This two bedroom, one and a half bath chalet is perched atop Ledford Branch Falls, offering amazing waterfall views from it's extensive network of decking. Relax on the decks and enjoy the sound of rushing water cascading over the rocks, or for a true sense of refreshment, dip your toes in the cool, pure mountain water in the natural bathing pool at the base of the falls! The waterfall is fully illuminated with landscape lighting to provide dramatic night-time views as well. This cabin is the perfect home base for the outdoor enthusiast. Hiking trails wind through the five acre property and trout fishing in the rushing creek above and below the falls is top-notch.
This two bedroom mountain retreat is fully equipped with every amenity to ensure your visit is comfortable and carefree. Amenities include a very cozy stone fireplace with gas logs, rustic and relaxed furnishings, a loft style master suite upstairs, Direct Satellite TV, telephone, linens, a full size laundry room, a complete equipped kitchen and covered parking. Pets are welcome, but due to the steep decking and very large 60 plus foot waterfall on the property, young children are discouraged.

The Unique Benefits at this Chalet
We love to grill out on the deck and listen to the rushing waterfall!
Owner's Map of Franklin
I bought this cabin in 2003 with my family for our perfect mountain retreat from the long, hot Savannah GA summers! My wife and I often bring our two dogs, Ginger the bassett and Rodeo the lab, with us to the cabin and they love running and playing at the base of the waterfall. This picture is of us on the deck. We think this is one of the most relaxing places -- to leave the doors and windows open at night and hear the rush of the waterfall is one of my greatest joys! We are thrilled to be able to share our special place with family, friends and guests and hope you love the waterfall cabin as much as we do!

Our month at the Waterfall Cabin was the most relaxing ever. Also, best money we’ve ever spent on a vacation. Clean, comfortable, peaceful, restful…carefree. Cullasaja Gorge and River are beautiful. Our first experience with VRBO; exceeded all expectations. Thank you for sharing the cabin with us.

It was cold when we were there this January but we enjoyed the fireplace and the waterfall looked so pretty with icicles on it. It even snowed! We are from S Florida so it was a real winter wonderland for me and my wife. We brought our silkshire terrier and she liked playin in the snow. Not a lot of stores/restaurants open in Highlands this time of year, so we did a lot of cookin at the house. It had everything we needed and Bryson's in Highlands is a nice grocery. We think we would like to come back at leaf season. This place is real nice, especially for the money.

This cabin was inviting from the minute we drove up and saw it. It's nestled next to a really cool waterfall that my English Bulldog loved. He liked digging for the rocks under the water fall, go figure! It was so easy to cook in the cabin, stores are not far - as well as restaurants. Took a drive to the top of the mountain where there is a very nice lake. Also a very nice drive to The Highlands. Can't wait to go back!!!!!!!!!!!

Can only say I am a fool for not renting this sooner than I did! From the moment we got to the Waterfall House it was like turning the world and all the problems of the modern age off. We grilled out on the deck just about every meal and the sound of the waterfall is a constant reminder of the good life. The property was loaded with wildlife and great paths and the fishing was superb. We will be back next summer. Thanks so much, Julian Palms

What a treat. We met the owners here in Savannah and they told us we would love it and we did. We grilled on the deck and put our feet in the water. It was great and a very nice change of pace. We thought it was a perfect home base to go around to Highlands and Cashiers, and up the road on Walnut Creek is Lake Glenville where we went swimming. Can't wait to go again.
