Why the Owner Chose Traverse City
We purchased our Chalet about ten years ago. We had stayed on many lakes in Northern Michigan, but found Spider Lake to be the most enjoyable of all. It has many finger (bays) off the main lake. We wanted to find a quiet place without neighbors in a bay. Did not want speed boats going by constantly. We are in a no wake zone and it is so private. We love this lake because there are huge sand islands to take the boat to and dock. We stay there sometimes all day. Lots of people enjoy visiting the island, the kids and adults love it. You can walk totally around the whole island (water up to your knee). We play games sometimes all day out there. The nice thing about that, is we have the privacy but can take the boat out at anytime to a sandy beach and cruise the lake. We have stayed at many places before on 75Ft. waterfrontage properties, neighbors coming and going. We are very friendly people, but like to choose when we want company. You can have the best of both worlds, peace and quiet and a boat to go on a sandy beach or just cruise the lake at your convenience. We can't say enough about how much we love this place. We have taken great pride in trying to tastefully furnish our Chalet to make you feel right at home. Any comments or suggestions after your stay please be sure and let us know.
