In the midst of the stunning beauty of the Humboldt Coast nestles the Quail Farm Inn. Surrounded by tall fir tress on a small hill, it overlooks green pastures where wildlife abounds. On any day, deer, raccoons, fox, chipmunks and lots of quail and other wild birds can be seen grazing or scurrying for food. All this and more can be seen while lounging in deck chairs or bathing in the outdoor soaking tub for two.
Among the unique small towns the Quail Farm Inn is near, Arcata just eight minutes south is an old lumber town built surrounding a plaza with many unique shops, Victorian buildings and Humboldt State University. Trinidad is just 15 minutes north, home of a famous lighthouse and incredible fishing harbor views. Just 20 minutes south lies Eureka another old lumber town with beautiful Victorian homes. Historic old town with many shops including the original Restoration Hardware Store. Ferndale is 30 minutes south whose entire main street is a National Historical Site. Among the many shops is nestled art galleries, an old-fashioned country store and is the gateway to the Lost Coast, an amazing drive.
