Ponderosa Pines Lodge- Our 2400 square foot home is spacious and bright with two master suites, vaulted ceilings, and hardwood floors. There are large windows and sliding doors that overlook the ponderosa pines in a serene and open area across the street from the river in Sunriver. The home sleeps up to 12 people in five large bedrooms and a great room with 60' LCD Smart TV with paid Netflix for family entertaining. The great room features a large stone fireplace and a dining area for up to 12 people. The deck from the back of the house has magnificent ponderosa pine views. The house has upstairs split air conditioning and a private hot tub.
Location: Our lodge-style home is located at 1 Gannet, across the street from the river and at the end of our property backs the bike trails in Sunriver. We are between Circle 6 and Circle 7. It is a one minute walk to the trail along the Deschutes River. Fifteen minute bike ride to the NEW SHARC AQUATIC AND RECREATION facility with 12 Unlimited Passes. Five minute bike ride to National Forest Mountain Bike Trails (towards Benham Falls). Ten minute bike ride to Fort Rock Park or the North Pool with UNLIMITED pool and tennis passes. Twenty minute bike ride to mall. Twenty minute drive to Mount Bachelor Ski Resort.
Living Areas: Great room with vaulted ceilings, hard wood floors, large stone fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Ponderosa Pines and occasional deer; Dining area sits fifteen(twelve at table, three at bar); Family room/den with TV, DVD, VCR, and stereo system. Hockey game located in insulated garage.
Sleeping Areas: Five separate sleeping areas: Two master suites with king beds; Two bedrooms with queen beds: One bedroom with two twin log bunk-beds.

Our stay was great. The location is perfect for us. We brought three friends of our grandchildren along, giving us six in all. They loved hot tubing, riding bikes, walking, shopping, swimming, caving, etc. Each night we cooked a fabulous meal for 12, made easy by the kitchen, gas BBQ, and the large dining table. With three separate families, the house had an excellent layout. When we were planning where to stay, everyone want to return here. I would recommend it to anyone.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.

This home is well designed- 4 bedrooms and 2 baths downstairs, a huge master suite and a great room upstairs that combined a well-furnished kitchen, large dining area, and family room with a large deck area that included a hot tub and table and chairs. Some of the furnishings are well-worn and need to be replaced. The previous occupants had left well beyond the check-out time and the cleaners were still scrambling to finish cleaning at check-in. The water in the hot tub was filthy and we had to make a service call before we could use it. The garbage cans were full when we arrived and there was no garbage service provided during the 5 days we were there despite 2 calls to the cleaning service. The service issues detracted from should have been a first class experience. The home is in a delightful quiet neighborhood adjacent to the river. It has a lot of nice touches and just needs up-dating. I suspect that the service issues we experienced will not be repeated.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: We have taken great measures to not repeat this experience. The cleaning staff and the jacuzzi company have been advised of this review. they need to maintain high standards even at the end of their busy season and the prior guest are late to leave. The trash removal has been addressed and we have hired a private trash service for all future tenants.

Well furnished with four bedrooms for couples and one bunk room for four. Kitchen equipped with everything you could possibly need. Bikes were sound and we enjoyed biking everywhere. Living space on upper story with deck, grill and hot tub was a great gathering/eating place. Tv's could be updated, but we weren't there for tv. Internet connection was superbRecommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

Hi Roberta, I just wanted to let you know how much we all enjoyed staying at your home in SunRiver. It was perfect. And hopefully we will be back staying there again next summer. It had everything we could have asked for and the kitchen was perfectly stocked with everything we wanted and needed to make each and every meal we wanted. Although the snow came a little late, we had a great time in Sunriver and enjoyed your home very much. I only found the journal while headed out the door so only my Mom was able to leave a short note. I cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed your home and my family very much treated it as our own. About the owner: We live in San Diego and this is our second private retreat. We chose Sunriver and the Deschutes river location, because we have children and golden retrievers that love to swim. We love the convenience and location of our house to kayak to the house, ride our bikes to Benham Falls, or walk in the early morning along the beautiful Deschuttes River.

We have rented in Sunriver over 7 years and have found most are renting through rental agencies that make the home a commodity. We want to provide an experience!
