This beautifully remodeled 2700 square foot, 3 story home offers everything you need for a relaxing tahoe vacation.
In this townhome style home, there are 4 bedrooms, each with its own bath, offering plenty of privacy for multiple families or couples. The cozy top floor has a living room with fireplace and a large deck offering filtered views of Lake Tahoe and the homeowner beach. Also, there is a kitchen with dry bar, a large master suite (king bed) with jetted jacuzzi tub and romantic fireplace, as well as a separate bath with a two person shower. There is also another large sunny deck off the master bedroom.
The middle floor is the entry floor, and has a two car garage, foyer with laundry (with full size washer and dryer) as well as the "junior master suite" (bedroom [queen bed] with en-suite large bathroom), and a third bedroom (queen bed) and a third bathroom.
The ground floor has a small rear deck leading to a private hot tub. It also has a very private, attached mother in law unit. This unit has a convenient kitchenette, large living area/play room with double size convertable futon, full bathroom with shower, and a separate bedroom with king bed.
We are located just minutes from Heavenly Nevada base or Gondola! Also, this unique location provides easy access to Kirkwood, Sierra, Mt. Rose, Diamond Peak, and North Shore resorts as well!
This property is very kid friendly, with lots of kid's toys, safety gates, and play yard available. The home is stocked with lots of beach towels, umbrellas, chairs, sand toys, and a wagon to cart it all down to the beach in! We also have a paddle boat that we keep at the beach in the summer that our guests are welcome to use. The private, uncrowded homeowners beach is just a short walk through this exclusive neighborhood (No big or busy roads to deal with!)known as Marla Bay.
This home has a very small back yard which is finished with trex decking providing a picnic area and an upper deck with a sunken in hot tub.
Across the street is a "wine country cuisine" restaurant as well as a fun, beachy, bar and grill. The supermarket is a short (1-2 mile) drive. Zephyr Cove beach resort, the casino's, and Heavenly with it's gondola and village with fine dining and shopping are all minutes away! This is a place you'll want to return to time and time again! We choose Marla Bay because of the beach and neighborhood feel. It is very rare in Tahoe to have such a lovely, unspoiled private beach.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We love coming up for relaxing family time. With young children, it is so convenient to be able to walk down to the beach, play all day, and go back and forth to the house if you need.
We also love walking across the street to Sam's bar and grill and sitting outside and enjoying a casual dinner while our kids play horseshoes, ping pong or board games.
It is also wonderful to enjoy the world class night life South Lake Tahoe offers. Fine dining, casinos, great live music.
We also love to go for evening "wine walks" around the neighborhood, greeting friends, old and new, and enjoying the spectacular Tahoe sunsets.

We had a great time at the "beach house". The owners are great to work with and the house is set up perfectly. Would work well for a couple of families or in our case plenty of room to give the kids their own space with the bottom floor, bedroom, living room, mini-kitchen setup. Also nice having two master bedrooms. The deck was great for barbecuing, and the house is fully stocked with beach toys, umbrella's etc. An easy walk to the quiet homeowners beach, and very convenient to the casino's and South Lake Tahoe activities. If relaxing is your goal I would recommend you try out this house.

The Pharris House at Marla Bay in Zephyr Cove is ideal for a relaxing, romatic getaway or activity filled family vacation. The large jacuzzi tub by a fireplace in the Master Suite is charming, the toys and play areas are plentiful for kids, and the best dining ambiance is out on the upper level deck. With sleeping quarters on all three levels, even a house full offers a sense of privacy. I highly recommend a stay here

We had a great time! The house comfortably accommodated 4 adults and 4 kids. The kids loved the toy selection and the fact that we were a short walk to the nearest beach. The supermarket and restaurants were all conveniently located and the casinos close enough for a night out! The house was great and we would definitely recommend it.

Thank you for such a nice home to stay in for my families Thanksgiving in Tahoe. Your house conveniently fit three couples with kids. There was a lot of privacy with the different levels and all the kid-friendly items you had for us made it very easy packing. The walk to the beach was short and simple. We loved it and will definately like to stay again

Our stay was extremely nice. The house was very comfortable giving us the ability to gather and socialize but allowing the younger generations to retreat to their own space. As we hoped it easily accomodated 3 couples and some drop in friends. It was exceptionaly easy to communicate with the owner who was very responsive to my questions and a couple of requests. I would not hesitate to stay again.

This home was perfect for our family getaway. It was so nice to not have to bring our own toys/entertainment for the children and we really appreciated the portable crib that was available for our infant daughter. The house is in a really convenient location. A short walk to a private beach. Minutes from the supermarket and casinos and across the street from a nice bar & grill. Thanks for the wonderful time!

Dear Nita, Our family loved your vacation home in Marla Bay. Your home is so child-friendly and we had a great time using your wagon to haul the beach stuff. Our children had fun and we had a chance to spend quality "family time" together. Thank you so much for all your all your suggestions about restaurants and things to do. Nathan ( 4.5 years old) caught his first fishes at the trout farm and we had them for dinner one night. Katie, our 1.5 year old, enjoyed playing in the sand. We now have wonderful video footage and great memories! Hope all is well with you and your family. You are probably just settling into your families new schedules now that school has started again. This home was perfect for my brothers family, my family and my Dad to all fit and have our own bathrooms and space for the kids. The walk to the beach was a couple of minutes and the kids loved that. I would recommend this house highly and since I booked it with out the rest of my family members seeing it I was pleased that they were very delighted.

My family of four stayed at this very nice property for three weeks in July 2006. The house is in very good shape and is well maintained by the owner. It is very close to a great private beach and the owner provided a handy beach cart and other beach items that really made our stay enjoyable. The owner was easy to work with. I highly recommend it! Enjoy!
