Located in Playacar phase 2, Playa Del Carmen, known as the most popular beach town in the Riviera Maya.
Bordering properties of Phase 1, this unique, centrally located home is situated 45 minutes from Cancun Airport at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, right across from a shared tennis court and pool. The Villa is a three minute walk to the beach, six houses from The Reef Club Hotel and has beach access for all properties in Playacar. Robert Von Hagge, the famous 18 hole championship golf course, is also only a few minutes walk away.
Take a 15 to 17 minute walk to Playa Del Carmen and visit bustling 5th Avenue. Here, you will discover a variety of boutiques and shops, internet cafes, night clubs, sidewalk cafés and people watching. Eco-parks, such as Xel-ha, Xcaret, Tres Rios and Sian Kaan, and the famous Maya Ruins of Tulum, Chechen-itza and Coba are all close by. The main level of Casa Sand Castle holds a bright two story foyer, a master suite with king size bed and sitting area, private large bathroom, a walk-in closet and balcony. The large principle room’s bedroom level is 1195 square feet (111 meters). The second bedroom contains two queen beds that share a double vanity with shower. A third bedroom also has two queen beds. All beds feature 450 thread count Egyptian cotton linens.
Once at the top of the stairs to the upper level, a large open plan allows plenty of room for socializing. The full sized kitchen includes a ceramic cook top stove, dishwasher, double sink, double door fridge and a breakfast bar that seats four. The roomy dining area seats eight and the living room has stylish rattan furniture laid out beneath a stunning brick cupola and large chandelier above the the coffee table. Other features include a starchoice satellite receiver, television, DVD, stereo and secured wireless internet.
A second seating area with a smaller table is perfect for board games or children to enjoy. Both the bedroom level and living area overlook a charming private garden. The Casa Sand Castle’s 783 square foot (73 meters) rooftop deck is spacious and open, and features two seating areas that give guests a view of the ocean and the island of Cozumel. Cool off with an outdoor shower on the roof or enjoy the sea breeze from under the patio umbrella as you let your worries drift away!
Sand Castle Arena
With the popularity of Casa Sand Castle for its fabulous location, proximity to the beaches, Reef Club and 5th Avenue in Playa Del Carmen we created a 1 bedroom 550 sf (51 m2) completely separate and private self contained garden level suite called Sand Castle Arena. Sand Castle now can be rented as 4 bedroom house also. As a 4 bedroom house a couple, parents or Grand Parents can have privacy staying in Arena but still mingle, dine or enjoy the views of Cozumel from the roof top deck.
Sand Castle Arena features a large walk in shower, stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, king bed with 300 count Versailles Egyptian cotton linens, new mini split AC, safe, high ceilings and a large garden patio. Arena does not have access to the rooftop deck or main house unless it is rented as a 4 bedroom house. Whether your needs are for a small quaint 1 bedroom suite, or a larger 3 or 4 bedroom home Casa Sand Castle can accommodate parties from 2 to 10 people.
As an added bonus, you will have discounted half-day or full-day all-inclusive privileges at The Reef Club Hotel. Just use your Playacar VIP card to access free beach towels and lounge chairs. You will be entitled to all meals, snacks and beverages and the on-site gym and pool. All non-motorized water sports are also included. Why the Owner Chose Playacar
Playacar is a large gated community right next to Playa Del Carmen. I bought on this particular street Returno Sayil for its superb location. Casa sand Castle is a two minute walk to the Reef club & Beach, and is right across from the tennis court and swimming pool. I am off the main drag, have a tennis court and pool right across from me.
The Unique Benefits at this House
I enjoy the large open space on the main floor, large bedrooms and in particular the 800sf rooftop deck that has a view of the ocean and Cozumel. Backing on to Fase 1 jungle makes this house very private.
Reterno Sayil is one of two private gated roads in Playacar offering a safe environment for kids at the end of the cul da sac. Reef Club, beach & golf course are just minutes away. 15 to 17 minute wal
Take your family or guests and use the Reef Clubs pool and chairs. Half or full day passes are available for all inclusive privileges as well.

I am a Canadian that enjoys living in Mexico and Canada. Being well travel and seeing many parts of the world, I fell in love with Playa Del Carmen and plan on retiring there when my children are older. After purchasing there I knew a had a great location.Over time though hearing from the locals in the area what I had bought was a much better location than I realized. My street is one of the only private streets in Playacar.

We found this house perfectly suited our needs for 3 adults and 3 children for our eight night stay. It is at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in the gated Playacar community. The house is right across the street from the pool and tennis court and a 3 minute walk to the beach. The location is central to all sites and activities on the Mayan Riviera. It is a 20 minute walk or a short cab ride to famous 5th Ave. in Playa or the ferry to Cozumel. I recommend a car if you want to see some of the sites south of town like snorkelling at Xel-Ha or the ruins and beaches at Tulum. The new adventure park, Xplor is a short cab ride away and well worth the money. The house has all the features you need like wireless internet, satellite & flat panel TV, a beautiful kitchen, air conditioning and a rooftop deck. The wireless internet was very useful to plan the daily activities as most offered discounts for booking online. We checked out most of the grocery stores in town, but liked Chedraui the best. Hint: next to the wine section is "imported food" ie Canadian products. When you are tired of cooking at home, there are lots of great restaurants in Playa and most are listed in the info binder at the house. A few last comments...the house is in excellent repair with many new items (bedding, tv, kitchen stuff, etc). Both the owner in Vancouver and the local management company were very responsive to any questions that we had from booking through to checkout. The local manager was also very helpful with booking airport transfers and suggesting shopping locations and other activities. We will definitely stay at Casa Sandcastle again.
Recommended for:Age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Great house in a great location! Close enough to walk into Playa, yet totally private and quiet. Stayed here with my in-laws and my two kids, and this was the perfect set up. Well stocked with kitchen equipment, bedding etc. All round *****

Beautiful place to stay! Nice and private, yet close to everything. Playa car is a great location... just minutes from the most incredible beach. You can also walk all along the beach to downtown Playa Del Carmen :) I would highly recommend Casa Sand Castle, we had an amazing two weeks there!!

The Tilley’s from Boston Mass.Had the best vacation ever. We love Playa Del Carmen. The house is perfect for a family of 5 with some grandparents thrown in. The location of the house is perfect also close to town, close to hotels, great running path. We will definitely return to Casa Sand Castle. The staff was also incredible. Everyone was so friendly and very helpful. Thank you !!
