This cottage sits in Galilea, the highest mountain village of Mallorca, Spain. Mallorca is the largest of the Baleares Islands which are a 20 minute flight from Barcelona and about two hours from London.

The cottage, named "Casa Pequiña" (small house) or "Casa ca'n Yara" (after my mother, Yaroslava) is about 700 square feet though I've never measured. It has one bedroom downstairs (double bed) and a loft bedroom upstairs (single bed). There's a full kitchen and bathroom with shower. We ask that you conserve water as it must all be trucked up the mountain. A recently added convenience is a nice low-water consumption washing machine.

The views, as you can see, are stunning. The village, Galilea, is as charming, quaint, and quiet as can be. I have been traveling here for over 35 years and little has changed. It's a 20 minute drive to the nearest beach. But there's the whole island to explore.

This is a perfect house to people who are looking for a quiet place to retreat, relax, and enjoy. Our English caretaker, Jane is available for emergencies but renters should clean up after themselves. Jane will do a bedsheet wash at the end of your stay and make sure all is well before and after your stay, but there is no maid service.

It's nice to rent a car (best arranged in advance) to get to the village and around the island. Motorcycles are also available to rent. There is also bus service to the village. Please make sure to go to my Personal Website to see MANY MORE PICTURES and information.
