"LA POSADA DEL SUECO" is a beautiful and charming beach house with two studio cottages. It is located 2 Kilometers outside a town called "Playas" (AKA General Villamil) which is about 80 kilometers from Guayaquil,the nearest large city and international airport. This is a beach front house - Walk out the back gate right onto the enormous, sandy beach. The house has a European feel with exposed wooden beams and lots of natural light. One of the studio cottages is self-contained with a kitchen and bathroom, the other has a bathroom. There is large gated courtyard in front with covered parking areas and a charming shrine garden.
The Main house has two bedrooms, two living rooms, a dining area and a small bar adjoining the fully stocked kitchen. The master bedroom has air conditioning and a breath taking view of the ocean. The pool has a waterfall fountain and is surrounded by tropical flowers, patios and a quaint cactus garden. The caretakers, who live next door, are a charming family who provide security, house-care, food shopping and can even do cooking for a small fee. The beach enters the ocean at shallow slope, the waves are big enough to be fun but not dangerous and there is little or no current. There are some good surf spots a short drive away. A stay here could be an ideal beginning or ending to a trip to the Galapagos.
Restaurants are nearby and plentiful. There is one small "resort," where inexpensive massage, and gym facilities are available as well as a wider variety of European-style food. The walk along the beach to Playas is highly recommended! (it takes about 25 minutes). Otherwise, the bus comes frequently or you can flag down private taxi/truck for a dollar. Playas is a quiet little fishing town that receives local tourists from Guayaquil during the weekends of the hot season. The town has numerous bakeries, restaurants, a wonderful local food market, low-cost gift and clothing stores, at least six internet "cafes", and long-distance telephone facilities. Walk into town along the beach- 30 minutes. Welcome to the lovely LA POSADA DEL SUECO in Playas Ecuador!

Whale watching !!
From june to august, the humpback whales chose the ecuadorian coast to do an special dance of love, and to conquer the female and complete the reproduction cicle. Also the humpback babies get birth here, and learn how to swim next to the mother. Its possible for the tourist to take special tours from Playas to go futher out on the ocean and be part of this amazing nature's miracle.
Dolphins watching!!
Near to Playas (just 14 km) is located Puerto El Morro, where the adventure with dolphins is starting... This is a little town next to a special bay where this marvelous animals learned how to share with humans. They usually scort, as a special company, the small boats saling on this sweet/salty water. You can also rent this boats to go some place called Bird Island, and in the way you can also ask for sport fishing.

La Posada del Sueco es una casa de playa ubicada dos kilometros en las afueras de Playas de Villamil. Guayaquil es la mas cercana ciudad, que cuenta con un aeropuerto internacional, a unos 80 kilometros de distancia, (1 hora en taxi o 2 por bus). La casa es al pie del mar, al salir del porton es posible caminar tranquilamente por la enorme playa. La casa tiene un estilo europeo con un balcon con vista al mar. Ademas, la casa principal tiene dos salas, un comedor y puertas corredizas hacia el jardin. La piscina tiene una agradable cascada y hermosas flores tropicales por todo el rededor. Es posible contar con personal de servicio para la casa pues los guardianes de la propiedad viven junto a ella y se podria hacer un acuerdo con ellos para eso. Este es un lugar muy tranquilo de pescadores. La playa es bastante tranquila tambien, no muy profunda, pero las olas pueden ser suficientes para una buena sesion de surf. Hay espacio suficiente para varios carros en el garage. Bienvenidos la posada del sueco!
Delfines:
Cerca de Playas (a solo de 14 kilometros) esta localizado Puerto El Morro, donde la aventura de los delfines empieza... Este es una pequena y especial bahia donde estos maravillosos animales aprenden como compartir con los humanos. Ellos usualmente escoltan, como una compania especial, a los pequenos botes que navegan en el agua salobre del Paseo de los Delfines. Se puede rentar estos botes tambien para ir a un lugar llamado La Isla de los Pajaros y en el trayecto se puede incluso practicar la pesca deportiva.
Ballenas:
De junio a agosto, las ballenas jorobadas escogen las costas ecuatorianas para hacer una danza especial de amor, conquistar a la hembra y completar el ciclo de reproduccion. Tambien las crias de esta asombrosa especie nacen en las aguas ecuatorianas y aprenden a nadar junto a la madre. Es posible para los turistas tomar toures especiales desde Playas y salir mar afuera para ser parte de este milagro de la naturaleza.

The Unique Benefits at this House and Two Cottages
You can walk right out on the beach from the back gate and its only 100 meters to the ocean.
its very tranquil and lovely place and its safe and guarded.
The weather is great all year around and we have all comforts as internet, cabeltv,video library,books,games,music system,radio,sea kayak,pool,BBQ,restaurant,music bar and a exotic lovely garden.
The view from the main house bedroom balcony is also stunning to watch the sunsets over the pacific in the evening.
Playas a more tranquil place for people who like to relax on the beach and enjoy the pacific. Here you also can by fr�sch catched fish,lobster,shrimps,oysters and lots of more things. you can buy it
A Cab costs around 30-50$ and it takes around an houre. Second is the bus who costs 2.50$ takes 2 houres the bus leavs from the bus terminal next to the airport.
Here you can go and party if you like, they have night clubs and lots of bars, built a little like miami beach walk.here they have good wave surfing.
Montanita 3 houres by bus from playas, very rustic built place with many restaurants bars clubs and big wavs for surfing. Here! many backpackers go.
