Our friends rented this house for a Birthday weekend and we had a great time. We really enjoyed the house and the location. The house is very clean and spacious. It was really nice to have a full kitchen and laundry room at our disposal for such a long weekend. It even has cable so we didn't miss any football games that weekend. The couch beds and bunk beds allowed for several of us to stay at the house. There were about 40 people in attendance at the family BBQ on Saturday night. The backyard is so big, that you couldn't even tell there were that many people there. We were able to take our boat out and be right on the water which was really nice. The water there is clean and with minimal traffic allowed for some great wakeboarding pretty much all day long. We highly recommend this spot for any event. It's priced well. It's a great space for boating, fishing, or just hanging out.

We had a great time! Thanks for the use of your house...it was good to have all kids together for a few days with worrying about where we had to be next! We made good use of the deck and tried to fish...it was quite funny since we are not fishermen! Have a great weekend Nicole

We had reservations for this house on June 14 and 15. The house and location have loads of potential but fall short of expectations because of the cleanliness. The pictures must be from 2006 when house was first put on VRBO. The carpet is now gray and so stained that it was disgusting. The windows were all filthy, including and especially the downstairs sliding glass doors. There were LOTS of dead flies and cobwebs, especially around the windows. The furniture outside no longer had the nice pads etc. In fact, most were broken - one had a back no longer attached, one was missing an arm etc. The outdoor patio tables looked liked they hadn't been cleaned in many months. The stairs and railing around the house were full of webs. It was hard for us to believe that anyone had stayed here recently (even though there was a posting from May) because of the dust and dirt in general in and around the place. We only stayed one night because we were so uncomfortable there. We have rented many places in and around the New Braunfels and have never been disappointed till we rented this place.
Owner response:I am very sorry your visit was not ideal for you. While I know I can not please everyone I take alot of pride in everyone enjoying the house and that every other guest has enjoyed their stay. Between every guest there is a cleaning service that comes in and cleans. But one unhappy guest is too many so below I will address your concerns The carpet did need cleaning - a previous guest had got the carpet dirty and with the 4 hour window between guest I was not able to get it cleaned. I am sorry for that. The carpet is steam cleaned monthly and is normally clean. It has been cleaned again since. I appreciate when guests let me know when something breaks or needs special attention because often I do not see the house between guest. Per my conversation on the phone during the stay and my review of the house after the stay I feel the review was being extreme. The outdoor tables are wiped/sprayed down between guest and since they are outside and do naturally get dirty I provide picnic table covers for the guest. There is not a chair that does not have the back attached. There is only one chair outside that is supposed to have padding and it is on it. There is one lawn chair that has an arm rest that is missing so another chair was added but I did leave that chair at the house for the guests in case they still want to use the extra reclining lawn chair. There are over 30 places to sit outside. The cleaning crew knocks down any spider webs and dead flies outside and I have insecticides sprayed to help prevent this but it is outside at the lake and sometimes they will be there. The windows are cleaned between guests. Again I am very sorry you were not pleased and even though it is a 2000 sq ft house on the lake that rents out, so sometimes it will not be "perfect", I still stand behind the house, cleaning crew & all the previous guest enjoyment. Thank you

We spent May 2011 graduation weekend at this home. We had a large family party on Saturday everyone enjoyed the big backyard. The invitation said bring your own lawn chair and carpool to the party. Only 6 parking spaces available but lucky for us our real house is close so most people were able to park there and shuttle into the party. Some were able to come by boat. The boat lift was also great to have we kept a boat there all weekend. I would stay at this house again.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our family had an amazing stay! The view is beautiful and relaxing and there is plenty of space for the whole family. It is close to town so you can enjoy all of the amenities of New Braunfels too! We definitely recommend this place to all. Thank you!

Stayed there 9-10-10 & 9-11-10. Had a great time. There is plenty of room & beds though not all are in individual rooms. The view from the balcony across the back is fabulous. So peaceful & relaxing. We played dominoes down in the game room & enjoyed our family time. Sunned on the sun deck, some fished (both off shore & in the boat), some swung off the ropes hung over the water, ate down by the water & in the house. Air conditioning felt great too! The Schobels restaurant right up the road had a great breakfast buffet. The neighborhood is a little older but this place was wonderful. The house is casual enough to be comfortable but still nice, a good combination. I would recommend it to anyone. Since the yard is sloped down to the water there are some steps to go down to the water but there is the balcony for anyone who is not comfortable with the steps.
