Where do I begin? This was my 6th time celebrating my birthday in montego bay, Jamaica. I have stayed at the Ritz Carlton, Sunset Beach Resort, Sandals, Jewels Dunn River Falls Resort and Couples Swept Away. Out of all of these resorts, renting this beautiful villa at the calapso shores was by far the best stay I have ever had! I can't say enough about this property. This gated property is owned by marcel readied, who is a pleasure to do business with. It is located in the most wealthiest community in montego bay. It is 12 mins from the airport, which you will love. It is such a beautiful mansion on the ocean. The house has 4 bedrooms. 2 bedrooms have a balcony that overlooks the ocean. Absolutely stunning each morning you wake up. The house is decorated to the finest, with a winding staircase to the upstairs. The outside is the most gorgeous area. You will spend all got time Here. The Gardner will work the whole time tending to lawn and grounds. The property has the most beautifulist outside area. The lawn looks like it has been combed with a pick. It is just that perfect. The pool is stunning. You will have your own cook, made, butler and Gardner. If you want a massage, you can request it everyday. I had a massage 2 times a day. Wonderful! The food was 200% perfect. The salads were the best I have ever had. The dinners were 5 star with fancy everything!!!!! I love this place. I am from Nashville, Tn. And we stayed for 5 days. I only recommend to stay longer. At least 7 days. We did not want to leave. I celebrated my birthday and the butler made if a very extravagant night. There were flowers and candles through the whole house. Wedding/Week Long Family Vacation!!

My husband and I came across this villa when we were starting to plan our destination wedding for March 2011 and thought it would be perfect...and it was exactly that. All of the pictures listed for this villa are gorgeous, but let me tell you...this property is even more unbelieveable in person. All of the rooms were exactly like they were pictured, the pool and outside were beautiful (and where we ended up spending most of our time). The staff...they became our family. They were all so friendly and accomodating! Arlene always had a smile on her face and was in the kitchen cooking. She was not bothered by us constantly asking questions about the food. Odie was always at our beck and call with drinks (and trust me we went through a lot of drinks!) On the day of our wedding we had hired a wedding planner, but our wedding dinner was being put on at the villa. The staff dressed up in their best, covered the tables with white linen and made some of the best food both families had ever had. All the meals served at the villa were excellent (and always served with a smile!) This was definitely the best vacation I had ever been on in my life (and not just because it was my wedding). My husband and I are even planning a trip to go back within the next year. I strongly recommend this villa!!

Beautifully maintianed property. The staff is excellant.The creativeity of the meals were awsome. Very friendly and obliging staff. We were spoilt beyond our imagination. The beach is clean and so is the pool. You dont need a car if you arrange with the owner for reccomantdation for transportaton. Very kid friendly. Safe neighborhood. Close to public beach--- Captains cove. I would highly recommend this property. The internet description is very accurate.

OH MY GOSH!!!!! What a fantastic place the Calypso Shores villa was! Our family had the best vacation ever and we have been to a lot of places in the Caribbean and this one is tops. The bay that we were on was beautiful and just behind us on the peninsula was the open sea. We had our own Hobie catamaran sailboat, 2 two person kayaks and we kept them going a lot! We had our own personal pool too but the best was the full staff. We loved them! Odie was the butler and he was top notch! Arlene was our chef and did she ever cook us some wonderful meals. There is no way you could have found a restaurant with better food anywhere. We had 4 course meals every evening and they were presented as beautifully as what a classy restaurant would have done. The food presentation was exquisite! We had jerk chicken, lobster, shrimp and pasta, red snapper, fresh coconut pie, bananas flambé and some of the best soups and salads as well as wonderful breakfasts of fresh fruit each morning followed by either bacon and eggs, banana pancakes, French toast or omelettes. Kerine our housekeeper and laundress kept the villa spotless and our laundry washed each day. Leo our groundskeeper was so sweet and friendly and had a smile every morning while doing the pool, maintenance on the landscaping (which was breath taking!) and cleaning the beachfront. The villa was the most beautiful one we have ever stayed in and so far we have been in 8 villas throughout the Caribbean. It was a very well thought out floor plan and accommodating to guests and their privacy. Each bedroom had its own en suite bathroom and it was so quiet. The outdoor covered veranda or patio was where we spent most of our time as the outdoor furnishings were sooooo comfortable. We ate every meal outdoors on the patio taking in the beautiful bay and mountains on the opposite side and at night the lights reflected on the water and were a beautiful backdrop to our dinners. I am telling you the food, the villa, the scenery and the top notch service we had there, you can’t find just anywhere. We hated it the days that we had to eat away from the villa. The staff were so incredible and leaving them was so hard .The Calypso Shores is such a great place to reconnect with your family. We have made wonderful memories, had lots of good laughs, and spent quality time together that we will never forget. I traveled to the villa May 11th to May 18th, 2010. Just came back. The villa actually looks better then the pictures. The pictures make the place look more indutrial and less 'pleasant' then it really is. The description was accurate with one exception, the gym is not really usuable, it is down the street in a small building which is neither AC and is very poorly maintained. The rest - was PERFECT. The people at the villa (Odi the butler and Arlene the cook especially) are wounderful, in a way we enjoyed them as much as the place. The food was great, the property is in perfect condition, the pool and the beach are a pleasure and we enjoyed every minute of our week there. Internet connection is a bit slow, the living room is a bit hot at night, mosquitos are a nuisance in the early evening and it is HOT ... and if that is what you are complaining about when you are in Jamaica then you are having a nice vacation. We will go back.

I stayed 1 week at Calypso Shores from Aug 30 - Sep 6, 2009. I stayed there with my 2 kids and husband, my mom and brother. It was absolutely wonderful. The pictures really don't do this home much justice. We were welcomed warmly by the staff. The home was spotless and extremely accommodating. Arlene the cook was excellent and every meal was delicious. Keriene kept everything spotless and this was the first vacation I came back from with all my laundry already done for me. Odion the butler was always ready to please and was always very warm. Dadz's the gardener is the best at what he does and kept the grounds immaculate. The staff really made a huge difference for our trip and we had a ball. We would and will go back again and again. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone.

Just returned from Calypso Shores. We travel A LOT and found this villa particularly luxurious and unique. Rather than the all inclusive route - we chose this villa and are glad we did. The best part is the staff of 4. Their professionalism and warmth made us feel at home by the end of the first day. Great location, great property. We recently returned(8/2/08) from the most wonderful villa vacation at Calypso Shores. The villa is absolutely beautiful. Our group rated everything from location, views, meal preparation, transportion, and staff a big 5 stars. Arlene's cooking is so good we never went out for dinner. No need to stay at a resort or book tours because this villa, staff, and driver have it all covered. If you are looking for a Island paradise vacation, please book this villa. You will not be disappointed!
