ANAQUOT our cabin in the sky: Only 1.5 hours from Atlanta, this lovely, cozy cabin is nestled 2000 plus feet atop Wise Mountain amid 2 forested walkable acres in the Chattahoochee National Reserve. Spectacular seasonal mountain views from your spacious loft with queen bed, downstairs bedroom and living area with windows all around. On your wrap-around porch, you can sit in the hot tub with that special person and watch the stars.
Anaquot, an Indian name meaning Cloud, is tastefully furnished for your comfort. Perfect for that special occasion with your sweetheart... you need only bring your toothbrush. All the serenity you want with easy access to civilization if you prefer. Ocoee or Toccoa River whitewater rafting, boating activities on Lake Blue Ridge, nearby theater, shopping, cinemas, dining, bluegrass music, waterfalls, horseback riding, etc. Grill on the covered porch while watching the hummingbirds or deer.

We found this property rather last-minute for spring break. The owner responded right away with email and phone call, and by the next day we had completed the booking and received confirmation. Everything was just like the photos, and we really liked the cabin. It was a great getaway with all the comforts of home.

We absolutely loved the cabin! It was close enough to town yet still far enough away. The woods offered a great chance to explore. We will come back in the future for another visit. You have a beautiful cabin and I thank you for sharing it with us for our special occasion.

My family and I were looking for a nice, affordable and hassel free get-a-way in the the Blue Ridge Mountains and we found just that. What made our stay even more relaxing was the friendly service we received from the people we rented from. She was so helpful and kind. The cabin itself was well maintained and very comfortable. We would recommend staying at this cabin to any one!

Our journey to the cabin should have only taken about 5 hrs.;but with unconceivable circumstances it took us about 17 hrs. The cabin and surroundings were just what we wanted. This was our first trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains, and yes---we will be coming back to this cabin. Sue Carol you are so sweet and understanding. Thank you so much---our little misunderstanding of dates turned into an enjoyable time. Thank you, and we hope you stop by and see us when you are going to the cabin.

My mother in law, my girls, & I decided to take a girls weekend up North! We wanted to relax, ride the train, & just have some quality time together. The cabin was perfect for us. My girls loved the hot tub. I loved the rocking chairs on the porch. My mother in law enjoyed just about everything! CS (the owner) was especially friendly & answered all our questions. The neighbor was extremely helpful, as well! Thank you for sharing your cloud in the sky! Next time, I'm bringing my hubby!!! Thank you so very much!

Weekend getaway

We loved the cabin and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was so peaceful. The first morning there I looked out the window when I woke up and there stood two deer grazing within a stone's throw. Same thing the next morning, although we missed them the third. Squirrels played in the yard constantly and we even saw a blue-tail skink and a scorpion. If you are a critter lover, keep your eyes peeled and you are sure to see some. The cabin was clean and well maintained, although it needs a new corkscrew or bring your own. The drive to town, restaurants and grocery stores is a few miles, but we weren't really looking to hang out "in town" so it didn't matter to us. We definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful mountain getaway and hopefully we will get to use it ourselves again sometime soon. Oh, and very affordable compared to other places.

Sue Carol and Peter, We loved your cabin and we stayed during the Easter season. We had such a wonderful and relaxing time. It was very clean and you had everything there that a person would need! My husband loves fly fishing in the Toccoa River which was only 20 minutes away. I got to catch up on my reading also! It was so serene there on the mountain! We will definitely be back again! We loved the HARVEST restaurant downtown Blue Ridge and the Serenity Cafe!

My husband and I rented this cabin for a week from 03/26/11 to 04/02/11 and had a wonderful time. It was more like staying in a family home than a rental. It is very comfortable and I really enjoyed visiting with Sue Carol. They were very quick to respond to any questions or problems we had. We spent a lot of time hiking and enjoying the area. Don't miss Anacalola Falls and The Ocoee River Visitors Center. We are planning or using this cabin again.
