This luxurious four bedroom/four bath, approximately 2650 square foot home is ideally located in a boutique beachside community directly adjacent to famous Rosemary Beach. The home features gulf views and the most incredible porches!
This home is tastefully decorated with painted-pine furnishings, slip-covered down sofas, original folk art, and antique heart pine furniture. The floors are all hardwoods with colorful cotton throw rugs. The bedrooms and porches feature ceiling fans (you probably will not need them with the constant gulf breezes).
This corner lot offers all the privacy guests are looking for on a vacation with the convenience of a short stroll to Rosemary Beach for lunch or shopping. The beach is approximately 175 yards down a lazy brick-paved street.
The bedrooms are all unique with 100% cotton sheets, lots of pillows, and either down comforters or bright quilts. Each bedroom features a private bath with his-and-her sinks and ceramic-tile baths or showers. The master suite features a king-size bed, jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower, and private porch for viewing the gulf. All the bedrooms feature customized walk-in closets. The kids bunk room is sure to please with two sets of built-in bunks.
The living room and dining room are perfect for entertaining with a heart-pine dining table with chairs for eight. The living room features a cozy fireplace and built-in bookshelves with a surround-sound stereo with CD and DVD. Speakers are located in the kitchen, living room, dining room, porches, and patio. The gourmet kitchen features the latest stainless appliances and an island for casual dining.
This area opens to an additional 650 square feet of covered/shuttered porch complete with a swinging bench and rocking chairs. A teak outdoor dining table completes the porch!
Sit back and relax while viewing the beautiful gulf coast... or relax on the covered patio downstairs while viewing the private pool (approximately 14-feet x 26-feet) complete with comfortable outdoor lounge chairs. Do not forget to enjoy the private outdoor shower after a long day at the beach!!! There is also a large stainless gas grill for those special summer meals.

We found the Grits Carlton to be a marvelous home, very spacious, very well decorated, and suited to all of our needs. We had a family birthday party on the deck and had so much fun. Overall a terrific stay and we plan to return next year. ( My sister-in-law and family stayed at another home on the street and they were very jealous of the Grits!) Thanks so much!

Best vacation we have ever had! This house is so beautifully decorated, spacious, comfortable and ideally located. The photo's cannot possibly do it justice. We were very comfortable allowing our teenage daughters to take their bikes for snowballs, book store, etc. The pool and balconies were our favorite hangouts. The house is so nice it made it hard to leave to do anything else. The kitchen is perfect for those of us who like to cook. Everything you need! The beach is so pretty, very family oriented and well maintained. First time in over 10 years I have seen my spouse truly relax. If there was anything we didn't have Wild Olives or the Sundries did and we all came home glowing, rested and a little bit heavier! Kristie this is such a treasure. Thank You for sharing with us! I cannot think of one thing we would have changed...except adding another week and another.... We hope to do it again soon!

My family and I recently returned from a week at the Grits Carlton and we all agree it is our favorite and we have been staying along the Destin/30-A area for over 23 years!! The home is so comfortable and so tastefully and comfortably decorated. I am not sure that I have truly enjoyed a home as much as this one. The last day I just sat on the porch in the swing and enjoyed the breezes and the view. My grown children commented that the linens and beds were so comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed! We did enjoy La Cocina(sp?) across the street and all we had to do was walk there as so many other neat places in Rosemary. Thanks Kristi for everything!

A perfect location is how I describe this stunning home. My family all told me it was the best vacation they have ever had. Everyone just had such a wonderful time in the home and pool. And the nice stroll to the ocean seemed so pleasant. I want to think Kristi for letting us relax and enjoy her home. The only thing i regret is i needed another week to become more familiar with the town of Rosemary. Every person we ran into was so kind and welcoming. I truly enjoyed the morning walks along 30A. I could go on and on about how perfect everything worked out in this home. It suited us perfect for my family of 10. Thank you again Kristi for letting us share a beautiful experience. WHAT A GREAT PLACE ! A perfect get-a-way. This house is beautiful, comfortable, very family friendly in a gated community with fabulous local restaurants within walking distance. We loved the private heated pool. Rosemary Beach is very close by and is a beautiful area for families and friends . We highly recommend it and we plan to return!

A comfortable, convenient and beautiful vacation home. We loved our time there - easy access to the beach and to Rosemary Beach shops and restaurants. The spacious and private design makes the home a perfect choice for a large family gathering or a group of friends.
