A truly fantastic vacation property. What you see is what you get in the Pics. The Master is enormous (we had the pack n play set up in the huge closet area) and felt like our daughter was in a different room. The staff was EXCELLENT !!! Odie & Arlene made a long lasting impression on us all. We were 3 families, each with children ranging between 1-5 yrs old, and everyone had their fill of fun. From the private beach to the nightly meals on the lanai, with the moon shining over the bay, we were truly spoiled !!! We would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks to Marcel, the owner, for making this a special experience for us all.

First, I should mention how easy Marcel is to deal with. He answered every question quickly and was always so very pleasant. We spent a week there with our adult children and grandchildren (9 months and 3 years) and everyone had a great time. Our grandson was in the pool or on the beach every day, actually, we all were! The villa was every bit as beautiful as the pictures - the views, spectacular! As for the staff, we were so very well cared for - Arlene cooked whatever we asked for, Odion was a perfect gentleman, anticipating our needs perfectly. Our laundry was done, the villa was kept spotless, and the grounds were constantly being groomed. I should also mention, Marcel recommended a day trip to Negril, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We even got to watch our son and daughter-in-law dive off a cliff! A perfect week for all of us!

We chose this villa as the 40th bday spot for 4 couples. We had no idea what a surprise and treat we were in for. While the property is phenominal -and it is truly beautiful, relaxing and comfortable, the staff make this villa and vacation so memorable. For a week we were spoiled by Arlene, Odie, Kerin and Dadz. We felt like part of their family and were taken care of like part of their family. The villa is awesome but the staff are beyond belief. We were truly spoiled by everyone and are grateful to them for their kindness, generosity and spirit. Such a wonderful time, book this villa, you will not be disappointed. We hope to go back!

Another memorable week of being spoilt by the wonderful staff. The fresh food and the exotic meals were to die for. Lobsters caught the same day were so sweet and meaty. The grand babies didnt want to leave Calypso shores and cried again all the way to the airport. Ken the driver took us to Doctor cove almost daily. Wonderful place to go to enjoy the beach with a picnic lunch which was packed for us by the staff or purchase food there. My husband and I would have been quitecontent to stay at the villa.Very relaxing atmosphere and be spoilt by the staff. This is the place to come to if you want to be spoilt and to relax. The villa is immaculately clean and very safe in the affluent gated community. We hope to go again in 2013.

In addition to the rave reviews already posted, I'd like to mention a few additional items. First, the owner, Marcel, was very involved and helpful with quite a number of difficulties we had and is a hidden asset of the rental. We also found our driver, Ray, to be a guide and skillfully navigated us around the island. One of our party said: "Arlene in particular was amazing, working to provide fresh, authentic and local farm truck to Calypso kitchen custom made meals-to-order. And she was very kind to let me tag along to the fish, meat, vegetable, beef pattie, fruit and money exchange markets, selecting produce for the gang and possibly, a husband for my third child…" The huge lanai is a great way to be outdoors without being in the sun. For me, the toys, the sailboat, kayaks, "ladder" game, etc were a real bonus.

Thank you for the wonderful home, great atmosphere, and awesome service that was provided. It as better than the pictures we saw online. The views of the bay are spectacular. We had no need leaving the property as we enjoyed the privacy. The Hobie sail boat was a very nice treat. We sailed 5 of the 7 days we were there. Couldnt have asked for a more perfect place for our honeymoon. Thanks Marcel for a great place and awesome staff. We will be back!!

Where do I begin? This was my 6th time celebrating my birthday in montego bay, Jamaica. I have stayed at the Ritz Carlton, Sunset Beach Resort, Sandals, Jewels Dunn River Falls Resort and Couples Swept Away. Out of all of these resorts, renting this beautiful villa at the calapso shores was by far the best stay I have ever had! I can't say enough about this property. This gated property is owned by marcel readied, who is a pleasure to do business with. It is located in the most wealthiest community in montego bay. It is 12 mins from the airport, which you will love. It is such a beautiful mansion on the ocean. The house has 4 bedrooms. 2 bedrooms have a balcony that overlooks the ocean. Absolutely stunning each morning you wake up. The house is decorated to the finest, with a winding staircase to the upstairs. The outside is the most gorgeous area. You will spend all got time Here. The Gardner will work the whole time tending to lawn and grounds. The property has the most beautifulist outside area. The lawn looks like it has been combed with a pick. It is just that perfect. The pool is stunning. You will have your own cook, made, butler and Gardner. If you want a massage, you can request it everyday. I had a massage 2 times a day. Wonderful! The food was 200% perfect. The salads were the best I have ever had. The dinners were 5 star with fancy everything!!!!! I love this place. I am from Nashville, Tn. And we stayed for 5 days. I only recommend to stay longer. At least 7 days. We did not want to leave. I celebrated my birthday and the butler made if a very extravagant night. There were flowers and candles through the whole house. Wedding/Week Long Family Vacation!!

My husband and I came across this villa when we were starting to plan our destination wedding for March 2011 and thought it would be perfect...and it was exactly that. All of the pictures listed for this villa are gorgeous, but let me tell you...this property is even more unbelieveable in person. All of the rooms were exactly like they were pictured, the pool and outside were beautiful (and where we ended up spending most of our time). The staff...they became our family. They were all so friendly and accomodating! Arlene always had a smile on her face and was in the kitchen cooking. She was not bothered by us constantly asking questions about the food. Odie was always at our beck and call with drinks (and trust me we went through a lot of drinks!) On the day of our wedding we had hired a wedding planner, but our wedding dinner was being put on at the villa. The staff dressed up in their best, covered the tables with white linen and made some of the best food both families had ever had. All the meals served at the villa were excellent (and always served with a smile!) This was definitely the best vacation I had ever been on in my life (and not just because it was my wedding). My husband and I are even planning a trip to go back within the next year. I strongly recommend this villa!!

Beautifully maintianed property. The staff is excellant.The creativeity of the meals were awsome. Very friendly and obliging staff. We were spoilt beyond our imagination. The beach is clean and so is the pool. You dont need a car if you arrange with the owner for reccomantdation for transportaton. Very kid friendly. Safe neighborhood. Close to public beach--- Captains cove. I would highly recommend this property. The internet description is very accurate.

OH MY GOSH!!!!! What a fantastic place the Calypso Shores villa was! Our family had the best vacation ever and we have been to a lot of places in the Caribbean and this one is tops. The bay that we were on was beautiful and just behind us on the peninsula was the open sea. We had our own Hobie catamaran sailboat, 2 two person kayaks and we kept them going a lot! We had our own personal pool too but the best was the full staff. We loved them! Odie was the butler and he was top notch! Arlene was our chef and did she ever cook us some wonderful meals. There is no way you could have found a restaurant with better food anywhere. We had 4 course meals every evening and they were presented as beautifully as what a classy restaurant would have done. The food presentation was exquisite! We had jerk chicken, lobster, shrimp and pasta, red snapper, fresh coconut pie, bananas flambé and some of the best soups and salads as well as wonderful breakfasts of fresh fruit each morning followed by either bacon and eggs, banana pancakes, French toast or omelettes. Kerine our housekeeper and laundress kept the villa spotless and our laundry washed each day. Leo our groundskeeper was so sweet and friendly and had a smile every morning while doing the pool, maintenance on the landscaping (which was breath taking!) and cleaning the beachfront. The villa was the most beautiful one we have ever stayed in and so far we have been in 8 villas throughout the Caribbean. It was a very well thought out floor plan and accommodating to guests and their privacy. Each bedroom had its own en suite bathroom and it was so quiet. The outdoor covered veranda or patio was where we spent most of our time as the outdoor furnishings were sooooo comfortable. We ate every meal outdoors on the patio taking in the beautiful bay and mountains on the opposite side and at night the lights reflected on the water and were a beautiful backdrop to our dinners. I am telling you the food, the villa, the scenery and the top notch service we had there, you can’t find just anywhere. We hated it the days that we had to eat away from the villa. The staff were so incredible and leaving them was so hard .The Calypso Shores is such a great place to reconnect with your family. We have made wonderful memories, had lots of good laughs, and spent quality time together that we will never forget. I traveled to the villa May 11th to May 18th, 2010. Just came back. The villa actually looks better then the pictures. The pictures make the place look more indutrial and less 'pleasant' then it really is. The description was accurate with one exception, the gym is not really usuable, it is down the street in a small building which is neither AC and is very poorly maintained. The rest - was PERFECT. The people at the villa (Odi the butler and Arlene the cook especially) are wounderful, in a way we enjoyed them as much as the place. The food was great, the property is in perfect condition, the pool and the beach are a pleasure and we enjoyed every minute of our week there. Internet connection is a bit slow, the living room is a bit hot at night, mosquitos are a nuisance in the early evening and it is HOT ... and if that is what you are complaining about when you are in Jamaica then you are having a nice vacation. We will go back.

I stayed 1 week at Calypso Shores from Aug 30 - Sep 6, 2009. I stayed there with my 2 kids and husband, my mom and brother. It was absolutely wonderful. The pictures really don't do this home much justice. We were welcomed warmly by the staff. The home was spotless and extremely accommodating. Arlene the cook was excellent and every meal was delicious. Keriene kept everything spotless and this was the first vacation I came back from with all my laundry already done for me. Odion the butler was always ready to please and was always very warm. Dadz's the gardener is the best at what he does and kept the grounds immaculate. The staff really made a huge difference for our trip and we had a ball. We would and will go back again and again. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone.

We recently returned(8/2/08) from the most wonderful villa vacation at Calypso Shores. The villa is absolutely beautiful. Our group rated everything from location, views, meal preparation, transportion, and staff a big 5 stars. Arlene's cooking is so good we never went out for dinner. No need to stay at a resort or book tours because this villa, staff, and driver have it all covered. If you are looking for a Island paradise vacation, please book this villa. You will not be disappointed!

We just returned from a glorious week at Calypso shores. The place is maintained very well and the staff is fantastic and they are eagerly waiting to spoil you. The food is awesome all created on the premesis- from the main course to dessert and not forgetting all the fresh fruit smoothies. Calypso Shores is absolutely "heaven". The villa is even more than the description and the pictures portray. The decor and furnishings are designer level and extremely professional. The grounds are like your own private park. The creme de la creme is the fabulous staff and not only their superb service, but their overwhelming personalities. Arlene, what can I say !! Your cooking is something to die for. Odie,you were there to meet our every need. Don't forget those moves on the dance floor that we shared also. Korin and Dadz kept the place looking immaculate inside and out. I have not seen beds made so tight since my days in the military. Our group were overwhelmed with the feeling we were treated like family. This was our third visit to Jamaica, while the rest of our party was making their first visit. Everyone agreed that our ten day stay was one of the best vacations we have ever had. That's after traveling throughout the Caribbean, Mexico, Hawaii, US and Canada. I only hope that we can return soon to see my newly adopted "cousin" Arlene Moore. Love and blessings to all the staff. They are the best !!!

Oh my gosh!!!!!!!!! I can't even begin to tell you about the time we spent at Calypso Shores! Every single thing was exactly as I pictured it. The house is beautiful! From the time we arrived, the house and the staff just welcomed us. Every detail seemed to have been carefully thought out. All of the guest rooms were just lovely. The linens, towels, and home-like set up made each couple very comfortable. We took all of our meals outside on the lanai. Arleen outdid herself preparing vegetarian meals for us each day. The food was simply amazing! Odion truly made us feel as though it was his sheer delight to please us. Korin made sure our rooms were sparkling every day, and Dadz worked diligently and quietly around the yard making everything beautiful. All of the members of our group are very well traveled people. Most of us have vacationed in the caribbean, Paris, London, Spain, Italy and other places in the world. But after spending five days at Calypso Shores, we all agreed it was the best vacation any of us had ever had! Now that's saying something! The villa exceeded our expectations. Everything was wonderful and the staff was outstanding. Every little detail was attended to. We had 8 people in our party and we were all taken care of. Arlene's cooking was amazing, some of the best grouper, red snapper, key lime pie, greens, conch, etc... I've ever had! Absolutely a beautiful property with exceptional staff. Arlene, Dadz and Kerine provided 5* service. Raldane is the best driver on the island - he can get you anything and everywhere. A massage by Dawn is a luxury. You can't go wrong here. No problem - only situations.

I just returned from this magnificent villa. This was my 7th time in Jamaica and by far the best!!! Everything is beautiful in the house. From the bed lines, towels, dishes and all the accessories in the house. The staff is wonderful. Arlene and the others are so nice! All they want to do is please you. It was quite a vacation! And don't forget to request a massage with Dawn. It is an experience in itself! We felt like we were in the French Rivera. I can't wait to return.

We can't say enough how wonderful our stay was at Calypso Shores. The house was gorgeous, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the location...WOW, what a view! We were extremely impressed with how well appointed the house was. No detail was overlooked; from the artwork, to the sailing and acquatic equipment, to the pool-side loungers, to the wine chiller! And Arlene's cooking was to die for...abosolutely delicious. We will definately be returning again next year!
