If you enjoy a camp retreat or an old-fashioned get-away, fishing (NC largest bass on record caught in 2009 on Lake Osceola), hiking trails close by, nature and the outdoors, then this is the perfect place for you.
The Mountain Lake Inn is a place where you can come to relax and find peace in today’s hectic world. Take time to get up early in the morning and enjoy a sunrise or let the mist on the lake take your breath away.
Our cottage rooms are all attached and look out on beautiful Lake Osceola. Each cottage has an open floor plan consisting of a bedroom, kitchen, living and dining room area with a separate bathroom. Some of the cottages connect to make a two bedroom two bathroom unit.
They are rustic, charming and romantic. Our eleven vintage camp retreat style cottages built in the 1930’s as a summer camp, surround the Leoni families summer residence.
The Large Family Home is also part of the package. The family home boasts five bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs and an open plan living, family and dining room with a gas log fireplace downstairs. A large porch with ceiling fans and rocking chairs has a magnificent view of Lake Osceola and is a perfect place to sit and relax. Plenty of space to gather.
There is a 1.6 mile road following the shoreline to walk or explore around the lake. Don't forget your fishing pole as you may fish in the lake as often as they wish, but a NC license is required. You can also swim in the lake or take advantage of the paddle boats and kayaks at no additional charge. (seasonal)
Being only minutes from Main Street in Hendersonville, you will be able to take advantage of all this charming historic town has to offer. Enjoy browsing our boutiques, antiquing or live music on Main Street. There are plenty of locally owned restaurants to choose from for your dining experience.
It's a great place to book a family reunion, couples retreat or for wedding accommodation. We can accommodate up to 37 people. Minimum 3 nights.
Asheville, Brevard and Chimney Rock are all a short drive away.

Our room was very clean and we really loved the location. The lake is right across the street and can be seen from most the rooms I think. We could see from cottage 6. It was fun taking the canoe out and feeding the ducks. A lot of people walked their dogs around the lake or rode bikes. It's a pretty good place for that, but you should be aware the 1.6 mile loop around the lake is a road with traffic. We thought it was going to be like a greenway with no cars. We really had a nice stay and hope to be back. You just can't beat the price for all that you get and we slept great on the king bed.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

It was like the movie "planes trains and automobiles" to get here. Cancelled flights, wrong rental car. fender bender while getting coffee this morning. But once I got here I did not care that the clocks were wrong as time stopped! Cottages right on the lake. Very clean and comfortable. Lake is gorgeous and lots of fun to swim and play in. Had a great time, and would recommend this property to anyone!! About the owner: Todd Leoni is the owner of the Mountain Lake Inn. I am in the real estate business and bought it as our family summer home and eventually plan to retire to the area. It is a very special place for me and my family and the home is a very cozy one that will make you feel like you are back in a slower life. Come stay at our little slice of heaven. Its like none other.
Why the Owner Chose Hendersonville:
This Lake and property was the site of my old Summer Camp and always had a connection with the lake and property as a child as some of the best summers of my life were here and still are. The only difference is that now I am 30 years older and my children are enjoying it as well.

Staying at the Mountain Lake Inn makes you feel like you are far away from civilization. The Lake is viewable from just about every part of the property. Once around the lake is 1.6 miles. Downtown is less than 2 miles or a 3 minute drive to every convenience and amenity. Its the best of both worlds.
