  We were three generations having holiday in Nice: grandmother,daughter and granddaughter in just 10 months. We knew we would spend a great deal of time outdoors in the wonderfull City, but also would enjoy indoor-life in the appartment we rented. L'art des amis seamed to be the right choise from the describsions in Homeaway pages. AND...it fullfilled all our expentations:-). The appartment was just as nice, beatiful, well equiped, and "french artistic" as the pictures and the describsions claimed. With the wonderfull, great balcony - sunlight from early morning till evening - the appartment was exactly what we had wished it to be. We had a wonderfull family vacation with 5 nights stay in Nice. Everything about having the keys and arrival/departing the appartment, were in the best hands of Sara Jane from Promholliday. She was very helpfull and kind. Since we arrived early in the day, and traveled with a baby she took care of us having the appartment some hours earlier than expected. She also were very helpfull when the internet-acces were out off order,- due to an unplugged wire;-)). A baby crib we rented, was placed in the appartment when we arrived and functioned just fine. We also were welcomed by a bottle of wine in the fridge;-). All email corrspondance with the owner Don Corliss about payment and helpfull informations was a great pleasure. We Can only give our best recommandations to this wonderfull "place in the sky" . We already are planning a new trip to Nice and we are absolutely sure that the place we want to stay in is in wonderfull L'art des amis.

  The apartment was perfect. It is beautifully furnished with all the modern conveniences one needs, while keeping an atmosphere from an earlier french era. The rooms have lots of light and the bedroom, kitchen, and living room all walk out onto balconies. The couch changes into a comfortable bed so in addition to the very comfortable double bed, three people can easily stay here. It is also very quiet. I would definitely return to L'Art Des Amis.

  This apartment is on the top floor of a very nice old building on a quiet street in an area that is close to the Promenade Anglais and about a ten/fifteen minute walk from the Old Town. The apt is compact, spotless, well designed and well furnished. The main living area (which has lovely views from the windows) was extremely bright and sunny when the sun shone which it did on the first few days of the holiday and we had to push ourselves to leave it to go out. Then the weather changed becoming cold and wet and we found it easy to make the apt warm and cosy with the heating system. There was plenty of hot water available at any time for baths and showers. Also as we travelled light we used the washing machine and there it was easy to dry clothes in on the heater in the bathroom. We found that the owners, Don and Franklin were very efficient and pleasant to deal with by email answering all queries promptly thus making the booking process and the return of the security deposit as simple as possible. They take a lot of pride in the apt and certainly give the impression that they want all their guests to enjoy staying there and have a great holiday. The location is excellent and there is a neighbourhood feel about the surrounding area that we liked very much. There is a small supermarket just a few minutes away and it was very convenient to go there to buy bagettes in the morning along with the locals. This shop was very well stocked and on the one occasion that we had dinner in the apt there was no problem on getting the ingredients for the meal there. The kitchen in the apt has everything that you would need to cook if you so wished. We were delighted with our stay in this apt and would very much like to stay there again next year if we get the opportunity to return. .

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, people with disabilities.

  I am in love with Nice, France and must go back (often)! When I do I will be staying at L'Art des Amis! Part of my new love affair has to do with the very comfortable and well situated apartment. A very quick and beautiful bus ride from the airport, it's easy to find and get to. I recommend buying the $4 (euro) ligne d'azur bus/tram pass - it's good for a full day and the ride to the neighborhood is less than 15 minutes. It's also cheaper than a $25 taxi ride. The neighbors are very friendly and helpful. I loved the antique "lift" or elevator! The amenity updates and modern kitchen are perfect for cooking breakfast (or any meal) - it's also fully stocked with everything you need, including a cork screw. The main bathroom is spacious, with the separate toilet as a convenience. The apartment can easily sleep 3-4, while being comfortable and safe for 1 person (I traveled solo). The apartment is in the middle of a great/quiet neighborhood that is very close to the beach and Old Nice. When you open all the windows and doors in the evening you get an incredible cross-breeze with a neighborhood view and familial sounds. I walked everywhere. Just 1 block away is a supermarche (super market) with friendly and helpful staff. There are plenty of supermarches and pharmacies around to buy your treats and gifts - much cheaper than buying from boutiques. Three minutes from the apt. you can shop the quaint yet modern boutiques that lead to Old Nice. Old Nice, the seafood, and outdoor flower/fruit market at Cours Saleya are a must! On Mondays, they have an outdoor antiques market. Note: the poste is very close to Cours Saleya and Place Massena!! Or make sure to bring a half-empty large luggage for your cadeau! If you can, go see the Matisse and Chagall museums in the gorgeous neighborhood of Cimiez. You will see/feel the reason why Matisse chose to live there! You can get to both museums in 10 min. from Place Massena, on bus 15 or 22. The grounds around the Matisse musee are beautiful, while the art in Chagall are inspiring! I'd like to see more maps or information about the neighborhood in the apartment (ready to read, upon arrival). I situated myself to the neighborhood by walking around and getting lost, which is actually very helpful. But then I found the Office du Tourisme et des Congres along the Promenade Des Anglais.I would also like a more comfortable (thicker) mattress. Otherwise everything was perfect! I will stay again!

  We were very pleased we rented this apparent! The listing description was accurate, Don & Franklin responses to all my inquiries were prompt and comprehensive, location just perfect – quiet and safe, and at the same time very convenient, there is a short walk to the beach with a supermarket and multiple cafes/restaurants and groceries along your way. The apartment has everything you need for a wonderful relaxing vacation. I have already recommended it to my friends and relatives and definitely will come back again. There was also very convenient payment method via credit card. Thanks again to the owners for such thorough and responsible preparation:)

  What a great place, location, service. Don was very accommodating, and flexible with when we checked out as this was important for us. Location is brilliant as near enough to everything but away from noise etc so you get the best of both worlds. In the apartment you have all you need. Hob although we never used this, microwave oven which is great, fridge (for my beers and a nice bottle of wine) wine was kindly in our fridge for our arrival - thank you for this, but I am not sure whether this is standard so dont t take my word that there will be one left for you, and also I don't want to implicate the owners that they should have to buy one for evey guest!!! Balcony's are great sun all day until dinner time and then we were out anyway. Really secure and great little lift!!! We didnt have water 2 nights but this was because they were doing work, nothing to do with the owners or the apartment. Really near train station, beach, restaurants etc The apartment is really spacious and great airy feel to it. Some cushions would be nice for the sun loungers but that is just me!!! Great internet connection, wardrobe space, bathroom and shower was perfect as it runs off a comi boiler rather than having to wait for the water to heat up. Just to make you aware though there is no air conditioning which i didn't realise, however there is a fan - it was just at night when there is no breeze it can get quite warm, apart from that this is a great place to stay and would absolutely recommend. We would definitely go back especially out of season as if it was not as warm then there would be no issue having no air conditioning. Don thanks again for your accommodation and flexibility it was appreciated. Maybe be back in contact with you again in the near future. If you are looking at the apartment I would highly reccommend it.

  I spent four night, three days in this lovely apartment, which is exactly as pictured and described. It has all the mod cons and, most importantly, has comfortable furnishings. I loved the big red velvet chair and the canopy bed. Ventilation was good, especially in the evenings when the summer breeze was better than air conditioning, and it was never too hot. Great location - it was an easy walk from the train station and just a few blocks to the beach to enjoy the Bastille Day fireworks. Good communication from the owners who promptly answered all questions. I'm very pleased to have found this rental and hope to have the opportunity to stay again.

3 Night stays will be considered if booked within 30 days of arrival depending on availability. Less than 3 nights is double the 4 night minimum nightly rate.
