We LOVED our stay on the Yellowstone River. Great little cottage VERY NICELY appointed-everything we could possibly need. Beautiful setting and easy drive to Yellowstone and to Gardiner which is a fun little town (K-Bar!!). Many thanks for this wonderful segment of our Western vacation.

Would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in the Yellowstone area, and would rent it again myself if I ever return! It was exceptionally neat, and very well stocked both with paper products and kitchen ware (they have more gadgets in their kitchen than I do!). The towels were large and fluffy, and the beds were comfortable. The table, grill, and furniture on the back patio were wonderful to have. Also nice to have dishwasher, washer and dryer. This cabin is on the end, so there's a bit more privacy too. There is a communal firepit 2 cabins down out back.

This is a wonderful, well-appointed cabin to use as base camp at YNP. Ron and Kierin are very helpful and thoughtful owners. We had a great week.

Kieren and Ron. Your place is terrific. We had a great week from 8/22 - 8/29/09. All the little extra's you have in the cabin gave so much more time to enjoy the area rather than worrying about shopping. Enjoyed it tremendously and totally recommend the cabin to anyone heading to Yellowstone. Thanks, Phil, Nancy and Tony.

The Yellowstone River Cabin was the ideal place to stay during our (2nd in two years) YNP visit. It's very close to the North entrance, but far enough from the crowds and congestion of Canyon and Mammoth. Yellowstone is a big park and this was a nice home base for three days, particularly for the activities and sightseeing around the northern "half" of the Grand Loop. The cabin is well maintained and clean. It had more than enough space for us - 2 adults and 1 teen - inside with two bedrooms, each with two queen beds, and two bathrooms. The washer and dryer was certainly handy for us on our two week trip. Having a full kitchen also saved us time and money as we prepared breakfast daily and one dinner (dinners out at the Beartooth Cafe in Cooke City and The Raven in Gardiner). Seeing and hearing the river flow by and the Montana "big sky" at night was great. The rabbits out front were an unexpected treat in "wildlife" viewing in addition to the pronghorn we saw along "Old Yellowstone Road". "Old Yellowstone Road" is not paved, but was in very good condition. There's parking right outside the "back" door as well as a parking pad next to the cabin.

Thanks for sharing your lovely cabin with us. It was really comfy - a home away from home! Wonderful to be so close to the Park - we saw lots of elk in Mammoth and many bison on the way back from Yellowston Canyon which was awesome! Thank you, Jayne, Kumar, Meghara and Sunyar

Kierin and Ron, Thank you for making our stay at your beautiful and scenic cabin so comfortable and war. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and found are time spent on the porch, listening to the river water flowing by as one of the hightlights of our almost two week trip exploring Glacier National Park and the Greater Yellowstone area. After long day trips into the Park your cabin was the ideal place for us to relax, unwind and enjoy the beauty around here. Thaks for sharing this with us and we will always have the lovely memories for time spent here as a family (our parents who are visiting from India). We rafted down the Yellowstone River and saw the cabin from the raft. A herd of Pronghorn were in the area and a joy to see every evening. We hope to come back again in the future. Please give us a call when you are in the Twin Cities. Anant and Anubha, Plymouth MN

Thanks for such a comfy cabin. It was great to come back to after a long day of sight seeing in the two Parks. We think we saw most every kind of animal - moose (in the Tetons), black bear, grizzly bear, bison, big horn sheep, wolf, coyote, pronghorn, elk, deer, eagle and pelicans. The rivers were very high so the guys didn't fish here. They fished in the Park and caught little ones. We loved the time spent on the back patio as we listened to the river each evening. Took a raft trip down the Yellowstone River (and went by the cabin) with Flying Pig outfitters. Kids jumped in for a few minutes and thought it was too cool even with wet suits on! We appreciated the use of the washer and dryer. Thanks for adding to our great vacation. Jon and Amy Rahn, Andrew 14 and Alaina 11, Pella Iowa

Kierin and Ron, We have very much enjoyed staying a while in your cabin. It could not have been more comfortable. It has given us the rare opportunity to visit many parts of the Park that we may not otherwise have experienced. The cabin is a perfect setting to return after a long day driving and hiking around the Park. We feel priviledged to have had this experience and we thank you for sharing this place with us. We have memories to treasure for a lifetime. David and Steve Mason, Alturas, CA

Thanks for a wonderful stay - the cabin was perfect. Started out with a "day of rest" after 4 days of driving and multiple stops, then 2 days in the Park and ending with a "Saddle-Paddle" trip. Could have used 1 more day to do the pools at Chico Hot Springs - my body is way too old for horse back riding!! Will definitely recommend your cabin to any of our friends and family. Ron and Kierin, The cabin was great! It was clean and comfortable. Yellowstone was better than expected. We saw lots of bison. Some were walking down the road beside our van. Also saw moose 3 times, a large black bear, herds of elk, 1 coyote and 1 wolf. We also saw several Pronghorn antelope. Our family went horseback riding in the Park at Roosevelt. 2 hour ride and rode 8 miles. It was awesome!!! We saw deer and buffalo on the ride. Thanks for a great vacation!!! Ron and Kierin, Cabin is excellent. It had everything we needed. Kids were very happy with the cabin, the location, comfy beds, soft couch, ice maker and little trains in your domino set. Adults were happy to feel "at home". Yellowstone was awesome. We saw Grizzly feasting on bison, saw bison from 10 ft., osprey with fish in claws and Big Horn sheep dropping rocks on cars. My 4 yrs old can now say hydrogen sulfide! Thanks for the wonderful and memorable stay! Sam, Su, Jean, Scott and Danny Roseville, CA

Ron and Kierin, We very much enjoyed our "brief" stay here. It is so convenient to the Park and cozy and clean. It was perfect for our needs. Had close encounters (in Yellowstone Park) with bison (arms reach), Prong Horn (25 yds), elk (so many we stopped stopping), Black bear (across the road 50 ft), and even a Grizzly bear with cubs. Osprey, sheep, eagle, Sand Hill crane, and a lone coyote around the Park. Even got lucky and saw Old Faithful and Bee Hive geysers within a few minutes of each other. Had a blast, thank you, The Taunts Grand Rapids, MI

An awesome vacation!!! We had everything we needed right here in the cabin and so close to everything. We saw everything from bears to eagles to moose to bison. Don't skip Lamar Valley. Lots of wildlife. For it being July 4th weekend, there was no traffic. We did the Flying Pig rafting trip right here in Gardiner. It was great. Our tour guide was Jeb. Lots of fun. Class 1-3 rapids. Good for novice through those who love adventure. If you get a chance to go on the 34 foot cabin cruiser (Chris Craft) with Bill on Yellowstone Lake, he'll show you all of the eagle's nests and tell you all the good old stories. He's a hoot! Dear Ron and Kierin, The cabin was wonderful! The kids had a great time and Kristin and I appreciated the feeling at home at the end of every long day. The Park was awesome - we saw almost every large animal (except a moose) and hiked all over the Park. (our 8 yr old even made it up and down Mt. Washburn!) We definitely had a vacation to remember. Thanks for everything! The Hoekzemas, St. Louis, MO
