Enjoyed a month's stay in lovely Fort Lauderdale. The location could not be better, as a short walk to the Galleria Mall, Publix grocery store, Starbuck and a 24 hour CVS/pharmacy. All the photos are accurate and the unit was meticulous, had every kitchen you could want or need, beach chairs, extra blankets/pillows, all the comforts of home. The neighbors were very helpful & friendly and the pool overlooks the canal and just outside the front door. My wife and I enjoyed our daily beach walks and coming back to refresh in the pool or relax with a book. Had no problems during our stay, the A/C was perfect and internet ran quickly. The Sun Trolley also stops at the Galleria Mall and for 50 cents does a loop down to Las Olas Blvd and all the attractions there. We both took the public bus from the airport; while it took an hour and 2 bus changes, it only cost $4 each and dropped us off at the Galleria Mall. We do alot of cruises and would definitely stay again for the proximity to both the airport and Port Everglades.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This was our second time renting this great little condo because it is in the perfect location if you like to be near the ocean but also want peace and quiet - we will definitely come back again. This condo is in a very quiet well-maintained older complex right on the Middle River and across the street from Galleria mall. It is an easy one mile walk to the beach, less to the water taxi on the intra-coastal waterway which will take you to Las Olas Blvd and the river walk near downtown Ft Lauderdale. The condo is nicely furnished with all the amenities you need for cooking your meals in, and includes a small portable propane bbq for your use almost right out your door. Beach chairs and towels are provided. The listing photos are accurate. There are many very good restaurants and a Publix Market within walking distance, plus a new CVS Pharmacy is opening one block away. Debra was very accessible via phone or email and readily accomodated our requests related to our arrival and departure dates and times. This property is perfect for a couple looking for a quiet vacation relaxing around the pool or spending time at the beach. If you have a car your parking spot is right around the corner of the building; if not it is a relatively short $25 taxi ride from FLL airport.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car.

My husband and I stayed in this lovely condo in Fort Lauderdale after a cruise. All in all, we had a great stay. The owner's communications, responsiveness, and patience with answering all of our questions was exemplary. The location of the condo is outstanding – just as stated. We absolutely did not need a car and had a great time walking everywhere and taking the water taxi when we ventured farther afield. We found everything we needed in the shops and attractions near by and felt very safe. The unit was very clean and well stocked.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car.

We enjoyed a 4 week stay in the property and were more than pleased with the facilities. There was everything you could possibly need and more, a fully equipped kitchen with more than enough pans, plates, utencils etc. The washing machine and tumble dryer came in really handy as we had a 3 month old baby with us. The pool is right outside the door and then the river. Really friendly and helpful residents. The location suited us as we liked to walk with the pram, it's about an 8 minute walk through the Galleria shopping centre to the main bus route, or about 20 minutes to the beach. The owners Deb and Paul were very helpful and available for anything we needed. We would definately recommend to friends and family visiting Fort Lauderdale.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

A wonderful vacation rental that you walk into and only need to bring your personal things. Nothing has been left out at this cozy condo. Open your front room blinds to view the beautiful pool and sail boats on the Middle River. You literally do not need a car once you arrive. The Galleria Mall is across the street were you can take a trolley or bus anywhere you need to go. The beach is 1 mile from your door which we walked every morning. Once there lots of cute places to set and enjoy the Ocean view. The area is safe and friendly. The owner is the best and will go out of her way to make your stay perfect.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers.

we stayed here late September into October.It was clean comfortable and very well equipped.The pool was a delight Relaxing on the loungers watching boats sail by. The mall was literally 1 minute walk away with a really good food court A Publix supermarket was across the road from the mall again easy to walk to.A straight drive inland for about 20 minutes and you arrived at one of the biggest oulet malls possible Sawgrass mills.You could buy anything there.The only problem we had was the walk to the beach.We are not as young as we were so found it a little too much for us but for younger people it would not be a problem.We had a car so this did not spoil our visit to the beach.I would stay here again if we ever visit in the futureRecommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

About the owner: Recently retired, we now split our time between Fort Lauderdale and Kansas City. We purchased our first vacation rental property in Sam Miguel de Allende, Mexico in 1998; then a second one in 2001. We have good friends who introduced us to Fort Lauderdale in the late 90s. In 2006 we decided it was time to have our own vacation place in FL and found this terrific little condo on the Middle River. The location couldn't be better and the views are just lovely. After several years we purchased a 2-bedroom condo just a few blocks from Middle River. That is now our winter home as we have so many friends and family who want to get out of the Midwest during the winter.
Why the Owner Chose Middle River Terrace:
The location of the condo couldn't be better. We're on the first floor in a corner unit, with the primo parking spot. We have a great view out the LR window of the pool and Middle River. We're one block from the Galleria Mall; 1 mile from the beach and a short walk to many great restaurants, movie theatre, new Publix, French bakeries and other shops. A car is not necessary, especially if you love to walk as we do.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Our complex is very quiet and we've decorated the condo with all the amenities we have at home. My husband is a great cook, so we have a gourmet-style kitchen with excellent pots and pans, knives, special utensils, wine rack, etc. And we have Wi-Fi and a portable gas BBQ grill. The other great feature is the washer and dryer – it's so nice to have those immediately available in the condo.
