The cabin is situated well off the main road in a 6 acre forest. The living room has a wood-burning fireplace, and there are two bedrooms in the main cabin one with a Queen bed and one with two twin beds.
Lounge on the large wrap around sun deck overlooking the lake. Lay back and watch the boats go by and the amazing sunsets.
Your own Private wharf. The lake is suited for fishing, swimming and water sports during the summer.
Listen to the water lapping against the shore right under the Cabana (a detached three sided covered sleeping Cabana /Bunkie). Open facing the lake. (see aerial photo) A great place for afternoon naps away from the world.
Close to many local attractions: hiking, mountain climbing, golf, horseback riding, Lake and Ocean fishing, casual and fine dining at area resorts and local restaurants.

Five generations grew up spending their summers here. We have enjoyed many special occasions from weddings, anniversaries and birthday celebrations throughout the years.
Why the Owner Chose Shawnigan Lake
Family Owned since 1904. Originally purchased by our great grandfather Reverand Clay for his daughter Margaret Clay to recover from TB in a mountain setting.

I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had at your cabin. We are originally from Manitoba and hanging out on the dock at Shawnigan took us down memory lane of hot summers at the lake. Thanks for the memories!

We had an awesome time in June and would like to repeat for next year however a couple of questions... Are there any other dates available? We would like to stay for two weeks. Any chances of that? The place is brilliant and thoughtfully set up and we'd like to make this a regular summer destination we would like to lock in a yearly trip and dates. Let me know! Thanks!

We all had such a wonderful stay at the cabin. We had the best of weather (perhaps for the entire month) and appreciated having such a beautiful spot to relax for a couple of days. We surely hope to be back. I'll make sure to plan ahead the next time. We were very lucky to find an opening. The deck, by the way, with the closed sides was so perfect for our dogs. They were happy to romp in the lake (VERY) but when we were not with them there it was perfect to keep them tucked around us and still be outside listening to the birds. Thanks for providing such a wonderful spot!
