Enjoy your stay at a newly constructed Cumberland, Wisconsin log Cottage, offering all the amenities of being on Beaver Dam Lake as well as within walking distance of downtown Cumberland. This quaint cottage/home, built last year (2005) offers clean, rarely-used accommodations.
This one-story cottage is done in rustic wood; so you can enjoy the niceties of new construction with the look of a rustic cabin. The floors and ceilings are hardwood, the bedrooms carpeted and the bathroom and kitchen tiled in stone and granite.
There is only a 50-foot, flat grade to the lake, which offers 100 feet of lakeshore on the Norwegian Bay side of Beaver Dam Lake. Norwegian Bay has been noted as the "Best Fishing Lake Around!" A 20-foot private dock provides plenty of opportunity to reel in bass, northern pike or panfish; and a public boat landing only a five-minute drive away. The lake is also great for tubing, skiing and other water sports! A fire ring and deckside dining offers the beauty of the nature that overlooks the lake.
Just a two-minute drive or ten-minute walk from downtown Cumberland, where you can browse for antiques, collectables, or enjoy a meal, movie rentals or the "must have" local Dairy Queen. Also in town is the City of Cumberland's Municipal swimming beach, picnic area and children's play area, Eagle Point Swimming Beach, and for the adults [just outside of town], The Cumberland Golf Course. Also for the adults--The Turtle Lake Casino is only 11 miles away!
Fifteen minutes away is Rice Lake, WI which offers a Cinema-10; shopping mall, Wal-Mart, Shopko, The Turtleback Golf Club, more dining options, and a indoor roller skating rink and bowling alley. Other small towns to visit in the area are Hayward, Spooner, Shell Lake, Turtle Lake, and Taylors Falls.
