location. The owners were extremely accomidating and hospitable. We would love to rent it again. It was the perfect family vacation!
