This luxurious four bedroom/four bath, approximately 2650 square foot home is ideally located in a small community directly adjacent to famous Rosemary Beach.

This home is tastefully decorated with painted-pine furnishings, slip-covered down sofas, original folk art, antique heart pine furniture, and an unobstructed gulf-view to die for. The floors are all hardwoods with colorful cotton throw rugs. The bedrooms and porches feature ceiling fans (you probably will not need them with the constant gulf breezes).

This corner lot offers all the privacy guests are looking for on a vacation with the convenience of a short stroll to Rosemary Beach for lunch or shopping. The beach is approximately 150 yards down a lazy brick-paved street.

The bedrooms are all unique with 100% cotton sheets, lots of pillows, and either down comforters or bright quilts. Each bedroom features a private bath with his-and-her sinks and ceramic-tile baths or showers. The master suite features a king-size bed, jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower, and private porch for viewing the gulf. All the bedrooms feature customized walk-in closets. The kids bunk room is sure to please with two sets of built-in bunks.

The living room and dining room are perfect for entertaining with a heart-pine dining table with chairs for eight. The living room features a cozy fireplace and built-in bookshelves with a surround-sound stereo with CD and DVD. Speakers are located in the kitchen, living room, dining room, porches, and patio. The gourmet kitchen features the latest stainless appliances and an island for casual dining.

This area opens to an additional 650 square feet of covered/shuttered porch complete with wicker, Adirondack, and rocking chairs. A teak outdoor dining table completes the porch!

Sit back and relax while viewing the beautiful gulf coast... or relax on the covered patio approximately (650 square feet) downstairs while viewing the private pool (approximately 14-feet x 26-feet) complete with comfortable outdoor lounge chairs. Do not forget to enjoy the private outdoor shower after a long day at the beach!!! There is also a large stainless gas grill for those special summer meals.

  • The Grits Carlton is one of the most comfortable houses I have ever stayed. We have gone back 3 times for Thanksgiving, girls weekend and birthday celebration with couples. The huge wrap around porch is the place to be.. with comfortable chairs, swing, music and view of the ocean. You feel right at home with books to read, wireless internet service and a pottery barn feel. The heated pool is where you want to hang out for the day! You can walk to Rosemary Beach and eat at many restaurants. Once you park, you don't want to leave!

  • The Grits Carlton(we love that name!) is our favorite beach destination.We walked in the door and fell in love. We could see the owners attention to detail, creative decor, comfortable family- friendly furniture and beds, beautiful kitchen-and the balcony- (whoa!! we lived out there)-- the perfect beach house. It had everything we could possibly need and more. Rosemary Beach was amazing and had so much to do within walking distance, great for kids!! This house was just right for our crew and will be the first place we check into when we take the next vacation! Thank you for such a wonderful place-we loved it!

  • WHAT A GREAT PLACE ! A perfect get-a-way. This house is beautiful, comfortable, very family friendly in a gated community with fabulous local restaurants within walking distance. We loved the private heated pool. Rosemary Beach is very close by and is a beautiful area for families and friends . We highly recommend it and we plan to return!

  • We have stayed at the Gritz for two years now, and I actually cried when we had to leave this year. It is becoming our home away from home. The home is beautiful, the pool is great, the decorating and appliances are up to date and very nice. The wrap around porch is so great to just lounge on. I can't say enough great things about it. The rentors are great to deal with. The location is fabulous. Our kids just had the best time too. We would highly recommend this beach home to anyone, just don't get our time slot for next year!!!
