Villa CASTELLO is a unique waterfront all stone house on Hydra Island in Greece. Swim in the sea right below the house. Amazing sunsets from balcony, private side terrace and a very large roof terrace. Just around the corner from town but still very private and quiet. No stairs to climb. Very suitable for elderly and very young children. Air conditioner. Check calendar below for availability.

We are leaving today after 10 days in this amazing place. The top floor, where we stayed, reflects the essence of Hydra - the sound of waves and boats coming to and form the port, close to the port and absolutely private, a winning location. The apartment is comfortable for one person or a couple, or 3 or 4 people. With many choices to have your early or late breakfast or to spend a long hour looking at the sunset. Facing north you benefit both sunrise and endless unforgettable sunsets. Drunk from very special 10 days and already dreaming on next year in Hydra and Villa Castello.

We stayed 9 weeks in this beautiful and unique house in front of the sea, discovering how time stops when we forget whatever we don't really need. Harmony, beauty, and wonder were our daily gifts. Happiness is not so far away... An angel from Sweden came to welcome us and let us know how simple life can become. In silence, except for the occasional wind, the waves and the boats passing by our windows, we could write and imagine a new life far from what we had known in Paris (métro, boulot, dodo). On our terrace under the sun, taking breakfast still in December, we received thousands of ideas from heaven that we are now going to transform into reality for all of us. Our family and friends visited us and fell in love with Hydra, an island of freedom without cars where donkeys carry everything. Paradise is on earth, we now know where it is !!! You can tell everybody, only conscious people can understand, they will not be plenty... In Paris again after Villa Castello, peace follows us and we'll try to keep it as long as possible, before coming back to where we belong, like Maria ! Thanks to Alex and la niña we were even given the chance to visit Athens and to make real friends we'll never forget. We're grateful for this special time engraved in our hearts and minds.
