Our stay in Laura's condos was just perfect! Great accomodations, a terrific location in downtown Tacoma, and an owner who was wonderfully helpful and most generous -- when I asked about a special roasting pan that the condo's well appointed kitchen did not have, she loaned me one from her own kitchen. Although one condo was on the second floor and the other on the third, the stairs are wide and easy to climb. I heartily recommend this spot -- and would love to visit again.

My husband and I have spent a month here. The condo is beautiful: used brick, original artwork, all amenities. I walk every day around the city. Restaurants, Starbucks, you name it, all within walking distance, including a beautiful walk along the water.. The owner is gracious and provides anything you need, We would return here.

Our family had the pleasure of living in this beautiful condo for two months over the summer. It had all the comforts of home and more. However, what we appreciated the most was Laura and Marty's hospitality. They were the ultimate hosts. They made us feel at home from the beginning to the end of our stay. Our children will always remember Laura's thoughtfulness. She dropped off children's books from her own collection and even let us borrow her heirloom rocking horse. If we needed anything, all we had to do was ask, including jump starting our car. The day before we left, we spent a memorable afternoon in Laura and Marty's art studio in the basement of the building. We had the best time painting and creating art together. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

We stayed at Laura's condo over the 2009 and 2010 Christmas holidays. The condo is everything you see in the photo's and more---high quality finishes, fixtures, and appliances and beautiful woodwork! Laura keeps everything immaculate and adds special touches that make you feel very comfortable. The location is great with a nice selection of both casual and more upscale restaurants all within walking distance. We would (and have) recommend this great condo to others!

There was even a spray bottle of starch for pressing my shirts. The location downtown is great with multiple restaurants located in walking distance and easy access on and off Hwy 705. The bed and linen were amazing to come home to as well. I would highly recommend this to any one looking to stay in the downtown Tacoma Area."

lrpotvin, 2010-12-11 I recently stayed for a two month period while relocating to the Pacific Northwest. The accommodations were excellent and comfortable. Having a fully equipped kitchen allowed my wife and I to cook in when we wanted to, and dine out in the many local restaurants when we felt like it. The property owner was terrific - made us feel welcome, helped us to find local interest places to visit, where to shop and where to dine, and even loaned us a color printer and helped with WIFI hookup for our laptops! We had a great stay and enjoyed the amenities, comfortable accommodations and proximity to downtown Tacoma and restaurants. Thanks for a great stay!

We regularly travel to Tacoma every quarter and have always been staying in hotels. This time we decided to do something different, and we chose this wonderful getaway - thanks to the our very nice landlady, who was very attentive and made our stay very comfortable. The condo was decorated surprisingly artistic, but did not lose the touch of homely warmth. All amenities were of quality and in abundance. Our nice landlady even provided additional new silverware during our stay knowing we had few days of our daughter staying over. There were little glitches, but were immediately fixed once we informed her. We were very appreciative. Overall, an excellent experience, and we are planning of staying again in this condo over the new year break again - definitely our choice for our future stays in Tacoma!

All reviews posted here accurately reflect our stay. Laura has created an exceptionally clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated home away from home. Her main concern was "taking care of you" and she does that in grand fashion. My standards are quite high and all were met and exceeded. The condo is exactly as appears in photos. Bed is very comfortable; baths were pristine. Highly recommend chosing this location for a Tacoma/Seattle visit or long term rental. You won't be disappointed!!

We knew from the early-arranging time onward that this would B a memorable Xperience & it was. Laura made it easy & fun. The condo was beautifully appointed & utterly comfortable. Laura was incredibly thoughtful with all the little touches like condiments in the kitchen & brochures re: things 2 do. She enabled us 2 Bgin our Xploration of Tacoma immediately upon arrival; dinner at Paddy's Irish Pub right downstairs the 1st nite was delicious & fun. The location of the condo makes the city very accessible. We could not more highly recommend it.

Staying at one of Laura's flats is a must for downtown Tacoma. Forget the hotels if you can stay a week or more. We stayed a month and it was perfect. Laura made sure we had everything we needed. From the furnishings,wine, chocolates, coffee, and great original art; nothing can compare. Laura was overly obliging, as she has been known to do. We asked her to add a cable channel so we could watch the Tour de France and she had it added immediately. Great space, great downtown location, and the very attentive Laura makes this an awesome find.

As others have noted, this is a very comfortable condo with very hospitable owners. I am surprised that no one has noted that to get to the condo you need to walk up 2 flights of stairs. That was not a problem for me, but it may be a challenge to some. Having enjoyed living in downtown Chicago for a number of years, I loved being able to walk out the door to fun restaurants and bars. Those restaurants and bars can get noisy at night, but that is part of downtown living. If you love being where the action is, this is definitely a lovely place to come home to. I was here for two months and was very happy with the experience.

This is a comfortable, spacious condo with modern conveniences and decorated with art work. The owner is very helpful with information about places to go and how to get there. The location is ideal with shops, restaurants and clusbs, the glass museum, and the farmers' market close by, and yet it is quiet enough and near a peaceful park and the waterfront. We have enjoyed the condo so much that we have come a second time and will visit again. Our young adult children like to visit also. I strongly recommend this property.

We spent a few days in this wonderful rental while visiting family in the Tacoma area. The condo was extremely clean, very well equipped and very comfortable. The online photos and description do not do it justice. It is spacious, and has every amenity possible. It is located in a quiet area, yet still near great restaurants, parks and coffee shops. Laura went above & beyond to make us feel comfortable, even coordinating a special delivery from my husband, who unfortunately could not make the trip with us. We will definitely stay again on our next visit to Tacoma.

I stayed here for 4 months while waiting for my old house to close and then my new house to close. Laura is absolutely marvelous about making sure you have everything you need. I asked about a lounge chair and one appeared. She provides you with all the information and brochures you could possible need to find things to do and see in Tacoma. If you want, and only if you want, you can have the company of her cat - I did. You can tell Laura is a well known artist because the unit is beautifully appointed and I "borrowed" a lot of ideas for decorating my new home. I would highly recommend staying here short or longer term.

This was the second time that my fiance and I were able to stay in these apartments. The apartment is beautifully decorated with such a homie feeling. With perfect location it is an easy choice. Laura is amazing, made the entire experience pleasurable. I highly recommend this experience if you are looking to stay in a nice location, with beautiful art, good close resturants and a pleasant land lord.

We stayed here for a month while fulfilling a contract for customer service and resiliency training for Madigan Army Medical Center. It felt like home from the first day. Laura provided everything we needed but didn't have with us. We mentioned we didn't bring a printer, and a printer appeared. We said we missed our cat, and she brought us one. The condo is neat, clean, convenient, beautifully furnished and comfortable. Even though there are many restaurants nearby, we felt like we wanted to cook and enjoy our home most evenings. Last year we said this: We absolutely loved our one week stay in the condo - it was so clean that it didn't seem that anyone else had ever stayed there. Comfortable, beautiful, convenient - we couldn't ask for anything more. We definitely hope to return. This year we were able to return for a whole month! It was every bit as nice as we remembered. We love the apartment, we love being in downtown Tacoma. Hope to make it an annual event.

Owner response:The highlight of the Patterson's tri[p was that Ron is a pastor and married me and my long time boyfriend, Marty. It was a beautiful service on a sun-filled day with a view of the water - truly a wonderful experience to share with them and tremendously generous of them to do for us.

We were recently displaced from our home temporarily. We stayed for alomost two weeks in January. The conveniance of being downtown near the sight for working was conveniant, but the warmth and comfort of Laura's place was amazing. It was so roomy, and beautifully decorated. We had absolutely everything we needed. We were able to cook, and use our computer, so that we did not lose traction on our project. It has two entrances and parking, and is very close to nice restaurants. Laura thinks of everything. She even cross promotes with local businesses so that dining shopping and even going to the salon is very conveniant and affordable for guests. If you are staying in Tacoma for multiple nights, forget the hotel, and stay here, you'll feel like you are at home.

We just returned from a month's stay in this wonderful condo and can't wait to schedule our next trip. It far exceeded our expectations in almost every way! The location provided easy access to everything from museums and restaurants to beaches and festivals. We loved going for a walk each morning on our way to one of the many local coffee shops. And, the unit itself was just beautiful - modern conveniences with antique charm. As former Washington residents, we have family and friends living in the area and it was such a treat to be able to entertain them for a change. We had a delightful time. Everything was perfect. The condo itself was spectacular--a beautiful and tasteful restoration. All of the extra touches were amazing--beautiful artwork, a bottle of wine, good coffee and chocolate. What more could you ask for? The location was great--downtown and close to UPS where we attended my daughter's graduation with great restaurants less than a block away. Laura was a wonderful host--going way beyond what you would expect--offering privacy but available when needed. I would definitely recommend this vacation rental and will undoubtedly return myself if my daughter stays in the area.

It's all true. I stayed here five months during a business engagement, after spending several unsatisfying weeks in various area hotels. Extremely comfortable, elegantly furnished, cordial and caring hosts (Laura and Marty). Off-street parking, washer/dryer and fully-appointed kitchen were important to me. If business or pleasure takes you anywhere near Tacoma, this is the place to stay!

My husband and I stayed here with our dogs for a month while we were between homes. Laura's vacation rental is nice and quiet, very private and so thoughtfully set up. It is perfectly located within walking distance to several local restaurants and pubs. And only half a block from Fireman's Park for walking the dogs. We couldn't have asked for more.

We stayed 2 weeks in this wonderful apartment from Laura .She is an fantastic artist and her paintings are all over the house.It is a very spacious apartment and quiet.If yuo need help Laura gives you all the information.The neighbourhood will become very nice in the next years because more restaurants are coming.With a car(the garage is included)you cab easily travel to Mount Rainier etc.We had a wonderful stay.

I rented this condo for my parents who were here visiting from Mexico for a week. They loved the place! It is beautiful inside, and the artwork was a bonus! They enjoyed walking to the farmer's market, a variety of eating establishments downtown, and to Fireman's Park. They also said the bed was very comfortable, and it was nice and quiet. I am entering this comment for Barbara K., who stayed in our condo for two weeks over Christmas and New Year's. Before she left I asked her how everything was and to let us know what we could improve upon. Barbara said "It was wonderful. I'm going to tell all my friends and my brother." Barbara also said that she enjoyed the wine bar (Vin Grotto) downstairs and will spread a good word about Kris' (wine bar owner) business as well. She also said that she will be back in Spring.
