Our family of 10 adults and 6 children were fortunate enough to spend a week in this elegant home! We were all thrilled as we entered the house. Is is just lovely! large and with high ceilings, comfortable and beautifully decorated! The kitchen is a dream - large enough for several to work in at once and very well equipped with duplicate appliances (2 coffee pots, 2 toasters, 2 refrigerators (1 in upstairs laundry) , MANY pots and pans, casseroles, dishes etc.) We all found the bedrooms very comfortable with the master on the first floor especially huge! The pool and deck areas were perfect. We were thankful for the bit of shade over the pool on the hot afternoons. The little ones loved the spa as they could manage the depth easily. We were all able to eat together on the deck and part of it is covered to provide shelter in case of rain. There was a large gas grill which was easy to use. The location is beyond great! Access to the beach was very easy as we moved from ocean to pool easily. The beach in this area of Sea Pines has a lifeguard during most days and the white sand beach is wide and safe with no significant undertow.. The privilege of having 2 hours daily of free tennis at the Sea Pines Racquet Club was used by the adults daily. The bike path was close and provided another source of recreation. This home is nicer than the pictures show! It truly was a "dream vacation"! If we return to Hilton Head, this is where we would stay! Thanks Chris, for sharing your lovely, high-end home!

Great Weekend Golf Trip

We really enjoyed the location and layout of your home. It was 1 of 4 homes used for a long weekend golf trip and served as the central gathering place for the group. The large kitchen and dining areas easily accomodated the "Champions" Steak Dinner for the large group. The 2nd full size refrigerator was great to have also! Bedrooms and bathrooms were laid out well. The pool and decking area was quite relaxing. I own a home in Seapines and have also rented many homes over the years in Seapines. Many homes are quite outdated, but not this home. It was very comfortable and enjoyed by all. Thank you.

We love the close proximity of the home to the beach but that's about it. Upon entering the home we were struck by the 'musty' order and filthy carpeting. We had waited to get in because they said the carpets were being cleaned.Yikes! They couldn't have looked any dirtier. The pool had so much chlorine our skin literally turned red and the hot tub couldn't even be turned on because it was in a lock box. The kitchen was not stocked for a home of this size as you'd expect (9 forks, 3 teaspoons, cracked dishes,1 measuring cup,& a leaky fridge). There isn't any way 18-22 people could stay here and expect to eat together. The 3rd floor dorm room was an absolute sauna but after 2 days it cooled off with the aid of 6 large floor fans! . The bathrooms didn't even have a towel bar to hang wet bathing suits. And, the TVs were a joke! They were all so small it was rude; and only one main room even had a DVD player. We could actually see the neighbors big screen TV better through the sliding glass door better than the one we were trying to watch. We have had countless service people stopping in to try and address the endless issues. Nothing but annoying and pointless. We have been renting large homes in Sea Pines every summer for over 10 years and look forward to a week of fun in the sun with our family. But this year seems like WORK! It really boils down to a lack of management from Sea Pines Resort and we aren't sure the owners are even aware of the abusive Sea Pines management staff. Basically we felt we were held hostage in a home that has a lot of potential but is not anywhere worth money for all the aggravation we had to endure.

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with our children and grandchildren at this lovely home! All 10 adults and 6 grandchildren had a magnificent time. The home is not only large and comfortable, it is very high end! The bedrooms were all roomy and nicely done with comfortable beds, upscale linens and towels, and granite countertops. There were multiple rooms for one to relax without feeling crowded. The older grandchildren enjoyed the privacy of their own "loft" on the 3rd floor. The loft cooled nicely at night (had it's own separate A/C). We loved the kitchen - roomy, very well equipped including all the knives, pans, dishes, and casseroles one would want. It was large enough for several people to work in at once. There were even 2 coffee pots, 2 portable mixers, a second fridge in the laundry room on the second floor, and much more. We were all thrilled with the location - perfect access to the beach (only a 2 or 3 minute walk) and right next to the Sea Pines Beach Club. The beach area at this part of the island was beautiful! - white sand with a very wide beach and a lifeguard on duty most hours. This area of Sea Pines is extremely pretty with bike baths, trees, and great privacy. We all enjoyed the pool and Spa and also the large deck area with several places for sitting and eating. The 3 and 4 year olds loved the spa as it was just the right size for them. The 2 hours of complimentary tennis at the Sea Pines Racquet club were used every day! My children like the privilege of reserving their desired court time. Having a "Charleston Door" allowed the pool area to be secured at night and all the pool toys and accessories could be left out. My final word is that this home not only MET my expectations, but EXCEEDED them! The pictures on the site do not do the home justice! Thanks Chris for allowing us to use your lovely home! It was a perfect vacation and family reunion!

The description of this house and its' amenities is accurate. It is more beautiful and spacious than the pictures displayed. The decor is very pretty with comfortable furniture throughout. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely, with 2 luxurious masters. The well equipped kitchen and dining areas are nice for group meals and acitvites. Our perfect weather allowed for lots of pool and beach time. The large pool and spa are terrific. The close proximity to the beach and "Beach Club" is a real plus. We have had many Hilton Head vacations, our stay in this house ranks as a family favorite. The owner is very helpful and a pleasure to work with. Thank you, we definately want to return.

We spent last Thanksgiving here with our extended family and had a fantastic time. The place is beautiful and the location couldn't be better...so close to the beach. The teenagers loved the top floor "loft" - although a ceiling fan would be nice and a bathroom is badly needed up there. There is room for a lavatory so the "kids" don''t have to come down to the second flow to use the bathroom during the night. The kitchen is a dream and having the pool table downstairs just made the week! Grandma beat one of the teenagers in a game of pool!!YaHoo! There's room for everyone so we're going back this year.

Dear Chris - just wanted to drop you a note to tell you how much we enjoyed 22 Red Cardinal in Hilton Head. The house was fantastic for our extended family which was made up of multiple age groups of people from 16-77. The setup allowed lots of privacy but also large areas for groups to share time together. In particular, we thought the kitchen/dining room area was very well set up for a large group. I have rented in Hilton Head many times now and your hot tub and pool was the best and also the warmest in March when the weather is variable. The outside deck was very sheltered so even on a windy day at the beach, it was very pleasant to sit beside the pool which also has lots of shade areas. The location was wonderful - being so close to the beach was such a bonus - the teenagers enjoyed being so close and going back and forth to swim or play catch almost as much as they enjoyed the pool table and multi tv sets. The rest of us enjoyed the great morning walks on the beach - it was a lot of fun to ride our bikes and how great is it to be able to walk two minutes to see the beautiful stars. The decorating was lovely, the amenities fantastic - the furniture was comfortable, we all liked the bedrooms rooms with seating areas, private tv and adjoining bathrooms (all fantastic but two were palatial) and we loved the kitchen with the huge fridge and two ovens as well as the fact several people could be in there making dinner with others sitting at the counter so it made a nice communal experience. The dorm for the kids was a nice touch which they enjoyed - it was a little warm some nights - a ceiling fan might be a good addition. You have done a first rate job on this house. We'd love to rent it again.

This house is really great. It is much more attractive than the pictures show. Lots of extras, including garage for three cars, and entrance to the house from the garage if it's raining. Really nice pool and covered patio around the pool. The dorm area on the top floor was too warm, the air conditioning didn't work well for us up there. There is plenty of wifi internet access, all the kids stayed linked up the whole time. The beach around there gets crowded, with the advantaqe of having lifeguards right there, but disadvantage of having to deal with a lot of people, especially at high tide. We were very happy and comfortable at 22 Red Cardinal. We have stayed at many beach houses in Hilton Head and this one is as nice and luxurious as the best of them.
