Truly THE best cabin rental experience we have ever had. My girlfiend and I decided to stay this December for a long weekend and unbenounced to my girlfriend I planned on asking her to marry me this same weekend. As you can imagine I was looking for something very special. After a ton of research on-line w/ various places I selected this property. I can't speak enough of the charm of this property as it was spectacular and even more importantly the owner Linda (and her property mngr Jason) made our stay something we will never forget (they went above and beyond in setting the cabin up as one of the most romantic settings I could have asked for). The cabin is perfectly located close to the lifts within walking distance (on the Nevada side), the amenities inside are fantastic (five star hotel quality), & the jacuzzi out on the balcony was perfection after a long day on the slopes. In addition, Linda offered up some excellent restaurant ideas for our weekend and we couldn't have been happier with the entire stay in the "tree house" cabin. I just can't say enough about the cabin as we are so very grateful that we stayed here. We have told all of our friends about the cabin and plan on coming back again with another couple to stay for another long weekend. I would recommend this cabin to anyone! P.S. Best part of our vacation

We stayed at the condo at the end of our 5 week vacation from Australia. We could have stayed here for the whole 5 weeks as it was fantastic. We decided to get married at the lakeside chapel and the stay at the beautiful condo topped it off. Our two young children loved the feel of the wood cabin interior and got to enjoy the snow. The scenery was breathtaking and the condo location was excellent. It was our home away from home and we were sad to leave. Linda was fantastic from start to finish. I was reluctant to transfer money sight unseen but rest assured, there are no worries. We had a problem with the jacuzzi temperature and it was fixed the same day. The handyman Jason was very friendly and trustworthy. We have no hesitation recommending the tree house at Stateline as a vacation rental and we are already planning our next stay there. Thanks Linda for a wonderful stay.

The Best Place for a Romantic Tahoe Getaway!

My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous week in this beautiful condo! It is every bit as wonderful as it says in the listing and shows in the pictures! There is not one thing I would change in this charming condo. As for the owner, Linda, she is the best! She is so thoughtful and easy to work with. She is very quick to return phone calls or messages and does everything she can to make sure your experience and vacation is amazing. I highly recommend this condo for your next vacation!!! You can't go wrong when you are working with Linda!!!

The best vacations are all about memorable places and experiences. Our stay at Linda's place gave us some great memories. Watching the evening light fade over the Carson Valley far below. Waking in that super-soft bed as the warm light of dawn flooded in, then sitting in the hot tub as the sun rose over the Pine Nut Mountains in the east. Taking a tandem shower with a view. Sipping a glass of wine in front of the fireplace after a perfect day of skiing, as fresh snow blanketed the slopes for tomorrow. Oh, wait....that last one is a fantasy, not a memory. We were hiking, not skiing, and it was 80 degrees so no need of a fire. Guess we'll have to come back in the winter. Whenever you come, you'll love it, as Linda wants everyone to leave with fond memories.

Ready to Exhale....

Ok, so drum roll please… wait for it… almost there… ta’da! This weekend ROCKED! Seriously it did! We got there mid afternoon, unloaded our loot and headed down to the Fox and the Hound for margaritas and martinis. Their pizza is lovely btw. Then we came home to chill out in the hot tub and become jello. Afterwards, all of our aspirations for going out died. We were useless. I am not sure if it was the 5.5 hour drive, the delicious cocktails, or the hot tub but at any rate, they all worked magically and we were done. We ended up making French onion soup, had cheese and crackers and busted open a 2006 zinfandel. SAAAAAWEEET! Saturday started with coffee and a soak. I could soooooo get used to this! Thank goodness the place was vacant because my suit was still wet and I had to skinny dip! Had ridiculous showers under the freakin turkey platter of a shower s head and then did some light shopping before “brunch”. We needed a new collar for Axel and so we stopped at “Dog Dog Cat” or was it “Cat Cat Dog” or “Duck Duck Goose”? Either way, crazy cute place and got a nice squishy leather collar for the ol boy. Had lunch at the brewery and then headed “home” to pregame our night with wine. Two words… Chart House. Sweet hallelujah! I preordered so that my sister had zero control – hilarious! Oysters, prime rib, these sinfull little mushrooms – all of it was so NOT silly! After almost feeling sick, we rolled home – yes literally. Laid around like orcas and then crashed in our insanely high beds. As you can see, we had an amazing time. Thank you for all of your help with getting this project launched and for all your nice correspondence. We both wrote in the book too!

Complete relaxation at the foot of the mountains

We haven't technically stayed at this property yet but we were able to enjoy the soothing bubbles on the back deck after a chance encounter with the kindest woman in all of Tahoe. We were on our way to the time share hot tub and took a wrong turn. This is where we ran into Linda - whom we've never met before - and she invited us in to use her hot tub instead. We were surprised and a little thrown off but realized this was an opportunity we shouldn't pass up. In short - This house is heavenly. It has that perfect log cabin feel to it. Soaking in the hot tub while enjoying the amazing views in complete solitude was a perfect end to our spring vacation. Linda, thank you so much for your amazing generosity and warm heart. What a wonderful jewel in Lake Tahoe

We had such a wonderful vacation at Linda's home and wanted to let others know how special it is. You walk in and the warmth of the wood and the view take your breath away. Loved the vaulted ceiling with twinkling lights hanging down. It felt a bit like a spa staying here with the nice robes, indoor and outdoor hot tubs and clean pine tree scented air wafting in. We cooked almost every night and enjoyed the well equipped kitchen. Please add us to your fan club!

Just wanted to send you a quick note to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at your Tahoe condo. We have gone on many, many ski trips over the years and I must say your place is memorable. We were very impressed...such character in the design! If you were you personally involved in the layout during construction of the unit, we congratulate you. So many of the places we've stayed at over the years sort of blend together in our minds. Not this one...we'll certainly remember it. We loved it and if we return to South Lake Tahoe, we'll likely call you again...

My husband and I are frequent travelers and utilize VRBO often. This was our favorite stay to date. We loved the location, so close to town, casinos and the ski lift. We loved the beautiful and artistically designed wood interior. It was very warm and inviting. We loved the high end details like the shower heads, bathroom floors and high end hot tub. It's clear the owner cares very much about her vacation home and her guests. We felt pampered in every way and look forward to returning.

Honeymoon Vacation

Our trip to Tahoe was not only for our vacation, but we made it our wedding and honeymoon destination as well. The condo was exactly as described by VRBO and more. Everything you can imagine is available and at your fingertips. We loved the hot tub and enjoyed watching big screen TV in the downstairs bedroom. The shower in the upstairs bathroom was incredible; it was like taking a shower in a rainforest! Since we were planning our wedding long-distance, we had lots of questions and Linda, the condo owner was very accommodating, she made several recommendations for our wedding plans and we used most of them- from restaurants, to bakeries, to formal rental shop and hair dresser – all were great!
