When I was looking for a place to stay in the Pasadena area, I found this guest house online and instantly fell in love with it. It looked even more charming when I saw it in person (though it was a rainy day!). The studio and the surrounding areas are clean and well maintained, and all the little details such as candles and flowers make it very cozy. Furniture is comfy, washer/dryer are handy; you can find all bathroom/kitchen necessities just where they are supposed to be. I enjoyed the sound of birds and the water in the fountain while having breakfast/lunch on the private patio. I liked to be close to the mountains - withing a 30 minute hike from this place you can get breathtaking views of San Gabriel Valley, the Pacific Ocean, Catalina Island, etc. There are a number of great places to eat/have coffee/ice cream/etc in town, but if you need a larger variety, downtown Pasadena is just a few minutes away. Thank you to the owner, Rick, for the nice customer service! I definitely would recommend this place.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I already knew that I loved Sierra Madre, so it was a treat staying here, at the foot of the mountains. The pictures can't capture how well-designed the space is. Yes, it is a studio/guest-house, but the layout and the furnishings made for a very relaxing, pleasant two week visit for a couple who normally live in separate residences. There is a lovely mountain view from the shared terrace, and a nice private area closed off from the main house and other guest house. In the summer, the shadiness would be particularly welcome. I imagine. All of the furnishings and supplies were of an impressively high quality -- full-size washer & dryer, soft cotton sheets, great dishes & cooking supplies -- even a wonderful teapot. The little kitchen area features a quite substantial door, which cuts down on morning noise while others are trying to sleep. Great!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This guest house was just perfect! You can tell that every detail was taken care of. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need for cooking and the rest of the house was well appointed. I can't say enough regarding the landscaping, as it is just so beautiful and amazing! I definitely will rebook in the future and recommend it as a cozy and relaxing "home away from home!"Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

What a beautiful home! The grounds were simply magnificent! The home was decorated exquisitely and was extremely comfortable and spacious. I especially enjoyed being minutes away from Old Town Pasadena and only about 30 minutes from Los Angeles. I highly recommend this vacation home and can't wait to return!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
