We came for our Honeymoon. This was a great place to stay - right in downtown Lahaina! And the view was beautiful! Perfect place for a couple to stay! The only thing was that the shrubs are very high in the back so there is not a view of ocean from pool and lounge area. This is for privacy though so there are obvious pros to this. I would absolutely stay here again... The condo was perfect: clean, lots of amenities, updated / nicely decorated, and very, very comfortable!

Thank you Chris and Pete for giving us the opportunity to stay in your beautiful condo that had everything we needed to feel right at home. The view was spectacular on the Lanai; especially when the full moon was shining across the waters. The location was perfect that we were able to enjoy early morning walks, restaurants, activities (getting on the Ferry to Molokai, Hawaiian shows, Arts and Crafts fair under the Banyon Tree, the Library). Thank you too for all the great info you provided us for the "Fun Things to Do" on the island that we took in. You were gracious and kind and we appreciated your wonderful home. God bless! Outstanding is all I can say. We have travelled all over the world, and many times to Hawaii. This is by far our favorite place. The location is excellent. Close enough to walk to Lahaina for shopping and dinner, but far enough away to escape to the peace and quite of Lahaina Shores. The view from the condo is magical. The place is exceptionally well decorated and has everything you need. Made for one of our best vacations ever. Try it. You won’t be disappointed. We’ll be back for sure.

A Vacation in Paradise

What a wonderful location on Maui just a 5 minute walk to town on Front St. I would highly recommend the condo owned by Pete and Cindy at Lahaina Shores. First of all Cindy was very helpful with Information about Airport transportation,Restaurants etc. We thoroughly loved the place,we had 3 people,my wife and her friend Phyliss,so 2 slept in the kingsized bed and the other on the futon which was quite comfortable. We managed very well in this beautful,well maintained unit. The deck overlooking the ocean is very comfortable and we enjoyed the sights and sounds of the Hawaian entertainment next door. It was fun to watch the boats coming and going from Lahaina harbor just a short distance away and did I mention the Hump-back whales entertainment right from the deck. Pete and Cindy provide Binoclers for whale watching. The unit is well appointed with a newly remodeled kitchen with everything to suit even the most sophisticated cooks. We cooked some meals and combined that with wonderful evening meals in town. We rented a car for 3 days of our 11 day experience in Lahaina and saw much of Maui. I am so thrilled with our time in Maui at Lahaina Shores and we'll surely be back again to experience the sights and sounds of this beautiful place.

We absolutely loved our stay at Cindy and Pete's condo! It was tastefully remodeled, well-maintained, great location (walk to the harbor/Front St), with an amazing ocean view! You can swim in the calm ocean bay literally inches away from the resort lobby! I also love how the a/c kicked on/off with the sensor on the sliding glass door. Nice touches all around! One of the best things was Cindy and Pete's warmth and hospitality, and quick, helpful responses. They handle everything professionally, so there's no need to worry while you are on vacation! A fabulous location, furnishings, and hosts

My husband and I haven't had a vacation together, just the two of us, for 24 years, BC (before children). It has always been with the kids. We decided it was time that the two of us go away together. I wanted to go for 14 nights, and he wanted to go for max 10 so we compromised, and decided for 12. When going through vrbo, we came across Cindy's listing, and I sent her a message. Her response was so quick and helpful that I was thoroughly reassured about renting from someone I did not know. The vrbo listing was perfect; we were thrilled when we walked in. The condo was clean, and very well maintained. Cindy and I kept in contact throughout the vacation and she was most happy to answer any questions I had - I didn't have many because everything was taken care of beforehand. Definitely, a worry free holiday, and my husband and I had the greatest time. We had dinner on the lanai almost every evening as we watched the sun go down and listened to the ocean roar - literally. We loved walking downtown Lahaina, which is literally minutes away. The Condo staff were so helpful, especially Remy, who gave us insights in to which activities was geared to our interest. We went on the Pacific Whale Foundation Molokini/Lanai'i snorkeling day trip, and enjoyed it so much, we went back a few days later! (ask them about their discount for repeat trips within 7 days). We loved what the PWF stood for so much, we became members, and bought almost all our souvenirs for family and friends there! (Look them up on Facebook!) The only trip through the condo service (Expedia) I was not so sure of was the bus tour "Road to Hana". It was definitely an experience, but not convinced it was worth the $$. We also made an oops and rented the snorkel gear and the umbrella from a fellow Remy knew, without realizing that all that equipment was in the condo unit already - so don't rent more! I would definitely recommend this listing, you won't be disappointed. Mahalo Cindy, you were the perfect host!

Amazing place!!

We have been to Maui several times but always stayed at hotels. When we discovered this condo through friends, we thought it sounded good and we'd give it a try. We were blown away! The condo is beautifully decorated in island patterns with gorgeous tropical flower arrangements and island art, and has every amenity you could want...CD/iPod player, books, beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, cooler, full refrigerator with ice maker (cool!), all appliances, just everything you need. The grounds are very nice...a big lawn with lounge chairs, beautiful palm trees providing shade when you need it, and a pool. There's a book exchange in the lobby which was very nice. The sound of the waves is so soothing and we slept with the windows open and the ceiling fan on every night, so as not to miss any of it. The location is also perfect, easy walking distance to Lahaina, but also restaurants in the shopping area right next door. I just can't say enough about how perfect Lahaina Shores is, and particularly this condo. It's on the 4th floor so you have a gorgeous view of the ocean and the sunset from the very comfortable chairs on the lanai. We will go back in a heartbeat, and I just wish it were going to be sooner.

Rob and Lauri Mid-Winter break

First visit to Hawaii and we totally enjoyed our stay. The unit had a great kitchen area and was well supplied with everything we needed. We cooked breakfast in the unit and ate on the deck enjoying the great view of the ocean. The unit was exactly as descrbed and the pictures of the unit showed us exactly what to expect. Went on a dolphin/snorkel tour and the dolphins swam with the boat and there were whales all over the place. Two days later we decided to kayak and snorkel with the sea turtles - what a great experience. Our arms were sore from how far out you kayak but it was well worth it to have whales right around us and the sea turtles were so close you could touch them but of course you aren't suppose to. We had to ask what eats sea turtles and loved finding out sharks when we were swimming with them in the water :) We are hoping to go back next year and will stay at Lahaina Shores again. We have already recommended the location to some friends who are thinking about taking their first trip to Maui.

Fabulous-most enjoyable vacation ever!!

We just arrived home after 21 breathtaking days at Pete & Cindy's quaint condo! We had so much fun floating on our rubber rafts, enjoying sun filled days and beautiful sunsets! We rented kayaks and rowed up and back in front of the condo and went out over the reef and saw huge turtles sunning on top of the water--and the resident monk seal made his appearance numerous times. Whale watching was the best ever--had numerous groups of whales breaching and swimming under the boat and giving us quite a show!! The Old LaHaina Luau is one of the best we have ever been to-and we can't forget Cool Cats for their great Burgers!! The condo is so enjoyable with all the amenities one needs to be comfortable--decor is so cheerful and elegant! The property and staff are so friendly and they still inflate your rubber rafts and have them ready before you are. We hope to come back again next year--Mahalo!!

Lovely Place

We spent a very enjoyable week here. Quiet, great views, saw a monk seal on the beach just resting, also saw manta rays playing and splashing in the beach not more than 15 feet from the shore. The beautiful sunsets highlighted by the sounds of the Feast at Lela, wow. Who could ask for more?

Home Away from Home

We just came back from a 8 day 7 night stay at Pete and Cindy's fabulous studio apt. at Lahaina Shores. You have already seen the pictures so you wouldn't be reading this unless your curiosity wasen't sparked. The pictures are just the tip of the iceberg because once you walk through the front door, you know you have arrived in paradise, and these accomodations only make the experience all the better. We are Starwood members, and because of my husband's work often we have enough points to stay at Westin or Shearaton's for free (which we have done in Kaanapali Beach). For free or having to pay, this place has those places beat hands down. It's peaceful, quite, beautiful, comfortable, romantic...perfect beach...cool restuarants next door, also a little market where you can buy goodies for your fridge, but more important you can buy rafts ($3.50) to float on in the warm and tranquil waters of the beach directly just a couple of feet from your front door. The front desk even has air tanks to blow up those rafts for you. Can't say it enough...THIS PLACE IS THE BEST!! You may not stay long enough to be able to call it home, but you will surely feel like it is your home for as long as you stay!! So look forwatd to coming back.

Beautiful Room!

We recently went to Maui on a family vacation and I booked this room for my father in law. I was pleased to find that it was exactly as shown in the pictures! The room is beautifully decorated and the view of the ocean is stunning. My father in law found the room to be very comfortable and relaxing. Lahaina Shores is a great place to stay if you do not want the commercialism of the big resorts. It is conveniently located, clean, and has a true Hawaiian atmosphere. It is a no-frills establishment, but it does have a pool and barbecues, the kitchens in the rooms are stocked with all of the amenities of home, and it is located right on the ocean (not a sliver of an oceanvew from a mile away like the big places) There are restaurants, bars, shopping, and a spa next door, and more within walking distance. If you stay at Lahaina Shores, I highly recommend this room! Each is individually owned and therefore are all decorated and furnished differently. This one is a gem and the owners are really nice.

We had a wonderful time on Maui while staying in the studio condo at Lahaina Shores. This place has possibly one of the best locations around, a couple of blocks from downtown Lahaina, but still beachfront and super relaxed atmosphere. Close to activities, mins/walking distance from shopping, but away from most of the touristy craziness. Cindy was extremely helpful and friendly, and we were not surprised to see when we arrived that the condo was exactly as described and shown in the photos. The condo was spotless, and all the amenities of the condo itself and the Lahaina Shores resort were fantastic. An added bonus was that there is a luau next door, so every evening out on the lanai had an island soundtrack wafting up. Saw whales from there as well! We put the great location to use, from the condo's location it is a beautiful drive to anywhere on the island...15 mins to Maalea to the Pacific Whale Foundation (also one in Lahaina) 30 mins to upcountry Maui, as well as Wailuku or Paia, 20 mins to Napili Bay, 10 mins to Kaanapali, 40 mins to Wailea and onward. We hit tons of beaches, and snorkeled everywhere. The great thing about where we stayed is that we could easily get anywhere and had a beautiful home base to come back to. We picked up groceries at the Whole Foods in Kahului when we flew in, so we had stuff for breakfast and some meals and appetizers every day we were there, which saved some cash too. Even with all the great places and restaurants we went to, it is safe to say the highlight of the trip was morning coffee and fresh guava juice out on that lanai everyday. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, and I have already told family and friends so. Thanks so much Cindy and Pete for sharing your Maui home with us!

Aloha Cindy and Pete, Just a quick note to let you know how much we are enjoying our stay here at "435". Everything has gone smoothly and the condo is lovely. Even though there is construction happening great care has been taken to ensure it's non-obtrusive. We rented a car at the airport then stopped in at Costco so have the place well stocked with enough food and wine to last the week! :) Once again thanks so much for making the rental process so seamless.......it was easier than checking into a hotel! Just looking at the pictures makes me long to go back. Cindy was marvelous with lots of ideas on what to see and where to go. The suite was cozy,clean, beautiful, and the view was amazing. The staff at the hotel was so friendly and helpful. We arranged all our activities with the expedia people downstairs and saved a lot of money. Parking is a problem in Lahaina because it is so popular with tourists so it was nice to have a guaranteed parking spot at the hotel. Walking into town takes two minutes! But at the hotel you feel miles away from anyone. In town there are lots of lovely shops, great restaurants and Luau's, a great magic show and of course the marina to investigate. I'd like to say no I won't recommend it because I want to keep it all to myself but truely I've already told everyone I know that I have a great place for them to consider if planning a trip to Maui.

Mahalo on the condo. It was fantastic. We braved fog, wind, and rain without seeing the sunrise at Haleakala, and had a dinner cruise cancelled due to choppy water, but had a spectacular all-day drive to Hana. Lahaina Shores is a great place and so peaceful from some of the activity on the island from the larger chain hotels. It was a real pleasure to sit out on the lanai at night and listen to the music, and also leave the door open/screen shut to listen to the ocean throughout each night. We also had an enjoyable time wandering Lahaina at night (very easy walking distance), and seeing Ulalena. It was great a great show. We'll certainly keep you place in mind for our next visit. We couldn't have asked for more... the oceanfront setting, ideal location, fully furnished... everything was fantastic. We loved everything about the studio, and appreciated the quality towels/linens, the artwork and color schemes, and the new kitchen.
