Celtic Mist is a lovely modern home with the type of mountain view everyone clamors for. This unique getaway features a large open floor plan on the main level, with floor-to-cathedral ceiling windows to enjoy the spectacular view from throughout this level. The quality furnishings and convenient location lend themselves to a wonderful vacation any time of year. Best of all, you are less than one mile from fishing, swimming and hiking at the Watauga River and celebrated Hebron Falls.
The living room is large and spacious and adjoins the kitchen and dining room to make a great family gathering place to enjoy the view, relax and unwind together, or just mill around on the deck. There is a stone-faced gas fireplace for warmth and atmosphere and comfortable leather furniture to kick back on. The highlight of this home is the tremendous wall of large open windows to enjoy the view in any weather, any season. The deck on this level, conveniently located just off the kitchen, offers outdoor dining and another great vantage point to take in your mountain surroundings.
The master bedroom, with queen bed and bathroom with whirlpool tub, is conveniently located on the main level. Upstairs you will find two more bedrooms, each with queen bed and quality furnishings and linens, as well as a second full bath. All of these are the perfect retreat for a relaxing night’s rest.
The lower level has a large family room, complete with regulation pool table and large-screen television. Additional sleeping is available on this floor with a queen sleeper and set of twin bunk beds. After a full day of skiing, golf or some of the area’s wonderful shopping, step outside and wind down with a relaxing soak in the hot tub while taking in the fantastic view from yet another area of this home.
This house is near all tourist sites and outdoor activities, conveniently located just minutes from town and ASU in an upscale neighborhood while still affording end-of-road privacy. You will enjoy this lovely retreat with your family or friends. Its central location makes it the perfect launching point for all of your High Country adventures!
Celtic Mist has paved access for all but the last mile – 4WD is necessary in winter.
For larger groups, consider renting this cabin with nearby Falls Creek Lodge or Wounded Fork.
Please remember 4WD or chains are always recommended when visiting the mountains in winter.

I was so burned out from running a one woman show - I am the head of a very small school in Tequesta, FL and have to do everything, from broken pipes to broken arms. I needed solitude and a place to find myself again. I spent the most wonderful time with my husband and we celebrated our 37th Wedding Anniversary on Dec 31st. It was bitterly cold, not at all like ir was when we got married 37 years ago! We are South Africans, now living in Florida. We arrived in the USA in 1991 and are now proud Americans. This wonderful place and the trust you put into strangers, reinforces our discussion to move to this great country! If the beach was here this would truely be heaven on earth! Thank you, thank you!

This will be a Christmas we will remember for years to come. All of our family was able to come to the mountains and be together for an "Old Fashion Christmas"! We decorated the ficus tree and lit the ourside to show Santa the way to our granddaughter. Santa ate his cookies and left her some wonderful gifts! St. Luke's Episcopal Church was great!
