Astasia Villa is a luxurious Thai Bali style 2 story villa located a few meters from the quiet Natien Beach near Laem Set in the beautiful south eastern corner of Koh Samui. It is set amongst the most beautiful mature tropical gardens, and has its own totally private 36 square meter swimming pool.
Astasia Villa is in peaceful Samui Beach Village, a small development of newly built elegant prestigious villas, - set well away from the main road. There is a Private Sport and Social Club ,open to Residents 150 metres away with superb facilities including a restaurant. The villa, completed in 2007 offers elegant living whether you are inside or outside, has 4 large en-suite bedrooms, and 2 extra small bedrooms There are 3 entertainment areas outside around the sparkling free flow pool with a Jacuzzi seat, all beautifully lit at night and with a dedicated outside bathroom. The interior is really spacious, (410 sq m) with classic furniture personally chosen from Chang Mai and wonderful artwork.
The Villa, whilst located in the less crowded, more picturesque South Eastern corner of Koh Samui, is still not far away from the bustling lively town of Lamai, with it's new Mall, Hypermarket, and plentiful nightlife. Whilst it is some 20 minutes from the rather brash town of Chaweng, - indeed many of the best restaurants are close by to Astasia Villa. Many of the varied day time out door activities are close by, and they all provide free transport, as do the dive and snorkeling trips.
The Beach, just 50 metres away is pure white sand and is protected by a reef, meaning the sea is very safe for swimming. Kite Surfing is very popular during November to March.

we spent 3 nights here. Words/pictures/websites dont to justice. Its hard for me to call it a "Villa", cuase the experience was more than just that, we weren't treated like guests at a hotel,but more like family. Its clean, very well maintained and all the amenities mentioned are truly there. I would fully, and I mean FULLYY recommend this place to my friends.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We had a group of six stay in Villa Astasia for 4 nights. The villa is amazing, it's huge rand spacious, beautifully decorated and has a great pool! The villa is located just a ten minute taxi ride into the town of Lamai and the beach is only a min walk away. The owners are very accommodating and helpful and I look forward to returning (but longer next time!). The resort are also great with daily maids, delicious room service if you don't want to cook and a fast taxi service.Owner response: Thank you so much for your review and we are so pleased that you enjoyed your short stay in our wonderful villa. we arrived at the villa which is a very nice villa and its so very close to the most wonderful beach but we had several hygine issues with the villa during our stay which was a huge shame. The fault did lie with the management company but still we spent 4 days out of 8 getting everything put right. the layout of the villa was good, i woudl recommend the villa to people but only if it was cleaned etc to the standard that it should have been.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+.
Owner response: We as owners were very disturbed to find out from these guests that the villa had not been propely prepared to our usual high standard. We have subsequently, in January this year (2011) replaced this managing company with one for whom we have already had very positive and complementory comments. We do not expect these problems to ever exist again. The lady and famly in question have been compensated for their inconvenience.

The Villa is absolutely fanstic! Beautiful, Clean, Big, very relex and people here are very friendly treat you really like the family. The service speed are so efficient, they response what you request in no time, that is the service you won't get .. at least in UK. There is no dishwasher and we have a child so need to cook quite often. It's not the problem to clean the dishes but if it has a dishwasher then it's plus. We find out there is a very good Thai restaurant half way to the Tesco, very good cook and price also VERY reasonable. So, why cooking? Rent a car may not essential, but motobike. (make sure you know how to ride, otherwise, rent a car. cannot ride or drive? be a passenger then) All my family members are very pleased the experience to stay at this villa. It brings our relationship even closer and have memorable holiday. We stayed here 6 nights in end of Feb 2010. We were 3 families at a total of 11 people. The owner is very friendly and helpful. And the managing company at the place is very service minded. The pool was great, and the house gave space for everyone (however we didn't use the house for more than sleeping due to the good weather). I would recommend to go her as this is good value for money. If there should be anything mentioned we all thought the beds were too hard and therefore uncomfortable, and the air condition units a bit noisy. And the sewage system had its few issues when we visited, although this was rectified immediately by the managing company. It is better than 4 stars, but should really be adjusted a little bit down from 5 stars due to the beds. But the service minded owner and managing company makes the total a 5 star choice.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

About the owner: We, Roger and Alva are the Original Owners,and have been going to Koh Samui since 1984. We come from England, but spend most of the year living in South Africa since we retired. Roger was an Airline Pilot with British Midland
Why the Owner Chose Koh Samui:
We love Thailand, the People, Culture, and of course the Food !!, amongst many other things the Country has to offer. Having visited Koh Samui many, many times it only seemed natural to buy a Villa , and indeed we spend up to 2 months of the year there. We carefully selected the location, in one of the most Beautiful parts of the Island, bought the Villa 'Off Plan' and included our own personal touches.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
Having bought the Villa new, we were able to furnish, decorate and fit it out ourselves. The Art works we selected are particularly stunning, and the furniture,comes from Chang Mai, and is mainly Hand Made, and some of it very Interesting.
The Villa is Very spacious, but all our Guests have mentioned how homely, we have made it feel.
The Pool is also a bit Special, a lovely size, always warm of course, and features a 4 metre long Jacuzzi seat across the width, at the shallow end. The surrounding Garden, is quite simply colourful and gorgeous, set as it is under swaying Coconut Trees. The Beach (soft White Sand )and Sea, are just seconds away, down the private Lane
