This Maui oceanfront vacation condo is just 50 feet from the ocean; 180-degree ocean view featuring neighboring islands of Molokai and Lanai. The condo includes two enclosed bedrooms, two full bathrooms, full kitchen and a loft office/reading area with computer and wireless printer.
The condominium is located on top (3rd) floor of a small, low-rise complex just north of Kaanapali. The complex and surrounding neighborhood are uncrowded, yet all west Maui attractions and activities are very close. Lahaina, Ka'anapali Kahana, Napili and Kapalua are all within 4 miles.

Open and bright, this updated two-story townhouse condo features 2 enclosed bedrooms, 2 full baths, a full kitchen and a separate loft office/reading area with computer and printer. Enjoy one upstairs bedroom with California King size bed, and one downstairs bedroom with Queen size bed. Great for two couples or singles traveling together. Fully-equipped granite kitchen includes coffee maker, dishwasher, Jenn-Air radiant cooktop, conventional and microwave ovens, rice cooker, refrigerator with through-door ice maker, oversized disposal, toaster, and blender. 37" HDTV in the living room, Blu-Ray/DVD player and stereo with iPod dock. 27" HDTV with DVD player in upstairs bedroom. Digital cable service. Wi-Fi throughout the complex at no extra charge.
Two identical bathrooms feature walk-in granite showers with height-adjustable shower head/hand shower, granite counters, and vessel sinks.
The condo has a loft office/reading area (separate from the private bedrooms) with computer, wireless laser printer available free for guest use, good lighting and comfortable seating. If you bring your laptop (or Wi-Fi enabled device such as iPhone, iPad or Kindle) you can use the free wireless broadband Internet access available throughout the complex (even by the pool). Printer is on wireless network, so your can print from either our desktop computer or your Wi-Fi enabled laptop (after installing the appropriate driver). Useful for getting some work done while on vacation (if you must), or searching and booking activities on Maui - most of which have web sites. E-mail photos to envious friends and family back home.
Ceiling fans in all rooms, plus refreshing island Trade winds keep you naturally cool. Dine on your private lanai (balcony), while your rekindled spirit takes in the spectacular ocean view. Fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean.
Learn to blow a conch shell in the traditional Hawaiian ceremony to bless the next day's weather while viewing the sunset every evening. Relax by the pool or swim in the ocean. Why the Owner Chose Honokowai
We love Maui, and have been coming for years. We especially love upper west Maui, where the views of the neighbor islands of Molokai and Lanai are unmatched elsewhere on Maui - or any other tropical location we have been to. The Kulakane is a small, low-rise complex in the quiet Honokowai district, between Kaanapali and Kapalua. The historic village of Lahaina, once a whaling port, is probably the most popular tourist and shopping attraction on Maui. It is a short 10-minute drive from our condo, which allows us to enjoy it when we choose, and enjoy the quiet and privacy of Honokowai when we prefer to avoid the crowds. Two of Maui's premier golf locations, Kapalua and Kaanapali, are also within an easy 10-minute drive. Surf breaks, ranging from beginner level (Laniupoko) to advanced (Honolua Bay) are also within a 15-minute drive. The Honokowai Farmer's Market is held on MWF mornings, just 200 yards from our condo. Snorkel equipment, surfboard, mopeds, and video and video rentals are all within 1/2 mile of the condo.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Our condo directly faces the ocean, and is just 50 feet from the water's edge. From our private lanai (balcony), we see only the ocean, the neighbor islands, the beach and some of the local sea life (such as sea turtles, whales and dolphins). The lanai is almost an extension of the living room - it has an overhanging roof, side walls and is carpetted, so you can enjoy it in any weather, including tropical sprinkles. We sometimes sit on the lanai, surfing the web on our laptops (via the free Wi-Fi network) and watching the surf in front of us.
Our condo is furnished in a more contemporary fashion than the wicker-and-bamboo furniture found in many Hawaii condos.
There is a working office with a personal computer and wireless laser printer provided for your use. Stay in email contact with your friends back home, make your arrangements for Maui activities, take care a few business tasks (Microsoft Office 2007 is installed on the PC), print your boarding passes or even watch YouTube videos if you want - all without having to lug your laptop along.

When the surf is up, Honolua Bay is a great place for advanced surfers and for watching surfers. When the water is flat, this is one of the best snorkeling spots on the island.
A very nice beach. Surf ranges from mild to dangerous, depending on conditions. Lifeguard shack on site, and surf conditions are posted.
Most people will fly into the big airport in Kahului. However, if your itinerary requires a stop in Honolulu anyway, it may be worth using the West Maui airport for your final destination. The airport is 1.5 miles from the condo, and your luggage will be in your hands within 3 minutes of leaving the plane.

This is our second time at this condo because we love it so much. Every night another beautiful sunset. The view of the turtles from the balcony is incredible. The condo has all the conveniences you need and the grounds are well maintained. Don't miss the puu puu night on Friday where you can get to meet the other guests staying there. Great place to stay on Maui!!!
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Everything you see, and then some, is what you get!! This condo has everything and in top condition. The cooking gourmet kitchen is one example. Bring your favorite bottle of wine as you will certainly need it as you witness the spectacular sunsets. The property is well taken care of inside and out by an obviously dedicated staff. The snorkeling is fantastic just steps from your condo. Also don't worry about trransportation because the very punctual and clean bus system picks up in front of your condo and takes you to all the popular locations on the island----for only $2 all day!! We have been to many vacation rental properties around the world and most are not equipped and maintained to the extent of the owners claims---guess what?--not this time---no worries on renting this condo.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

This condo was very tastefully and nicely furnished and in a great location. What you see in the pictures is exactly what the condo looks like! We found everything we needed in it for our week stay. The views from the lanai were nothing short of spectacular. This listing says oceanfront and that's no joke!! We sat for hours and watched the turtles play in the water below us and the views of the whales were awesome as well! The condo complex grounds were well manicured and the rental staff were very friendly. The condo owner was very helpful about answering questions prior to our booking it and followed up with us after our visit to make sure our stay was enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend this condo to others and would stay there again myself!

We love your Hawaii home - it's perfect! So much fun to watch the turtles and paly on the beach. This is our third time at the Kulakane (first in 302) and we will certainly be back. As someone who loves to cook, I appreciated your well-stocked kitchen and our 7 year-old adored the decor in "her" room. Mahalo and aloha.

We love the Kulakane - this is our 5th stay here but the first in your unit. You've done a wonderful job making the most of the space you have & filled it with everything one needs for a comfortable stay. The view is stunning. We loved the sunsets and watching the turles from the lanai. We will return - mahalo!
