  May 10-17, 2009 Marilyn & Jeff- Thank you so much for the great hospitality. This Casita was so wonderful with all the amenities, it felt like home. I wish we could stay just a bit longer because it it's so relaxing and quiet. It was so peaceful. You picked a great location for your Casita because it's in great proximity to so many things to do around the area. Thank you so much for your suggestions on different things to do & see. The view from the back deck is just awesome, Kurt and I took about 800 pictures during the course of a week. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely be staying here again. Again, thank you so much, the stay was just wonderful. Kurt and Ashley and soon to be born, Liam.

The eating area at the back is wonderful, we took most of meals outside because of the views & the atmosphere you provided. The coffee is great Jeff! It felt like home. I will be back.   4-27-09 Marilyn and Jeff- Thank you so much! This has been the most unbelievable vacation for us - the 1st we've taken as a family since Lucy was born 3.5 years ago. We don't want to go home! You must hear that all the time! Thanks for all the advice and recommendations - Plaza Blanca and Ghost Ranch were amazing, Ghost ranch literally took my breath away!   Dec 23, 08 - Jan 1, 09 Our stay at the Casita de Chuparosa has been one of the best get-a-wayswe have had in a great while. The Casita is decorated, furnished and the supplied with the greatest of care. It is extremely comfortable and beautiful without being pretentious. We felt completely at home in your very special place. The undisturbed and quiet setting of your hilltop home was extremely peaceful for us. Even though we both had colds we couldn't think of a more restful place to convalesce. We found the vistas from the windows mesmerizing and brought the poet side of George to life again. Thank you for a wonderful stay and gracious hospitality.

  11-25-08 Well, what can we say that hasn't already been said. You live in a magical area that seems to have stood still with time. What an experience to be able to explore the beauty of the landscape and then to come home to the the Casita and have everything we need -- provided for us. D insists that I mention Da (Doug) broke his finger while exploring the White Place. My favorite excursion was the ridge on Rd. 151, it's probably the longest 13.5 miles I've ever driven --- I would say a must to do for anybody. We will certainly be back and highly recommend your home away from home to our friends. Thanks, The Hewitt's

  9-12 Nov 08 Cheers Marilyn & Jeff- Magnifique! is you Casita! Rob and I had an awesome stay. We were on the road a lot, but having a nice start of the day in the Casita and to come in after along day made our vacation so special. Thank you for all of your recommendations from Doc Martens in Taos, Ojo Caliente to our excursion to Chaco Canyon, yes you do live in the Land of Enchantment. There are too many aspects of the Casita too list. However everything form the utensils, to the soaps, the birds to the horses, wow! etc.....And the customer service = Outstanding! Bravo!

Of the many places we've stayed, yours is at the top of our list.Many ingredients set yours apart from others, your friendly greeting and thoughtful advice along with your willingness to be available for us for anything, your attentiveness to every detail of comfort imaginable, the well stocked kitchen and the quiet comfortable living space the Casita provides. We especially enjoyed the serenity of your setting here, from the beautiful landscape to star-gazing from the back deck. This location & your friendly attentiveness to ensure every comfort is available to your guests all combine to make a visit here a memorable one! Our only disappointment is not being able to stay longer - two days simply is not enough. Next year we intend to make amends for that! Thank you, again for a wonderful stay!

  10/18-10/25 Marilyn + Jeff- What a wonderful refuge this has been for us! One we we got used to the hum of the refrigerator , the squeak of the floors and the squeaky fence around the back sitting area, we settled in nicely. Our timing couldn't have been better for the extraordinary gold, yellow and orange of the cottonwoods shining in the glorious fall sunlight in the river valley below - until sub 20 weather struck one night and the gold vanished! The view across the valley is superb, especially the sunsets behind our favorite peak-Pedernal. The daily newspaper and weather report each morning was a welcome ritual for our coffee and tea in the sun. and the last couple nights having the wonderful fireplace roaring wand crackling as we drifted off to sleep was a first for us in all of our vacation travels! Your presence and attention was a support and comfort while giving us all the privacy we wanted. We wish you many years of pleasure and sharing this place with other if you choose to stay. You certainly provided a welcome retreat for us especially as I was under the weather for several days and needing to rest. Be well and thanks for everything.

  Jeff & Marilyn, We enjoyed your Casita so much. There was absolutely nothing more we could have asked for. It was a wonderful 4 day get-a-way. The Kitchen was stocked beyond our expectations and the waffles were to die for. (l00% maple syrup and real butter.) YUM!!!! You were so accomodating and we really appreciated it.   Marilyn& Jeff & the two Jacks! Okay, so we barely saw you. Our relentless pursuit of the next adventure took is far and wide, from sunrise to sunset. However..... That does not mean we did not enjoy our stay at the little hummingbird home. We did! Words like amazing, perfect,thoughtful, helpful, tasty, incredible.- all come to mind. You guys thought of absolutely everything..from coolers to keys for the hot springs lockers from weather reports to thermos'; guidebooks, to handcreams, internet access to movies. We have NEVER rented such a thoughtful place to stay EVER. We love your horses, your dogs, the crows on the fence, the jack rabbit in the yard, the hummingbird tree, the cedar bug spray, the environmentally conscious everything. Thank you so much, we are sorry to have to leave. We hope you stay in business and don't leave because of your rotten neighbor, so we can visit yet again. Diane , Linda and Zane P.S.   M & J- What a wonderful get away from it all place. I felt so comfortable and provided for. Love your notes around the house, as I age I need lots of reminders.   8/07/08 We "admit it"! We definitely did a disservice to Casita Chuparosa...Two days is not enough time to spend in such a welcoming, comfortable and beautiful spot. Thank you for being so sensitive to our food requirements and for stocking the Lenders for us!
