  We had a wonderful long ladies weekend to celebrate my Mom's 70th Birthday. The home was simply stunning. Grounds were beautifully maintained with a pond, multiple decks, and outdoor fire pit area. Interior is wonderful - magnificent master suite in addition to three other bedrooms. Beds were very comfortable. Two sided wood fireplace that opened to the living and reading/music rooms provided a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Easy access to shopping and beach areas. My Mom could not have had a better place to celebrate and make wonderful memories with her family.

  had a week with the children and their wives in beautiful door county. Kitchen, outdoor grill, sleeping accommodations were very good. Everyone enjoyed the big house in the country and would recommend. Beautiful fall view of the surrounding woods.

  The best home away from home we could have hoped for. Perfect accommodation for our two families to enjoy what Door Co has to offer. We brought our bikes which the two twelve-year olds used up and down the long drive as well as along the back path through the meadow. Set up our badminton set in the big yard and everyone enjoyed throughout the week....didn't have time to set up our croquet, but there would have room for that too! The men love the fire pit in the evenings and the kids joined too with s'mores and telling stories. The grill was perfect...one evening dinner was salmon that the guys caught during a charter fishing expedition on the lake (the highlight of their week!). Kitchen was well-equipped. Coffee in the morning on one of the two decks was a great way to start the day. Thanks to our hosts for a wonderful week!

  We stayed at the house for 3 nights and it was wonderful. The beds were extremely comfortable and we had everything we could've needed. We had 4 adults and 4 kids....and we hardly ever saw the kids. They were either in the bonus room playing games or watching tv, outside exploring or swinging on the rope swing. We truly enjoyed our stay.

  It was a beautiful house on the ridge top with woods on one side and open fields on the other so you enjoy the uninterrupted view of morning sun rise. It was very pleasant dealing with the owner of the house and he was true gentle man answering all the questions we had and give us a heads up on some of things that you would need. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this house and both kids and adults had equally good time. The house was beautiful and is very well maintained. It was clean with fresh flowers. I would definitely recommend this property to any one who is looking for a place in door county.

  This property is so beautiful! There are perennial beds all around the grounds. It is lovely to just sit outside and enjoy the beauty and quiet. There is also a path where you can walk through the field if you want some exercise. I was impressed with how clean the house was inside. My favorite room was the master suite! There are memory foams on all the beds and down comforters on both the queen and king beds. Also a down alternative on the hide a bed. Upstairs is the movie room and a great place to just hang out. The house is spread out, with plenty of space to escape if you need to get away by yourself. The location is great also. It is only 10 minutes away from the ferry to Washington Island and 5 minutes away from the crowds. I would recommend this to all my friends. It is a great place to stay!!

  A rare find for a home rental; no disappointments whatsoever! The house and grounds were spotlessly clean and well maintained, rooms tastefully decorated, beds comfortable, beautiful hilltop setting. Sunsets were beautiful from the house. We loved that is was right down the road from beaches and parks on Lake Michigan. Door Bluff Park and Europe Bay Beach trails were close-by and our favorites for walks and views. The owners lived in Door County for many years and very helpful for recommending places to eat, hike, shop, etc.

  We really enjoyed this place. No complaints. Its great for a family get away. The owners are nice people. The house is very well equipped. (Tv's, movies, games, dishes/cookware etc.) It certainly had it all. We even did some cooking and used the grill out on the deck a few nights. There is a firepit at the top of the sled run for marshmallow roasting. The property is pretty unique. There are no neighbors in sight. Its up on a hill, has a great view, and is very quiet and peaceful. It has a long paved driveway and a hoop for the kids to skateboard or play basketball. Lots of forest and meadows to explore. (there are some walking paths) It was a convenient place for us since its right in the middle of everything we wanted to do and see. To the north- the ferry to Washington Island then to Rock Island (beautiful), Ephraim, Fish Creek and Peninsula State park to the south and SO much in between. The place is quite a bargain and it met all our needs. I would recommend it.

  This homestead is all that is advertised and more. There is privacy but activities abound on the property and near by, too. Stay put or venture out, either one or both; you might even bring your horse if you want. This is a retreat for any season; for the whole family or a romantic getaway.

  This home has all of the room that any family would need. The master bedroon is a private suite with an incredible view. The spa bathtub eases the sore muscles from hiking at nearby Europe Bay trail. The bedrroms privide privacy and the large family room is a great get together spot after a long day. The North room was my favorite room to sit with a cup of cofee early in the morning and watch the colors of the fields and trees change as the morning progressed. Each room was meticulously decorated and clean. The kitchen was fully furnished with nothing lacking. Outside the house had a large patio where we bar-b-qued and watched our children run around the large field adjacent to the property. Ellison Bay is a 2 minute drive where the old time Pioneer Store had pretty much anything that you would need as far as groceries, toiletries, ect.. A 5 minute drive north is Europe Bay which had a great walking trail and also a great beach that was beautiful. I would recomend this house to anyone interested in a very private setting, great views, and a beautiful home. The listing title is exactly what it said it was and the photos and description were spot on.
