Sapphire Beach E206...Renovated 2012! Beachfront!!!
- Minimum stay:3-4 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Stunning views of gorgeous Sapphire Beach and St. John! Bright aqua blue water right outside your door. The sound of ocean waves against the shore, constant breezes blowing through the palm trees. Welcome to paradise! FREE WIFI!!! FREE lounge chairs and snorkel gear at Dive In dive shop, on site!
What makes Sapphire Beach Resort and Marina so special? It is located directly on one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. The water must be 15 shades of blue! You are literally right on the sand, and you can see the beautiful blue water from all places in the condo, even in the bed! Some of the other places we have stayed did not have as nice a beach, did not have the great breezes, or did not have good snorkeling. We have it all here! It is located close to the Red Hook ferry, so it is easy to get to St John or the British Virgin Islands. We are close to some great restaurants and grocery stores at Red Hook. Walk to the marina on site and take a day sail to St John or a powerboat trip to the British Virgin Islands, or rent jet skis
Enjoy tropical drinks and a burger or mahi sandwich at the Banana Cabana located on the beach, open during the day for lunch and snacks. The full kitchen allows us to buy groceries and eat breakfast and some other meals in the room, saving time and money. The dive shop on site rents snorkeling equipment and kayaks. The views of St John and the British Virgin Islands are world class. We have stayed in many resorts and villas throughout the US and British Virgin Islands, and we kept coming back to Sapphire Beach Resort. If you want a full-service resort with several restaurants, this is not the place for you. If you want to have an incredible view right on a world-famous beach, this is it!
What makes this unit so wonderful? We just purchased this condo in Spring 2012, and we completely renovated it! The bathroom has been completely renovated and has a new tile shower, new tile floor, new cabinets and granite countertops. New HEAVENLY King Mattress and box springs, new high thread-count linens, new queen sleeper sofa, new patio furniture, fresh paint and new light fixtures! New dinnerware and accessories! New appliances and kitchenware. Sapphire Beach Resort has 5 Buildings that are on the beach--A,B,C,D and E. My husband and I have stayed in almost every building, and the thing we love about the E building is that it offers spectacular views of the crystal blue water as well as direct views of St John and the British Virgin Islands. It is also more private than some of the other buildings, as several of the buildings are on the busier 'main' beach. Here, you can enjoy the activities on the main beach and then come back to the privacy of your condo when you are ready to chill. One of my favorite things about being in the E building is watching the twinkling lights on St John at night...absolutely magical!
We love to snorkel, and some of our favorite snorkeling is right outside the door! We regularly see turtles and rays in the grass bed in the middle of Sapphire Beach, and the reef on both sides and around the point between the C and D building...Prettyklip Point...is beautiful! It is quite a show of purple fans, yellow elkhorn and other coral, and lots of beautiful fish! I have even seen a spotted eagle ray here! We can give you some great recommendations for snorkeling spots on St John and in the BVIs as well.
There are many great restaurants throughout St Thomas and St John, and we have listed some of our favorites in our Information Book at the condo.
How to get here: We are located near Red Hook on the East End of St Thomas. From the airport, you can rent a car or take a taxi to Sapphire Beach. We prefer having a car so we can take the car ferry to St John. If you want to take a car to St John for the day, be sure to check with the rental car company...not all of them allow you to take the cars to St John.
We want your experience to be as magical for you as it has been for us!

This condo is exactly as picture and even more beautiful in person. We recently spent a week here for our 5 year anniversary and couldnt have asked for a better place to stay . It was just quiet enough for us to enjoy some alone time, however located so close to Red Hook, Ferries and other beaches that we could do as much or as little as we wanted. I loved the decor it was upscale but yet comfortable. Everything was extremely clean, and well maintained. We also did a mid week cleaning with Keisha, and she did an awesome job. The owners were always very prompt to answer any questions we had and all information given was always accurate. We would recommend this condo to anyone looking for a laid back vacation. Somethings we would recommend would be renting a car/jeep and really exploring the island of St. Thomas. We did the top 10 things to do while in St. Thomas, you can pick up guide book at the airport and they are really easy to follow. You must take a day trip to St. John, the beaches there are beautiful and all so different, also alot of bars on St. john have good happy hours :) We also did a day trip on the Breakaway/New horizon boats to the BVI's (they are located at the marina right next to condo)-- highly recommend that if you have time. Visit Magens Bay still my personal favorite beach on none cruise ships days. Restaurants we enjoyed Island Times in Red Hook, Mims in Bolongo Bay-- they have all you can eat steamed shrimp on Thursdays. Duffy's Love Shack-- fun atmosphere and good food. XO- also had really good food.-- both located in Red Hook-- you can't miss them. We throughly enjoyed everything, and miss being there already! Hope to be back soon! Thanks for a great vacation!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Hi Josh and Laura! We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay! I am glad you liked the decor...I wanted it to be comfortable yet nice for our guests. :) Great info on the restaurants! We tried some of them last week while we were there! Please visit us again!

The condo was exactly as described and the view is wonderful. Enjoyed sitting on the deck at night and just listening to the waves. We found the snorkeling to be good right off the beach. The owners were most helpful with providing information on restaurants, snorkeling spots and grocery store. We opted not to rent a car but taxis were always available and easy to find. The cost might be an issue if you make more than one trip a day, though. Being so close to the ferry terminal and the town of Red Hook was a plus, as we took the ferry several times over to St. John.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Hi Barbara! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Please come stay with us again!!!! :)

What a beautifully renovated condo on an amazing beach. It was our first trip to the USVI and one that we will treasure. This condo was perfect--upscale but comfortable with many extras. The owners could not have been more willing to help us in any way. If you are considering a trip to St. Thomas, this is a perfect spot--and so close to St. John.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Nancy, thank you so much for your kind words! Phil and I are so glad you loved our condo, Sapphire Beach and St Thomas! I really appreciate your comments about the decor...I wanted it to be a beautiful place, yet also a place to relax. I am glad you found it to be that way! Please stay with us again! :)

My husband and I recently spent two wonderful week here. The unit is very tastefully furnished and situated right on the beach. The online pictures are perfect to describe the condo and the amenities. We loved watching the lights come on over of St. John as the day ended. The location on Sapphire Beach was easy to find, and was all cleaned and ready for us. We rented a car, which we would recommend if you are staying more that a couple of days. Having the Marina next door was great as we fished for two days and took the Nightwind Sail one day. We loved going on the ferry to St John for the day and also took a tour to the Baths and the British Virgin Islands, which was wonderful. Thank you, Phil and Angela for providing such great accommodations, and for responding so quickly to any question we had. The information you provided was of great help. Thank you for a wonderful 45th Anniversary Holiday.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Our vacation at Sapphire Beach Resort was very nice. The condo was charming and the view was beautiful. Not to mention that the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in and being able to see St. John every morning when I woke up right from the bed was a spectacular way to wake up every morning ! We also enjoyed watching the Sailboats cruising by as they were gearing up for the Regatta that weekend ! Being located at the more private end of the beach also made for a very romantic setting. We had a great experience and would definatley referr our friends and family !!!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are so glad you enjoyed it! I would love to see the sailboats in the Rolex Regatta! How fun!

I have traveled to ST Thomas for 7 years now and can say with out a doubt that this unit is exactly what you need. First it is situated on one best beaches on st thomas with amazing snorkeling at your feet; more specifically this unit is located in one of the side units which means while the view is impeccable and you are only a few yards away you dont have to see or hear the beach goers. if you dont want to leave the beach you can have drinks and food delivered to you by the food runners. for the more adventurous walk a 1/10th of a mile to the restaurant by the pool (the fish wrap is pretty awesome) and for the very adventurous walk to the top of the drive way (some adventure!) and get some BBQ (made by the previous chef of the old stone farmhouse). we got enough chicken for 5 (with left overs) and sides for 60 bucks, i DARE you to beat those prices and it was soooo good. if you do want to leave the beach you are situated at literally the best spot, around the corner from Redhook. Redhook has a bunch of great restaurants and fun bars (i cant recommend Island Time enough) as well as an hourly ferry to st johns. Getting to redhook from your unit takes up to 5 minutes :) Last the unit itself is great, the bathroom has been redone which is probably the most important thing when you are staying somewhere, and i swear the stone shower massages your feet while you are in it. The other great feature is the full size fridge, which many units dont have. that lets you get lots of water and gator aids as well as breakfast stuff instead of having to always go out. while this isn't my thing i would get in trouble if not mentioning the bed, my girlfriend hasn't stopped talking about how soft it was since we got back. at one point she pulled off the sheets to find out what made it so soft! at this point you can keep looking at VRBO's and then basically guess or take my advice and pull the trigger. this is a great one!Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at this beautiful condo from February 2 - 9, 2013. It was absolutely beautiful. The condo is perfect, with awesome views of St. John. Nice tradewinds and beautiful sunrises. I am glad that I listened to Angela and not some of the negative reviews on trip advisor. We found this place to be perfect for us and already booked for next year. It's very laid back and we spent most days at the pool or on the beach. We rented a car but rarely left the resort except to get groceries. The mid week cleaning and linen change is a very nice touch too. Thanks Angela and Phil for answering all of our questions and being so accommodating!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

The owners, Phil and Angela, were helpful from the beginning of our vacation planning about the unit, the island, and things to do. Their description of the unit and the property was accurate. It is among the best situated, most beautiful units on St. Thomas. We loved seeing the lights of Cruz Bay on St. John and hearing the waves of the ocean every night. Although we explored and did many things on both St. Thomas and St. John, Sapphire Beach resort and our patio view were the most stunning place to be. The condo was comfortable, up to date, and was our cozy home for the week. There was island information in the condo, lots of videos for evening entertainment, and great WiFi. The unit was clean, updated, and well equipped. We had mid-week maid service. The owners responded to our many email questions once we arrived, helping us navigate the island, roads, and tourist attractions. Lastly, the property is a short drive from Red Hook, a nice shopping and eating district which is next to the St. John ferry and away from the Cruise Ship traffic. Our favorite beaches were Sapphire Beach, Lindquist Beach nearby, and Trunk Bay on St. John. This was a fabulous vacation and we would recommend this unit to anyone. Thanks, Phil and Angela!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Joan, it was our pleasure to have you and your husband! We appreciate your kind words, and we are so glad that you enjoyed the views and the furnishings in our condo. Phil and I hope to have you as return guests. Meeting people like you makes this so rewarding for us! :)

My wife and I had a terrific time at this newly renovated condo on Sapphire Beach at St. Thomas. The condo was in pristine condition. The bed was comfortable. Everything was in great operating condition. The view from the deck was incredible. Excellent snorkeling was available just outside the door. The location is close to Red Hook, so very convenient for shopping, eating, or a ferry ride over to St. Johns. We ate at the Sapphire Grill just above the marina - a short walk from the condo. Also at Iggys and Mims over at Bolongo Bay - a short ride through Red Hook and around the east end of the island. We also ate at the Blue Orchid at St. Peters overlooking Magens Bay. This was a high end cozy restaurant - a good spot for a special occasion. We took our car over to St. Johns for a day trip and enjoyed snorkeling at Salt Bay, Vie's Beach, and south and north Haulover Bay. Owners are great people. I highly recommend this condo.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay!!! Thank you for your kind words. :) The snorkeling is awesome at Sapphire Beach, isn't it? I love snorkeling at those St John sites as well. :) Please come back and visit us again!!!

My husband and I spent a week last month in the Virgin Islands and we stayed at Sapphire Beach E206. It was perfect for us! Just as beautifully decorated and comfortable as the pictures suggest. The view from the patio (in fact from the entire condo) can't be beat. The property was clean and had all we needed to feel at home, we cooked in a couple of nights and the kitchen was well stocked. Just looking at pictures when writing this, makes me homesick to return. What a fabulous place to be!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
