  We took the in-laws for a 4-day weekend this April. I'd been to Cumberland before to visit relatives, but had never stayed in a rental unit. I was happy to see that it wasn't located way down some unmarked country road that we couldn't even find. It was overlooking the lake at the east end near the bridge to Bronston. Easy to get the boat to, though it had to be backed into the driveway. The bedrooms were much bigger than I had imagined. 4 Separate rooms each with double or queen beds. Lots of windows. 2 full baths with tubs and showers and VERY CLEAN! Sitting areas on both floors. But my favorite feature was the upper deck in the back. Nice view, no problem with mosquitos, and a roof so you can sit out even if it rains (which it did, but just a little). Close to town and attractions. An overall great place for a weekend away with the family or several couples interested in watersports. The lake is just gorgeous and great for fishing, kayaking, or skiing. And you can't beat the price.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  We enjoyed our stay. This house is clean and cozy. It is situated away from the street and it is very quiet. The living room downstairs and the sitting area upstairs provide two separate entertaining areas. We are pleased to find out the owner has provided a lot of things for our convenience. It has almost everything you need for cooking a nice away from home meal. They even have the insect repellent spray by the back door for guests to use. We could tell the owners are thoughtful people. The wireless internet connection is pretty good. The gazebo with a picnic table sits by the lake. The fire pit is close to the gazebo. The owner has a large box of picnic table covers and other things above the washer and dryer. We sat in the gazebo while watching the Fourth of July firework popping up here and there in the distance. It was an enjoyable experience.

  We had a fantastic stay at this house. I would recommend and look forward to staying here again. The place was very clean, easy to find and very well priced. It feels very home-like. The cabinets have coffee filters, there's laundry soap, etc. The rooms were clean and good sizes. The location is pretty close to everything there. I was able to back my boat into the driveway, but there isn't a boat turnaround on the road. The backyard is great. Thanks for an awesome stay.

  We just finished our Memorial weekend stay at this great cottage on the lake. It's truly a great value for the money. The house is maintained very well, and was much larger than we thought it was based on the pictures. The backyard is a great space for the kids to run around, and the view from the gazebo is the perfect addition to any outdoor meal. We also loved roasting marshmallows at the fire pit overlooking the lake. Our family trip included 7 adults and 2 small children and we all fit in the house nicely. There are essentially two living rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs which made it great for one group to watch movies in one room while the rest played cards in the other. If you're looking for luxury, there are other rentals that would suit you better . But if you're looking for a great place to take the family and enjoy a comfortable and clean place to hang out and enjoy the lake, I would highly recommend renting from Sunnie and her husband. They made us feel like family rather than random renters. We're already looking forward to our next stay.
