Picture yourself far away from the stresses in your life. Away from work, the hunny-do list, away from the daily grind, traffic, junk mail, bills, errands...You wake up in the morning refreshed and the first sounds you hear are the wind in the lodge pole pines and the birds. As you lay there you contemplate “What shall I do today?”... Take the two minute drive to the Rocky Mountain National Park and continue up Trail Ridge Road for spectacular views of the great divide... perhaps go hiking or just see what wildlife there is to see... or maybe just hang out on the deck at the cabin for the wildlife viewing, as our year round residents the moose and deer do often cross the property. Yes, maybe just hang out at the cabin. Play a game of horseshoes, put together a puzzle, sit in the comfortable lounge chairs with a cold drink and read or take a nap in the hammock surrounded by evergreen, aspen and wild flowers. It’s a delight just to walk around the cabin and discover that each room is decorated with a different theme and each has its own unique bear.
Perchance, if you get inspired, you’ll take the 1 mile walk around Columbine Lake and stop at the access points for more fabulous views of the mountains around the area while you let the kids play on the playground at the shore. Maybe tomorrow you’ll want to venture out for golfing in a beautiful backwoods golf course, there is plenty of opportunity for fishing, boating and exploring on picturesque Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake and Lake Granby as the three are connected. Be sure to take a walk down the boardwalk in the old west village of Grand Lake for a wonderful meal at one of the superb restaurants or to do a little shopping. You can’t forget to pick up souvenirs for all those people at home that aren’t getting to enjoy the same things you are.
For those of you that can’t quite get away from it all we’ve included a computer equipped with high speed internet access and a wireless connection if you bring your own.
Whatever you decide to do you’ll enjoy your stay in the “Not Forgotten Cabin” where everything you need is there to make your stay delightful.

My wife, son, and I spent 4 wonderful days in this lovely cabin. The private lake location is excellent and we felt like we lucked out with this cabin and location. We took runs around the lake in the morning; traveled into Grand Lake's quaint downtown during the day; and BBQ'd on the deck at night. It was relaxing and perfect. It's also at the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park and the drive to Estes Park on Trail Ridge Road is a must. We can't wait to come back!! Highly recommend this cabin..

We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. It was especially well equiped with dishes and glasses.( We liked the fact that they weren't plastic.) It was very clean and well kept.Having different rooms with a/v equipment was nice for the teenagers in our group. It was very comfortable inspite of the frigid temps. The roads were welll maintained inspite of being a holiday weekend. The owner was very prompt with communications and we appreciate the fact that the price stated was the true price with no hidden cleaning costs. We took advantage of the proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park and went snowshoeing. I would definately recommend "Not Forgotten Cabin".

My family of 4 kids and us fit so well into this home. EVERYTHING was there when you needed it...snow shovel, coffee fliters, hot chocolate cups to go for a snowy walk on the lake, etc. There were great movies, games, puzzles for cozy evenings. We kept warm with a wonderful fireplace/heater! The beds were cozy with plenty of linens and blankets when needed. Clean, nicely appointed, great mountain get away. Super location, plenty of room, beautiful "mud room" for dusting off after being in the snow. Terrific home, flexible owners, wonderful location and yes, we saw 2 Moose on the frozen lake on Christmas Day! Thank you!
