This is a great beach that goes on for miles in either direction. Beach break surfing, great boogeyboarding (we've got two surfboards and several boogeyboards), and you can ride bikes on the beach (also provided).
Our huge wraparound porch has five hammocks, and a great oceanview and breeze.
We've recently renovated the house, to rave reviews.
Pochomil is very relaxing, very low key. Massachappa, a fishing village, is next door, and fun to see. There are about twenty restaurants in both towns, some will deliver.
You'll want to stop in Managua for groceries; we're an hour away. There's also a grocery store in San Rafael Del Sur, about 20 minutes away.

A Little Slice of Paradise!

This house is the perfect beach getaway. The house is beautiful, comfortable, full of light, clean, and well stocked with all that one could possibly need. The view from the house is beautiful and the porch is huge with enough room for 4 hammocks! I spent 2 nights at the house and did not have enough time to do everything that the place has to offer. We went surfing, boogie boarding, body surfing, bike riding, and horseback riding. I could have spent another week just sitting on the porch reading! If you like uncrowded, untouched beaches then this beach house is for you. You have practically the entire beautiful beach to yourself. I am currently living in Nicaragua and have been visiting this country for over 11 years and this property is my favorite getaway location! I highly recommend this property!

This was a perfect place to stay. The layout was great and the wraparound porch with hammocks was the best! Not only did it have everything one would need (except groceries, of course), but it was nicely decorated and quaint. The rooms were comfy and homey with even little details such as novels in English on the bedside table in case you need some light reading material. In the amount of time we were there we couldn't even possibly take advantage of all the things it had to offer (bikes, surfboard), but we did thoroughly use the boogie boards and the gorgeous hammocks. The beach was super nice and safe compared to other Nicaraguan beaches where there is a dangerous riptide and one can never really let their guard down and relax. I live in Nicaragua and almost never go to the beach because it's so dangerous (unless you go down south towards San Juan del Sur). But this area of Pochomil seemed to be an exception. I had a wonderful time with my son playing in the water. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to spend some quality time on a beautiful stretch of Nicaraguan beach.

If you want to spend time at a great beach, in the best part of the beach, in a house that is super clean, cute, safe, and full of light and air, this is the place. We drove for about one leisurely hour from the capital of Nicaragua, Managua, in a small rental car and were met by the house caretaker and the maid, who had the house all ready for us. It is on a small street in a cute little neighborhood within steps to the beach. It is on the part of the beach that is not packed with people, so it is clean and peaceful. The kitchen has all that is needed for cooking. There are hammocks on the deck, a tv, good beds, just perfect. If you like cold drinks, bring ice with you until the freezer can make some. Great for two or three couples, great for kids. We were a couple, another adult and a teenager. Regret we could only stay for two days and a night. Once we got there, we didn't want to leave. Oh, and the directions on how to get there were really great from the property manager next door.

5000 characters is not enough to describe this home and place. But if you are looking for peace, serenity, spectacular views; then this place is it. I visited in early October; the offshore winds did not allow for good surfing (nor anywhere up and down the coast); so we decided to do some treking. The Pan-Am Hwy was an adventure; visiting from San Jaun Del Sur, jumping off to Greneda and ferrying over to Ometepa, then all the way up to Leon. And evever place in between. The house is gorgeous, everything you need to just relax and enjoy the amenities within as well as the country. Our housekeeper and groundskeeper were the best!! Always accomodating. Play close attention to the directions out of Managua; if you venture off; it may take time to venture back. But Nicaragua is by far more safer than Costa; the people were more than nice; this country is striving in a positive enrichment way of life. I look forward to my return to Pochomil and will make every effort to schedule my time to stay at this home. Reid your place is by far more than what is described in your details; the neighbors were always helpful and nice; ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! THE WHOLE PLACE INSIDE/OUT!

Two days weren-t enough! Everything was waiting for us....from books to boogy boards, colorful hammocks and comfy beds, spacious but cozy, ocean breeze outside, a/c/ inside. Take your camera! It-s spectacular!

Had a wonderful time at the Pochomil house, we were total hammock-potatos. The beach is lovely and you can walk for miles either way. Fresh seafood available right to your door. The house has verandas overlooking the ocean and is very peaceful. We saw some really spectacular sunsets, went horseback riding on the beach, played in the waves, and totally enjoyed our stay. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

The beachhouse is clean, bright, nicely decorated. Maid and caretaker very reliable and helpful. Many games in the home to relax and enjoy. Beach a few steps away; calm waters, good swimming and boogy boarding! House is situated so there is always a cool breeze. We will be back!

My girlfriend and I recently enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing stay at this comfortable little beach house. We spend the days strolling the beach, swimming and exploring the rock formations along the coast where the waves roll over the rock shelves and create little waterfall curtains to sit under and hide behind. The house maid was friendly and helpful. She told us about several locations within a short walking distance to buy drinks and snacks. She also presented us with menus from a local resaurant where she placed our orders and had our food delivered while we swung in porch hammocks and listed to music.

The people and the restaurants around the house are very helpfull. Restaurants will give the menu card and bring your order up to the house. The service was very good.
